And use some common sense too, not all of us are able to work. I had to retire early due to ill health and then compounding that by having an accident, breaking my main arm badly and being unable to even write, which as a teaching assistant was a huge part of my job, scribing for students and helping them. I still, 6.5 years later struggle, I have problems opening a bag of crisps, I can’t peel a potato or use a can opener, let alone do any of my former hobbies, painting, drawing , knitting and all kinds of craft work. The only one of my hobbies I can still do is read. I loved my job, I loved working with students and my colleagues, I still miss going out in the mornings to see what the day’s adventures into education for my students would be and helping them on the steps to the rest of their lives. So please don’t tar all of us with the same brush. Oh and grow up there’s no need to shout at us all!

Come on, I loved Thunderbirds as a child and when they re-ran them back in the 90s my sons loved them too! Might have been puppets but Gerry and Sylvia Anderson were geniuses the storylines were great! All of us girls loved Lady Penelope and Tintin they were our heroines way before we realised there could be real life icons! Starmer is not worthy of being a Thunderbird!
I'm am now a carer for my parents who are both in their late eighties (it's hard work) and I feel incredibly guilty that I have to get a top up of Universal Credit! I was also one of the few who worked all the way through covid as I worked in retail.
Myself and my partner have both retired. My partner now has cancer and I look after him 24/7. We are unable to claim anything as we both have individual old age pension and I have a private pension as I worked as a nurse for 25 years. I pay a quarter of my pension in tax. Thank god I can look after my partner myself ❤
My brother worked from when he left school ,he was in the merchant navy, then the tories got in,the merchant navy started laying people off,my brother being one of them,he then met his girl friend whom was mentaly ill with two children in care, he fought to get them out of care and raised them as his own,he then fell ill and was due to have both his legs amputated, even though his surgeon sent a letter to the dwp, they stopped his benefits, within a year with all the stress of not being able to pay his bills he passed away,I can thank drunken Smith and the tories for this.
I've had M.E. since 2005. There is nothing wrong with my intellect. Its very frustrating that I can't work. It disgusts me that people exploit a system designed to help people who genuinely need it.
Sickness benefits are not easy to get. I’ve struggled for years (working) with no idea that I could get help. and I’m fighting to get PIP. Yes this is an in work benefit but it’s usually denied. Yet - I live near people who are more able bodied but allegedly have bad MH and have more money than I do working. More than one person has said to me that they get more than they did working.
No there's not a laziness crisis. There's a crisis with low wages for people who can't afford the transport cost to work. The high rents, council tax, food prices, transportation costs. Get a calculator in your hand and work out what a realistic minimum wage is!
Government spending comes first, then taxation to pay off the debt the government has with The Bank Of England, think hard about that. We need to reform the BOE.
I'm economically inactive, because the government didn't want me to run my business and contribute £50k in Tax. They preferred to up my taxes to 62% , and I wasn't going to do an 80 hrs week for only 38% of MY money
Omg! Starmer is an android, he is so robotic! Watching him switching on the Christmas lights couldn’t be any more flat, Starmer has no emotional intelligence at all!
I've just gone on the pension in Australia after 50 years of full and part time employment. It took two weeks for the bureaucracy to check me out, and despite being 68 and being unemployed for two months, I only got paid from the day I submitted my form. If I go back to work I have to let the government know within two weeks. Those who are on the unemployment benefits must apply for x number of jobs every month and accept reasonable employment or lose their benefits. It's working well. Does Britain do this?
The thing is, we will eventually hit a catch-22 situation, even if those that have been taking the p... by being lazy and getting benefits for doing nothing unfortunately will not be offered work by those companies who are being crippled by the last budget of having to pay more NI contributions 🤔
This is rubbish my son has autism got no support through school I had to fight for her education then she went college and was let down half way through course . County Council stop paying her transport she couldn’t get there on her own. I couldn’t take her as was long way and had another child in school. I started a career in police and before had a chance government made cuts and took away my training. Now my son is in benefits and part of that is because of lack of support from the system over the years so now she has bad mental health. she desperately wants to work and there is no one to help her get back into work within the government in a way that she can cope.
I wouldn’t give them back to Greece. I would hold onto them & then you can sell them to China or other wealthy country in the future to pay for the benefits bill or the NHS.
A programme was run a few years ago using the evaluation for support measured using 1947 standards. there were 4 different people all receiving benefit. Under the original rules only one young guy retained some payments the other would have had nothing.
wages for the poorest are a joke... the cost of living is constantly rising... if you work you have to pay for prescriptions and the dentist. WHERE IS THE MOTIVE TO WORK!?
As a long term sickness beneficiary, I wish I could work. I get a lot of people game the system. Ironically anyone who can game the system has good skills and would be useful in the workforce. As for unemployment benefit I’d have a limit on the number of years in a life…say 10.
Norway is closing prisons because they have really extreme consequences to law braking. Speeding is 1km over the limit and on the spot fines you have the option of 500€ or 7 days in prison… what you going choose…. ?
I’ve worked every day since I left school meaning I left school on the Friday at the age of 18 and started my first job on the Monday. I have worked every day since, either in Law or as a registered nurse. I had to claim sick benefit in June for seven weeks because my kidneys failed and I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition. So are you calling me a scrounger even though I’ve paid taxes all my life. I’m genuinely really poorly! I am now back to work but I’m still really ill and struggle every day in my busy hospital. I feel I shouldn’t be off sick claiming benefits because I feel I’m labelled as a scrounger!
You're ignoring that many people ended up disabled during lockdown because they didn't get the health treatment they needed. That's different to youngsters claiming mental health who've never had to work
To get benefits you have to sign on, i had aggr9phobia, cant go outside, but if i did not sign on benefit syopped. It cost about £20 to travel to the benefit office!

And they manage Turkey twice + a year, with a boob job thrown in... Me, I was on dla but lost it when it changed to pip - because I got myself to the medical, could I have appealed, probably, but one burst ulcer is enough in one's lifetime...
G'day everyone ❤love from Australia 🇦🇺
Big love ❤🇬🇧🇦🇺
Lovely to read English of the sort that we love & expect from an Aussie. I said ‘G’day’ to a couple ( Asian, if that’s of any consequence) from Sydney a fortnight back. The bloke just stared bs k at me ! His missus said “ We don’t talk like that anymore “ !…
Some of the nhs managers dont have to come into work, anymore because they work from home, this whole thing has to stop, not just nhs but civilservice, productivity will be down big style
I'm 65, Since leaving I've worked at the same job all that time. Maybe I've been lucky to enjoy my job. I could keep going when I hit 66 next year. But I won't because people don't want to work anymore. I remember someone telling me he would be better off on the dole, but he wanted to work for his pride. That was in 1977. So nothing has changed in nearly 50 years.
NUMBER 1....Low UK Wages = not enough to pay rent/food/bills etc. its pretty simple. Take on a min wage job, be treated horrendously then still struggle to make ends meet getting no where - become Sick with worry and stress. It all goes back to NUMBER 1
Or rather number 10, the buck stops there with our Crime Minister…
Unbelievable actions from this government cannot be justified by anyone with common sense. Everything they have done is insane! Can someone please prove me wrong on anything they have done?
I agree with you
The Easter Island statue in the British Museum is the only one above ground whose carving hasn't weathered away.
Unfortunately England withers away...
@@shivaunt71and the rest of the UK.
Excellent show and guests..
No ego's because alternative media and solutions being discussed to long term problems in the UK and world.
Words were said recently by one of you that I didn't agree with regarding the UKs involvement in certain situations, so I've liked the vid because of the rest of you
Keir's so embarrassed by Britain that he's enjoying the generations before him. The fruit of their labor.
🤬 No respect from a narcissist!
Julia! Let the others speak without interruption
She never does.
her and JK loves doing that, so annoying
bloody great show
4 MILLION ON SICKNESS BENIFIT ,

I thought it was Norman Wisdom turning on those lights.
No a cold narcissist 🕳️
Considering he’s long dead I think Norman wisdom would have been livelier and more popular
"Will the last person to leave please switch off the lights?"
@@howdan1985 Will the last person to leave please sell the Elgin Marbles to pay the power bill.
BENEFITS SHOULD BE STOPPED IF YOU DON’T TAKE A JOB..WHY SHOULD SOME OF US WORK HARD TO GET SOMEWHERE TO KEEP PEOPLE WHO DO NOTHING… ITS ALL WRONG BUT SO ARE GOVERNMENTS AND DO GOODERS 😡
25K viewers, 179 comments, You have received 18 Likes ? doesn't that say most how indifferent people are,Many are taking advantage of the total antisocial situation,How the hell could Starmer win? therefore the sofa was more comfortable and those who live on allowances do not care.
Not only does it sound like the intro to thunderbirds he looks like he is animated as much as one of their puppets.
It's the chip implanted in Two-Tier's head!
I am so sorry for your difficult situation, thankyou foe your nursing career,& God bless you❤❤,and your husband
@ thank you so much ❤️
Watching the Christmas countdown made me think of a new nickname for it!
Charismatic Kier!!
Fabulous show folks thanx.
Can't we give No Idea Kier away to some other country that might want him we could even pay them to take him.
Can someone PLEASE remind JHB that there are other people on the panel?
Julia "why use 10 words when 100 will do" Hartley Brewer.
She does tend to doninate
Loved the show!
I've had M.E. since 2005. There is nothing wrong with my intellect. Its very frustrating that I can't work. It disgusts me that people exploit a system designed to help people who genuinely need it.
“It worked… haha” sums up Starmer. His poor sausage wife. 🤷♂️
Please make clash of the titans 2 hours long! It's just so brilliant!
Great Video as alwalys.
Well done. Always entertaining, thank you.
What was ? I must of blinked
I thought the "crowd in Downing street looked lime they had been told not to move, and to cheer on dems d. It was a damp sqib lighting ceremony
How many people were unable to work due to illness post-WW2? There should be no reason that numbers/rates are above that now.
Great show,thank you 👍
Starmer and Klaus - love at first sight
If the country was run properly and society fixed. You would need a lot less prisons.
Keep the Elgin Marbles and tell any others wanting whatever back to stuff it.
Many on benefit hobble , Those on benefit should pay council tax as their income is a lot higher than our OAPs
No there's not a laziness crisis. There's a crisis with low wages for people who can't afford the transport cost to work. The high rents, council tax, food prices, transportation costs. Get a calculator in your hand and work out what a realistic minimum wage is!
Worklessness crisis? People don't want to work when their tax money goes abroad
I was never off work until I ha 3 large operations over the last 18 mounts. I've now got a load of issues now. Didn't think this could happen to me.
Government spending comes first, then taxation to pay off the debt the government has with The Bank Of England, think hard about that. We need to reform the BOE.
The Titans were the children of Uranus.....very apt
I'm economically inactive, because the government didn't want me to run my business and contribute £50k in Tax.
They preferred to up my taxes to 62% , and I wasn't going to do an 80 hrs week for only 38% of MY money
JHB you're brilliant!
What lol
Nice to see Frank Sidebottom back on the tube ✌️
Excellent
Technically, I'm economically inactive. I'm working 72 hrs this week for free as a nursing student. Not lazy 😅😂
Omg! Starmer is an android, he is so robotic! Watching him switching on the Christmas lights couldn’t be any more flat, Starmer has no emotional intelligence at all!
I love clash of the Titans here in the states. I like to keep up with what my British friends are doing.
Why work outr lives of for a goverment that would rather give money away and home people that come here?
The thing is, we will eventually hit a catch-22 situation, even if those that have been taking the p... by being lazy and getting benefits for doing nothing unfortunately will not be offered work by those companies who are being crippled by the last budget of having to pay more NI contributions 🤔
The same thing happened on Inside the Factory with Wallace and that show was cancelled.
Son or daughter?
Tell The Louvre to give back the Mona Lisa.
To who ? Leonardo worked much, much harder in France & for the French than he ever did for the Medici or Sforza families, etc.
Stop PIPs. Not taxable. Not means tested.
I wouldn’t give them back to Greece. I would hold onto them & then you can sell them to China or other wealthy country in the future to pay for the benefits bill or the NHS.
That's messed up.
No dentists are taking on NHS patients - unless your an immigrant..
As a long term sickness beneficiary, I wish I could work.
I get a lot of people game the system. Ironically anyone who can game the system has good skills and would be useful in the workforce.
As for unemployment benefit I’d have a limit on the number of years in a life…say 10.
Well done Julia Hartley Brewer love your personality 👏
I thought Starmer was going to say Thunderbirds are going.
British black coal will be banned from stockings as the mines have been shut. Ethical brown coal will have to be imported from Australia.
It's not a bandwagon Kevin it's showing support.
I don’t mind letting prisoners out of prison as long as it makes room for all of these corrupt politicians
Kevs got the figures today
8 minutes....nearly a quarter of the show devoted to the non-issue of Greg Wallace. There are way more important issues folks.
It was the Turks, not the Greeks, who used the Parthenon for gunpowder storage. Quite unfair towards the Greeks with that remark, Benedict Spence
Apparently longer term prison does help to rehabilitate
You're ignoring that many people ended up disabled during lockdown because they didn't get the health treatment they needed.
That's different to youngsters claiming mental health who've never had to work
Like Kevin said we used to be a hard working country but what’s the point when our money is given away so cheaply
Julia looks Great 😚
Im autistic which has caused anxiety . I work part time its a good balance for me
I’m 82 years and I’d Love to work
I was part of this suckness count. I started work at 14 worked until 63 every day sonewhere. I now have zrthritis so we are not all lazy.
I’ve just seen starmer on Startrek next generation 3/4 the way through season 4 episode 15 showing off his designer specs😂😂😂
To get benefits you have to sign on, i had aggr9phobia, cant go outside, but if i did not sign on benefit syopped. It cost about £20 to travel to the benefit office!
Who has the best top, JHB or Candice?
Nobody cares except for you lol
Can they get the second fuel allowance to mps and give to pensioners
Wistfully think8ng
