I hear people complain sometimes about the Reptile fight asking why Johnny didn’t help. To them I ask a simple question: Who do you think was playing that sick beat during the fight?
Actually they set the final battle up to have 3 separate parts or rounds. 1. The opening until Liu got the punch to the jaw on the lower level where he got the win 2. After Shang says "Your Mine" and he slammed Liu's face into the ground where he got the win 3. The 3rd round starts where Liu states he is the chosen one. If you watch he never takes a hit in that round so it was a flawless victory.
I’ve probably watched/ listened to this reaction 50 or so times. I love this film and it’s awesome to share the experience with awesome dudes like you guys. Thanks for everything you do

When he turned into the Ninja and it said Reptile, everyone stood up and yelled. Then Liu Kang did the Bicyle Kick and everyone went nuts!!! The Music was so Good! Ah, Those were the Days!!!
In the original Mortal Kombat game Johnny Cage was modeled after Jean Claude Van Damme from Bloodsport. Raiden was based off of the lightning character in Big Trouble in Little China. So was Shang Tsung whos based on the villain Lo Pan from Big Trouble in Little China. And Liu Kang was modeled after Bruce Lee. So that's why Johnny Cage's move is the split and punch to the balls. Van damme did that move in Bloodsport.

And I just found out that Linden does the vocal performance for Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat XI. Great to see both he and Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa reprised their roles as Johnny Cage and Shang Tsung, respectively. AYE!!!
Liden Ashby really killed it as Johnny Cage, and the intro never failed to hype us up!
Christopher Lambert so under-rated as an actor. He brought so much to this movie!
The Mortal Kombat theme should've been the number one hit song played at nightclubs in the 90s.
Paul WS Anderson has some really good stuff if you dig into his early work, MK being one I always had a soft spot for. Event Horizon is still one of my favorite movies, the absolute best sci-fi space horror ever made. Soldier with Kurt Russel is also pretty enjoyable.
