Biggest difference, the Somua is pretty damn good at ramming! It weighs around 60-70 tons? I love it. Have a 70% wr in it for over 100 battles, and I'm a 55% overall.
I have both and massively prefer the Somua, the Emil 1951 may be a better emil 1 but it just doesnt have the armor and its so reliant on using its gun depression the somua will *always* have an effective armor profile even on flat ground making it much more forgiving for new players
I don't know... I own the Emil 1951 first, and I've been playing around with the Somua for about a day now, but for some reason, I keep missing more shots on the Somua. The aiming circle also feels so large and slow to aim.
@@IanSumallo the Somua has a worse accuracy stat to balance it compared to the AMX 50 100, the accuracy is alot more manageable with refined gun and Aiming time equipment

The reason why the emil 1951 hits more is because of its dispersion on the move is way better compared to the two to the point that the emil 1951 can equip refined gun and still have a better dispersion on the move stat.
Droodles.. you should start to actually check Cali shells for all tanks when you show stuff in armor inspector. Let's be honest, not a lot of tanks especially heavies or tds use rammer / vents ... Just you know, to be more accurate. Other than that, Great vid as always : )
Everyone knows that all AL vehicles in their mother will runs Cali than vents due to it provide better pen for better burst. Most Reloading tanks use Rammer but also almost every single tanks that have HEAT as premium, will use Cali as so as HESH users.
My main reason on why you shouldn’t buy the soma is 1 its expensive 2 the armor isn’t that amazing and pramo is still gonna butter through ur tank and 3 the amx 50 100 is about to have the same/more in some areas turret armor then it and more mobile
well, you see somua sm has 263 mm of apcr pen while the tiger 2 has around 290 mm, wich makes that the somua will strugle to pen the tiger 2 while the tiger 2 can just cut through the somua like butter
Hint: if you see an every low health enemy tank, but you only see his track wheel, or for you too thick plate? Just fire an HE ROUND , that will kill him for sure
Somua player here, some funny facts about that tank: 1. You can shoot straight through the gun for crit+pen 2. You WILL get something crit'd if anything gets through armor 3. Whenever you are trying to hide weakspot on turret, you are exposing a new one 4. Low DPM and lower than average accuracy will cost you dearly 5. You can pen lowerplate simply by poking it with your own fingers
Why the frick emil2 is so fricking slow even tho its armor isnt that thick(i know effecttive armor is more but come on its weigh less than E50M and still go slower being he magnet on side and back)

I heard that the techtree AMX is getting a crazy buff when it comes to the turret...200mm more turret armor... still in devs server but who knows...we can expect anything from Wargaming...anyway I disagree with droodles, somua is a beast and such a pain to face when used correctly

I really love the emil 1. It's such a fun tank to play. Got that good mobility(Kranvagn yeah I struggle with that tank since I don't have the equipments and have not mastered the tank yet) But I sold it to buy the OBJ 704 since I'm grinding for the OBJ 268. Once I get the money I'll buy the emil 1 again. EMIL 1 and the ISU 152 are my favorite tier 8 tanks to play with. I'm also grinding for the RHM.
I don't know if the Blitz Somua and Emil 1951 are different from the PC version but nobody plays the Emil 1951 and this tank could be earned for free in a previous version of frontline mode. The Somua, on the other hand, is frequently rated as "very strong" and worth the purchase in tank reviews while the Emil is playable at best.
i have both tank's but for me Somua is much more fun and interesting than Emil 1951. i also have t54e2 and Action X and all of them a great but this french beast is special for me. p. s. put right equipment and provisions on Somua, it really makes a big difference on this tank. p. p. s. forget to say that 5 year's ago when i start to playing this game my first 8 tier tank was amx 50-100, and then first X tier was also amx 50-120, so maybe that's why i like it so much.
I was bout to say I bought it when it came out bc you said I was good and I haven't played it yet bc I have like 100 x5 boosters and am using them for my last 2 tier 10s I need I have like 10 new prems I haven't played yet like the shark a few tier 10s I got out of the low tier crates
well 267 mm of hull down armour... Lowe with prem ammo will cut through it like butter in long distance lol...but lowe pen is a different level and that gun is tier IX gun too XD

@@arno222444 i was lucky enough to purchase the emil 1951 recently qhen it came out for sale again. I wqs quite disaapointed on the armor. The turret armor doesnt seem to do the job unless conpletely hulled down and using all 10degrees on gun depression. Any other scenerio and othet tier 8s are able to penn right in the face

This tank is between the Emil 1 and the Amx 50-100. But I will play it more like a (slower and better armored) amx50-100 than a strong and slow first line Emil 1.
the souma tricked me with its camo , its red/yellowish on the side , so i was like why i cant pen him ? and then i didnt shoot... XD (i was up on the hill , and the souma was halfway on the hill so just a small part was seeable , and that was the side at an anlge of 40 degree if im right )

I mean you can get this tank for 20 bucks right now. I already have the emil 1951 so I prob won't get it, but I got a gold for kills bundle that would allow me to get this for 20 bucks witch is pretty cheap, so idk I may get it haha

Yes. Undoubtedly. Also, fun fact, maus upper plate can be penned with gold by ho ri, object 268 (I think) and also jg pz e 100 (I think)

This tank always compare with emil 1951. BUT! Two tanks is quite different.

there's no point running vents in an autoloader or auto-reloader tank at all, no matter what the dpm is
