  • This a blast from my childhood past. I have a pretty good impression of the anime when I was a kid. It was the typical getter bots transformation styles, but I always thought the storyline was kind of kiddy compared to the other getter Robo variants.
This figure released by Bandai is very line art accurate to the anime. The transformations are simple and each robot mode is exactly how its looks in the anime series.
The amount of diecast and articulation is very well balanced and the transformation is pretty simple and each robot mode is pretty convincing.
A definite addition to your Getter collection

Yeah the anime adaptation of getter go is much less intense than the getter go manga, which is pretty messed up. Check it out sometime

The Soul of Chogokin series are the gold standard of how Japanese robot toys should be. Well most of the time anyway….lol

@@blvk3 thanks for the feedback I will go and check the instructions again…one of the downfalls of NOT reading the instruction manual thoroughly

Very impressive chogokin. It does make me wonder about the fragility of the joints considering its transformation gimmick. I personally prefer the design as showcased in the Getter Robo Go manga, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate this retro good-looking fella. Nice review!

There is some diecast content in each of the bots…mostly in the thighs and feet….but yes it’s largely plastic. If it was fully diecast the figure will likely not be able to stand on it own
