    Thanks for reliving my late-teen years playing my musicless, bootlegged Starcraft Copy!
    Mengsk was irritating with his tanks. That's why I always took him out first by flooding his base with waves after waves of suicidal mutas while spending my minerals on lings & colonies just to turtle against DuGalle & Artanis, with one 12-muta squad at home to quickly snipe reavers. Artanis was the next one to go before DuGalle because Reavers can't hit air😋 & I sent so many waves of Mutas Artanis' Scouts, Corsairs, & Dragoons just exploded like popcorns. Despite my approach to this mission opposite to you, I ran into the exact same situation: DuGalle's Valkyries just tore my mutas to pieces😟. Yet then I noticed my huge stockpile of mineral & just went: "Forget it! It's Hydraling time!" until DuGalle offered his term of surrender.

    • @HolyknightVader999
      @HolyknightVader999 4 года назад +1

      I played that bootlegged copy when I was a kid back in '98.
      As for the enemies, I bum-rushed DuGalle first with Hydralisks. His units are good against air attacks, so I used purely ground attack units with 7 dozen hydras and a few overlords. Mengsk was all about ground units, so I sent 12 Guardians and 12 Devourers to his base to decimate his forces. Artanis was the hardest since his units were good in both ground and air; I had to build up several flights of Guardians and Devourers to clean his clock.

DuGalle says news of their failure will have reached Earth (by the time of writing his letter I assume,) and yet in the end text it says not a ship made it back report on what happened. 40:40 it happened just off-screen, but those 4 Ghosts made short work of some of your Mutalisks, which is why I don't bother with attacking ground units in Mengsk's base with them. They can't do anything with their concussive attack (25% against large units) against heavily armoured Guardians (base 2 + upgrade 3 = 5 armour): max(13 * .25 - 5, 0.5) = 0.5 per shot

    • @theshambler6814
      @theshambler6814 7 лет назад +3

      Zerg breed ridiculously fast. So long as you have resources (biomass, metal, fuels) you can birth a hell of a lot of Zerg really really fast.

    • @grandace2
      @grandace2 7 лет назад +1

      I acknowledge Zerg do breed ridiculously fast, so long as the said player has resources. In canon/story, I am certain Kerrigan paid a pretty penny or 2 in terms of resources, fuels, and biomass to crush the 3 fleets.
      Much like in wings of liberty 2, according to the wiki regarding the battle for Char, the Terrans took heavy losses at the beginning when they were landing troops, even though the player(s) themselve(s) can limit such losses through multiple means.

    • @HolyknightVader999
      @HolyknightVader999 4 года назад +3

      Nah, Mission 8 is harder. This one isn't so hard once you have the right defenses and you use each team's weaknesses against them. UED has strong air units game, so screw them over with ground units. Dominion is strong with ground units, so use Guardians and Devourers to decimate their forces. The Protoss love using spells on your units, so hit them with shit tons of cannon fodder and then back it up with Guardians.

    Kerrigan was really selfish in this level. She could have taken control of the galaxy if she wasn't such a backstabbing bitch. She practically does nothing with the fact that she controls the largest army in the galaxy, aside from sitting on her ass and invading the Dominion 4 years later-after the Dominion recovered from the severe ass-kicking she gave them.
    How Brood War should have ended:
    Kerrigan: I'll help you defeat the Renegade Zerg on Shakuras!
    Aldaris: She lies! She is infested to the core!
    Raszagal: Silence, Judicator!
    Kerrigan: I'll give you back Aiur if you help me kill the new Overmind!
    Aldaris and Raszagal: SOLD! Where do we sign?
    Kerrigan: Right here on the dotted line........
    (The Protoss cleanse Shakuras with the Xel'Naga Temple, Aldaris and Raszagal sign an official alliance with Kerrigan. A few weeks later, the UED conquer Korhal and take the new Overmind. Events of the Protoss and UED campaigns still take place, minus Aldaris' rebellion)
    (On Char)
    Duran: Hello, Admiral! I'd like to introduce someone to you!
    DuGalle: Duran! You son of a bitch, what's the meaning of this?
    (A Zerg Overlord accompanied by Protoss carriers drops off Kerrigan)
    Kerrigan: Admiral DuGalle! I've been expecting you! The Zerg here that you've come to collect, and the Overmind, were mine! My associates and I will make sure that your reign is short-lived.
    DuGalle: You may find that difficult, you abomination, seeing as how I possess the means of disrupting your control of the Zerg!
    Kerrigan: Ah, you refer to your vaunted Psi Disruptor! The Zerg aren't my only minions, Admiral. Watch your step.....you'll never know what comes from the shadows.
    (Kerrigan sends Zeratul and the Dark Templar to destroy the Psi Disruptor, masses her broods and the Protoss fleet to retake Korhal from the UED. Kerrigan does not betray Mengsk and instead gives him back Korhal and leaves him in peace)
    Kerrigan: Alright, now is the time to destroy that accursed Overmind!
    Aldaris: Don't forget our deal. Aiur must be free of Zerg influence!
    Kerrigan: Alright, Judicator. Send in the Protoss fleet to assist my brood in assaulting the UED forces guarding the Overmind! Zeratul, you know what to do......
    Zeratul: As if you even need to tell me.........
    (Zerg and Protoss forces assault the UED and their renegade Zerg, and Zeratul assassinates the Overmind during the chaos.)
    Kerrigan: Yes! The broods are now mine. I have sent out the order to relocate the Zerg on Aiur back here to Char. You may reclaim your homeworld with my blessings, Judicator.
    Aldaris: Don't be snide, human. We've earned this! The Protoss homeworld is finally saved from the Zerg!
    Kerrigan: I hope you'll make the most of your reign.
    (Kerrigan takes the Zerg, Protoss, and Dominion forces and devastates what's left of the UED fleet)
    DuGalle: Kerrigan, I am prepared to offer terms of surrender. It is my wish that you allow my men to live.......
    Kerrigan: Hold that thought, Admiral. If you agree to serve me, you can rule Earth in my name. Tell the Earthlings that you've won control of the sector at last. I'd like to see what Earth is like now.........
    (A few weeks pass, DuGalle returns to Earth in triumph and brings a "prize" to the UED ruling council)
    DuGalle: Behold, ladies and gentlemen, the prize of the battle! Here is our greatest trophy from the war in the Koprulu Sector!
    (A platform extends with Kerrigan bound and gagged, helpless and seemingly fuming with anger as she "struggles" with her bonds)
    UED Council member: What the hell is that thing?
    DuGalle: This infested human was used by the original Overmind as a command unit for the swarms. She tried to wrest control of the broods from us until I managed to capture her and bring her here!
    (DuGalle presses a button that activates a shock collar on Kerrigan, electrocuting her. Her muffled screams fill the room. She looks with anger at the UED leaders)
    UED Council member: Feisty one, isn't she? (Holds Kerrigan's face) I wonder how the old Overmind managed to keep her pretty?
    (Kerrigan looks around and sees cloaked shadows move into position behind the UED leaders, and she smiles behind her gag)
    (Without warning, Dark Templar assassins led by Zeratul kill the UED councilors. They snuck onboard the same ship Kerrigan and DuGalle were in and followed them both into the chamber where the ruling council presided over Earth and all her colonies. The Dark Templar kill the councilors without mercy, and Kerrigan "breaks free" of her bonds. The Dark Templar evacuate after setting up explosive charges which blow up the building after DuGalle and Kerrigan leave, allowing the former to paint it as a random terrorist attack that killed the UED leaders.)
    (An hour later, back on the UED flagship Aleksander, in low orbit over Earth)
    Kerrigan: How tragic, all of them died due to a savage terrorist attack from one of the vengeful colonials from the Koprulu Sector! How fortunate that the UED now has a leader in you, Admiral DuGalle. Now, do we understand each other, Admiral?
    (Zeratul bares his psi-blade in front of the Admiral to sell the point)
    DuGalle: Understood. I will waste no time in building up my administration.
    Kerrigan: Choose wisely. I will hold you personally responsible for their failures!
    DuGalle: As you wish. Is there anything else you need, my Queen?
    Kerrigan: Go.........rule my people!
    (Kerrigan looks at Dugalle with a smile, sitting on the Captain's chair, with Aldaris, Arcturus Mengsk, and Zeratul flanking her. Kerrigan smiles as she now has control over the UED and the Zerg swarms, as well as the eternal gratitude of the Protoss Empire and the Terran Dominion. She then looks over the grassy plains of Earth and surveys her new domain. Her smile turns into a wide grin as the entire galaxy had just fallen into her lap.)

    Defense composition: 24 Hydralisks, 12 Mutalisks. Add 3-4 Defilers for Plague hits. Three Lurkers for northern entrance, 5-6 Sunken Colonies each for the western and eastern entrances.
    Assault force for UED base: 84 Hydralisks, 3 Overlords.
    Seize base in UED territory for extra minerals and Vespine gas.
    Assault force for Dominion base: 24 Guardians, 12 Devourers.
    Assault force for Protoss base: Same as above except double the Devourers, plus build up ground units until you hit the 200 supply cap so you have tons of cannon fodder for their spells and meatshields against their attacks.
