I remember in the eighties, Daiwa made some great equipment. The had a rod called the Samurai with power mesh construction that had a great feel. Behind Shimano, I'd say their Japanese made stuff is right up there with the best.
Is carbon fibre recycled? I like most anglers have loads of broken or missing pole sections knocking about in the shed. These are useless due to different mandril sizes from different manufacturers. Great video by the way.
Then why are they not sold in the UK and EUROPE? , Unfortunately the best carbon fibres are made into state of the ART long fishing poles , something not used in America , built by some of the best Manufacturing processes Available anywhere. Maybe a stcroix for bass? , but we in the uk and Europe don't have your Bass or use silly 6 and 7 foot lure rods . I have never seen a St Croix rod at a World Freshwater Fishing Championship which usually has teams of 6 anglers and around 30 different nations , cant be all that then eh?.

I still have and use a 5' long, pistol griped Samurai...a little beat up after 30 odd years years, but still a great little rod!

Wow never in my life ever thought have a giant stick dangling in the water as sport fishing this is laughable to an American audience we use reels
Mate, this is laughable to British fisherman too! the poles are for a very minority group of peanuts who can't manage even a knife and fork....
