I'm a finger picker and admit that I have trouble with strumming 😩 I have trouble holding the pick, too! Thank you for something new I can practice! Being an older guitar player, my hands and fingers aren't cooperating as easily as they did, back when I started playing and I really can't sing, either.

Thanks! Rhythm makes up the majority of most songs and it is amazing what can be done with a few chords and a skilled strumming hand. Take care and keep up the great lessons. May I suggest Fogerty's Down on the Corner, it will get folks working on the dreaded F major chord.

Having a thin guitar pick helps. Not too thin but certainly not very rigid. I don’t know pick sizes in terms of numbers but for strumming I do think the thickness matters
