  • Some people struggle to get the grey tube fitted in to the tap unit of their perfectdraft machine. In this short video I show how I personally fit them. I've never had a problem. Watch to the end for a quick hack for those struggling.

Seen another tip video saying that you should pull the pour lever down when fitting the pipe. What's your opinion Neil

I've heard it said but have never found the need. I'm not sure if the bit that clamps the rubber is located until after the grey bit is clicked in or not.

There is no point in that, the handle is disengaged when the grey pipe is not fitted. When you next go to change one, press the little level down that's in the groove where the grey tube goes, you will see that the tube clamps pop up under the handle to close the pipe and will open when you pull the handle down.

I have noticed now on mine the bit that is pressed down is not right fully down now can hear a small hiss bubble sound from kegs i was sure it was not like that when i first got it. Any ideas?

If it's the tap unit, make sure it's located correctly in the keg. Push down on both sides.

@@nmealey the pipe part it is before its even pushed down on keg where you hear the clicks, it seems to not be flush down into tap unit

The grey disposable part? Try taking the tap off, fit the tube to the tap and rotate the keg 180 degrees. The keg may have a wee nick on the black bit
