Man this sucks and i have been hit 2x in 43 years in Baltimore City. First time 32 years ago 9k in tools and 2nd time a little over 4k in tools. I have a 10' box truck GMC with a roll up rear door with a great locking system and alarm. I stay out the WEST SIDE of Baltimore City which is like the Wild Wild West and even the police do not feel safe there. Glad you did not loose any tools which really hurts. Keep up the Great Work and content my man. 🍻 Cheers
I HATE open service trucks. Years ago, when I first got started, I was on a call working on a beer cooler, and when I came out, someone had stolen everything. Now I use VANS. It's not as easy to steal out of. Trucks with all of your equipment and inventory on the back are an open invitation. Also if it's raining I don't have to stand out in the rain looking for parts.
Once I had a p/u truck parked at the post office and 3 minutes to get my mail; came out and my tool belt with tools was gone and a drum of refrierant as well. For the rest of my years in HVAC I drove vans!
I can definitely say this p/u truck is a different feel. I mean it felt weird being in the Colorado but this is bigger than that and although I have more space for my tools, I feel everything is exposed
Those Reading style utility body latches are so easy to pop open with a roofing pry bar or large screwdriver. I added extra locks on my utility body after getting robbed. Be Careful add extra locks.
Thats a dumb response. Stealing someone tools hurts. Thats your livelihood. You don't take a persons tools. Its like stealing food out of someones hand. Lowest of the low. And it hurts 100% it hurts.
@@bobshanery5152 take it easy. What I mean is no person was physically harmed or worse. No life was threatened. It was just property which can be replaced. Is it important? Of course. But it is replaceable. Life is not. Peace.
That suck man! However, if that's all they took, you got off easy. Those Milwaukee tools are expensive!!! Any way for you to get a lockable topper for that truck bed that secures your equipment while you're away from the truck on calls on the "south side"?
It's becoming a real pain in the rear end honestly. I had heard such good reviews on these but it seems like unless you're riding a bike or hooking one of these up to a car for rolling shots, this thing is just gonna overheat
Got robbed!?!?! My sub did too. We were starting a home and he pulls in to the house. We BSing as usual and he opens the side door of his van, reaches in and hesitates. I see this and ask him what’s up and he’s just kinda staring blankly and looking around. Looks back at me and says he’s been robbed. I don’t believe him, look in the van and he is cleaned out. He had stopped at Home Depot on the way to the job, maybe 5 minutes in the store to buy a tool he needed. The thieves even put back the plastic piece that covered the key lock. 😂😂😂he had no idea. South Florida. They quick there. Nice vid. Sorry to hear about the losses.
Oh no!!! Thank God they didn't take anything more expensive. If you can lock your equipment, please do. It's a pain, but better to be safe than sorry. Should still file a report even for minor items so the po po is aware of what's going on. What of asshole rips off an HVAC truck?? Just glad you didn't get hurt. Cool walk through!
That pack out would be gone on ur first call In Detroit😂, if you leave anything easily accessible and unattended, highly likely it will end up missing. Fortunately I never got got. trust no one. *knocks on wood Bed cover on the truck. Put chains through ur jug handles. Almost every time i see open jugs they are chained up.
Getting robbed sucks bigtime. Been there, done that. As for the truck, you ever think about washing it? You look at the outside of Anti-DIY's truck and its beautiful. Just saying that what people see helps form their opinion.

Glad you're safe man. Stuff can be replaced! Glad it wasn't any tools though!
Man who you tellin!

Ya know, that rain part is so true. I'm gonna hate the first time I gotta go through that

AB HVAC , nice content keep up the good content
That’s one of my worst fears, feeling so vulnerable. Luckily your tools are safe.
Oh they robbed me while I was inside on the service call
Been there, worst feeling. Good thing that's all they took. I had my whole van stolen once 😅

Nobody got hurt. You're lucky. Be grateful.

i feel you with the gopro overheating, i cant run mine longer than 10 min if the ambient is over 85F, even at 1080p 60fps

Most robbers don't want to work;; that's why they didn't take your tools!
I hate thieves. It unfortunately happens though. When I lived in California....had my van broken into 3 times. Luckily your tools were safe.
I'm super grateful everything is there
go grab a ratcheting cargo bar at harbor freight. will keep things in place in the back of the truck.
Get one of those sliding covers that lock. ACR stuff is too damn expensive to lose.

Man that's crazy. My thieves just wanted the refrigerant 🤣
I'm subscribed, let's see great content 👍👍😎
Thanks man!
That same thing happened to me before. My boss was pissed but what could I have done. I had an open bed truck too.

Amazon is where I got a holder for my nitrogen tank it’s works good only $10
Why not honeywell thermostat?
I hate the delay times on some of those but my boss grew up putting in Pro Thermostats and he's stuck with them

BOY WHO YOU TELLIN?! I love Highland Park area but I wouldn't be over there with this style truck 🤣
@@AB_HVAC shiiii.. they might just take the whole truck 😂
@MoonRambo702 I'd be left seeing the truck sitting on bricks 🤣
Were you in Clayton county bro?
Nah man. Richmond County, Augusta GA
How do you not have a van with a cage that can be locked up?
Because not every company has vans
I Got robbed as well
a year ago stole a camera and got beat up 3vs 1

What is your favorite brand of HVAC equipment?
Honest to god it depends on the style system. I like Rheem Package Units, but I like ICP Split Systems
Get a van brother. I hate hearing stuff like this.
