The existence of god can be proved only by criticizing the personal life/other scriptures of those who are against the particular god by pointing assumption/ writings of devotees. (asher may call discoveries). Those were tried the existence by showing sky in earlier days, which cannot be compatible in modern days. Now the same people are trying the way i said.

I always thought believers were the storytellers, but thanks to Maithreyan its now flipped. I like listening to Maithreyan. He does present things in a good way, just as a storyteller should. But he should also provide evidences and scientific reasoning for his conclusions. If he cant, then what is the difference between his views and religious superstitions?

Without appealing to authority he is trying to make his points from from the vantage point of scientific temper. While I completely understand why people need faith as a mental device to negotiate their way through this extremely hostile world, I don't think those who provide that solace to their followers to come forward and say, "hey, our faith is supported by modern scientific findings in cosmology". That's utterly unwarranted.
Maitreyan is right. Universe is immeasurable, infinite, ever existing, beginingless and endless. We cannot think about universe with our limited knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Universe is limitless.

In relation to the argument of morality , Christian believers claim that it paved the way for modern morality is totally unacceptable. God in the Old Testament shows us violent acts that can’t be explained away in any way. There are some Christian explanations, but it doesn’t make any kind of moral sense. The same God is doing the same thing in the Book of Revelation. God loves those who accept him, but he also looks down on those who don’t. There are lots of different verses in the book of revelation about violent punishment for the non believers. Some examples (Rev Ch. 19,6:4,9:15,etc)
