This is excellent! I think I'm gonna build one, a little bit bigger though to accept bigger containers. One question, what type of solenoid did you use? Not really familiar with them, I just wonder if there's different versions for different viscosities?
Apparently, it works, but how? I'm guessing that the epoxy is somehow balanced on the load cell and that the barely mentioned solenoids dispense it; however, it would have greatly enhanced the otherwise good video had you provided a little more information.
Thanks for the feedback. We’ll try to make sure we include more info next time. Regarding the operation, you pretty much have it. Pulling the first tap handle captures a weight measurement from the load cell and then opens the solenoid valve allowing epoxy to flow from the bottle, releasing it closes the valve. Another weight measurement is then captured and the difference between the first and second weight measurements is calculated to determine how much epoxy was dispensed. Then, pulling the second tap handle dispenses the correct amount of hardener automatically based on the amount of epoxy dispensed and the known ratio for the epoxy system used.
Amazing work Umit and the Narwhal Team!! This build is so cool! 😎
Thanks. Glad you liked it.
Hell yea, this is an awesome build!
Thx Phil!
Awesome project Umit! Hope to see more of your innovation in the future!

Very cool!
Thx!

great job it s possible to use the loadcell on the drip pane not under the weight of epoxy as in the long run is not good to keep weigh on it ?
