      There’s no debate or idea exchange with Tate because the way he engages is like a troll so he’ll alter to ‘I was exaggerating’ and say his point was something we all agree on.
      The bigger issue is that the Mano-sphere is a funnel to republicanism. I’m hoping destiny goes on FnF, he’s conquered twitch this should be his next big project.

    What Destiny still didn't explicitly explain, is that XQC should have baited Tate into making prescriptive statements. Asking him stuff like "how do you think people should manage their relationships?" or "should you allow your girlfriend to have male friends?" and once he answers, then you can grapple the things he says. Otherwise he's just floating around in weasel land and he does this shit to you instead. Tate kept asking X what he would do and kept criticizing what he says.

    • @JonezBBQ
      @JonezBBQ Год назад +34

      Except that with Tate, you already know what he would do so you don't even need those prescriptive statements. You already know that Tate would throw himself into danger to protect the people closest to him. He's never in a situation where he refuses to answer a question or speak his mind.

    • @Mike23443
      @Mike23443 Год назад +1

      @@JonezBBQ ok cool aid huffer. I'm obviously not talking about him parading his obviously performative and "good" takes that he can't fucking wait to rub into people's faces whenever he gets a chance to. I'm talking about the shit he cleverly disguises behind thirty layers of "hey man, you do you, I'm just doing things my way, are you telling me how to live my life?" which always end up being the more spicy or controversial stuff like "women should not be allowed to go to clubs alone" or "women should not be allowed to have male friends". Whenever those come up in conversation, it's always in relation to his personal preference. He'll always say that that's just how he likes to negotiate relationships, that his girlfriends always agree to this, that it's just his own way of doing things and that he by no means is telling you how to live your life, so let him live his.
      Except he is telling people how to live their life. He implies it with every word. He judges you for living it differently than he does. But because X came out swinging, he came off as attacking Tate's personal way of life and belief system, while in reality what X meant to criticize is the advice Tate gives on how people should live their life, his "prescriptions".
      That's why you NEED him to EXPLICITLY state those prescriptions, otherwise he'll pretend they aren't prescriptions, and that's just a free optical win for him. But as soon as he codifies them, then you have an actual basis to call him out in the first place. If you think that Tate was just being honest and forthcoming the whole time and didn't absolutely try to manipulate every single word in his favor, you're a sheep. X didn't make it very difficult for him, but Tate 100% lead the narrative exactly the way he wanted to.

    • @schizoflowstate7481
      @schizoflowstate7481 Год назад +10

      This doesn't really do anything, because he'd have to prescribe behavior to others and that could be even more catastrophic since it would actually open up the line of questioning to be pointed at him even more, like xqc refusing to say that he would save his girlfriend from getting SA'd and looking like a weasel, I think everyones too generous saying he was just trying to be tactical when he dodged 3 separate hypotheticals that were very clear to everyone else. He would then always end up directing the question at xqc, and xqc doesn't have an established or well thought out worldview so he'd always crumble.
      He probably just shouldn't debate since he has no perspective and isn't planning to go big into politics or debate since he only operates off 'well this feels gross', because he will either end up mudwrestling with tards or people who are better equipped than him and have spent a lot more time on the topics.

    • @Mike23443
      @Mike23443 Год назад +34

      @@schizoflowstate7481 Bro, you guys are so easily memed on. It's like the only thing anybody remembers is X getting dunked on with the go downstairs hypothetical, and we're ignoring the hour and a half of prior bullshit that Tate was spewing about how he's superior to women and how he's always going to be the one in control and with all the responsibility. If he made prescriptive statements like "You should always aim to be the provider in the relationship and take responsibility for your woman" then you've got him by the balls because he basically just openly admits to misogyny with extra steps. All of the building blocks for exposing his take as completely dogshit were all there, but because there was no foundation ever established, you couldn't take the house apart, cause it was never built. You know exactly the house he's gonna build, you see the blueprint, you know it's a dogshit house, but he hasn't built it. X was trying to show everyone how dogshit the house is, but the house wasn't there. There were only bricks and floorboards scattered on the ground.
      Bottom line is, Tate is taking advantage of abandoned white males, selling them snake oil about what life they dream about and how to get it, when in reality it is neither the life they want, nor can they even attain it using his prescriptions, but that's what they want to hear, so they eat it up. If you stop to think about it from a perspective of a normal fucking person, Tate's world is fucking insane. He is just super good at concealing that reality. The only way to expose it is by contrasting it against the average Joe, and you can't do that, because Tate never said this was meant for the average Joe. That's what the prescription is for. The second he gives advice and a general outline for what to do, he takes the framework of his life, and he applies it to the viewer, the average person. The moment he does that, you can hold up his life, and hold up normie Norman's life side by side and you fucking realize that everything Tate says is just fucking useless. But since he hasn't done that, the contrast was lost, and you get sucked into his world of gigachad harem owner millionaires and hot chicks who do anything for you because of how gigachad you are.

Like arguing racial supremacy, there is one side that argues that selective statistics should be used to prescribe the attitudes we hold for certain groups of people, and they do have certain stats that if you are cynical and materialistic could convince you.
      The other side argues from an idealistic I could even say "Christ-like" position that the more people have more rights and are treated kindly the better the world becomes. You'll look like a fool trying to string together ideas, which is EXACTLY what X looked like in his debate.
      Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if you haven't actually thought through your opinion you should just keep it to yourself. @ralphietwoshoes Год назад

      @@A_000 But that comes down to the foundational reason why xQc lost, and feeds more to the reason of what we’re his intentions with debating Tate in the first place.
      It is quite obvious that xQc doesn’t agree with Tate’s worldview, but the problem is that he doesn’t have a coherent worldview in which to challenge it. He is just going from the gut: “this looks and sounds bad so someone must attack it”. Which is why he mostly just attacks the hypothetical and makes highly charged statements. He had no alternative prescriptions for which to present.
      The best avenue of attack he has, is that the advice that Tate is giving is toxic to Tate’s audience, as they are likely not in the same position that Tate is in, to which the counter argument is Tate’s whole platform is trying to “turn boys into competent men.”

      X's problem is that his mouth mind moves faster than his mouth but not necessarily in a straight line. If he wants to get into debating he needs to learn to consolidate his thoughts and lay them out from point A to point B. He tends to just skip around and if you know the arguments he's trying to make, you can follow; but if you don't it's like trying to catch someone who is teleporting. His juicer mentality is actual detrimental to him since his energy is WAAY too high even before he gets heated. The second he gets heated, he gets flustered and he loses any composure he may have had, which leads to breakdowns in his thought process that subsequently just makes him look delusional, unorganized, chaotic and lacking direction.
      He wants to emulate Destiny, but Destiny can take on a room full of people and STILL get his point across. X can't handle a SINGLE person with wildly differing points of view than him without getting heated. He has a LONG way to go before he should ever be debating people.

    @jonathantom3318 Год назад +1

    Regarding the opening bit, while it is true that one danger in discussion is the tendency to present a narrative that is compelling emotionally rather than compelling on the basis of comprehensive evidence
    There is a danger from the other side: when someone with a powerful narrative derived from the totality of evidence/experience presented to them, is confronted with a compelling set of facts that they have not yet considered, they might mistakenly yield on a vital point
    For instance, there is a general narrative of discontent towards energy laws that particularly harm the most vulnerable members of society
    Many of these people feel like they are being presently sacrificed to preserve the future environment
    In counter to this anger, one might bring up the fact that wind and solar energy are now remarkably cheap, and therefore there is no conflict between providing energy for the poor and creating 100% renewable energy grids
    Of course this ignores other facts about renewables, like how they're much more space costly (nearly 400 times more than fossil fuels) and extremely inconsistent (which means that they require reserve energy, which is typically fossil fuel based)
    Of course, if someone was encountering the fact about the apparent cost of renewables for the first time, that could perhaps completely take the wind out of their sales, even though they are actually right as far as the totality of evidence is concerned (though they cannot know this at the time of encountering a novel set of facts)
    All this is to say that the worldview built up by a person across their lifetime, the one they stake their hearts on, is at times more reliable than a set of contradicting facts.
    Productive conversation must weigh both these bad outcomes against each other in its pursuit of answers

    The correct feminist answer XQC wanted to give to Andrew's question was "if your girl is more competent with a fire arm she should go down and deal with the treat while you wait upstairs". At least I can see MrGirl giving that answer. But most people would consider you a coward including most feminist. Also dam the disgust that Destiny has for more traditional women is out of this world lol.

    • @akeclipsee

      Yeah, it's a 3rd+ wave feminist view of women. Usually they talk aboit choice and opportunity, but when a girls doesn't go for this "better" lifestyle, they really look down upon these women.
      I really think, that they think those women haven't really chosen, because they can never choose that "wrong", when they have all the "freedom", they themselves love so much.
      It's kinda a hate against their perceived unwillingness of traditional women to parttake in the revolution, they fought for.
