super helpful video! just finalized a solid schedule/routine for piano practice, i’m a beginner but i’m very excited to finally dive into the instrument.
i basically split the routine up into 3 categories for 24 hours (a bit like you did). the categories are: Fundamentals, Improvisation, and Arrangement.
So basically around 30-40 mins of Fundamentals a day, which for me rn is just practicing a Scale (D Major for instance) for 2 octaves (along with its 1 3 5 arp), then simply practicing Fifth intervals across the circle of fifths to visualize fifths well, then moving onto practicing Major triads across the circle. On another day I do the same thing but add a practice where I take a chord from the scale of the prior day and practice its inversions. Then throughout the week I variate all these things, like playing one hand legato and one hand staccato for the Scale and moving the Triads down 4ths for example.
Then with Improv (around 30 mins), for now it’s basically just taking a chord progression from D Major and figuring out good inversions for them. Then when I play the progression, I arp it at times, change the chord rhythms, and sing over it a bit. I also want to start transitioning whatever comes to mind from singing into my right hand to start improvising melodies, even if it’s something very simple. Again, I’m a beginner lol.
Then for Arrangement (around 30 mins), I simply practice 2 arrangements, one being a relatively simple song I really like (but still containing theory traits that push me forward at least a bit), and two being a song in the scale I was practicing.
If you can, let me know any critiques or advice you have for the routine! Thank you!!

This is honestly an incredible practice routine. You hit on all the basics that I do but just on a simpler level which is perfect if your a beginner. I love how you’re arranging things in your practice schedule and sticking to a timeframe. Honestly, I would keep doing this and keep putting things in different keys and really in the end, We’re just trying to get familiar with the keyboard as much as possible and all its complex arrangements.
I would add a time for listening to jazz music and transcribing bits here and there. It sounds like you’re advanced enough to work on a blues. I would start there and start working on Blues in Bb,C and F. I would also recommend throwing in blues scales as well in those keys. Start by learning the tune Freddie Freeloader. Thank you for sharing your routine and taking the time to explain it. I hope my feedback helps a bit

@@CurrentVistaProductions Thank you so much for replying! I will definitely be implementing more scales than just Major and minor for sure, I love the blues scale and pentatonic scale a ton for example and I also like the modes even tho the modes are more contextualized compositionally in the guise of Major and minor. Just taking things step by step and I’m super excited to learn! Oh btw, I subbed to your channel 🙌

Thank you so much for the sub! Your right. Modes are simply major scales. And natural minors are just major scales too.

Thanks. Can you tell about how you improve your feeling of rhythm?

Thank you!! That is an excellent question. I have been playing drums since I was 10 years old and that has helped a lot in my piano playing when studying rhythm. The best thing I can say in the RUclips post is make sure you are practicing with a Metronome and at the same time, make sure you don’t need the Metronome to keep time. This would be a great video topic. Thank you

I play with metronome, yes. But I'm interesting with some else that just play in click. Now I'm playing when metronome show me the weak beat. Like ¹2³4. But I heard from some drummer that his metronome plays weak 8th. But I don't understand how I can play like that
