The laws are not strong enough and too many temporary stays are allowed. Genuine immigrants are penalised to compensate for all the illegal ones.
It’s a shame that the agents are hamstringed by the law by having to release the illegal people, they have no reason to report weekly, it’s a dead certainty that they will abscond !
I don't know why, if there are photocopies of the immigrant's passport, that isn't sufficient to get a replacement.
@@purplpen Because their consulate generals really sucks. They can take years to give them a replacement.
Noone would ever win an argument with this guy lol. His poor spouse

you actually think a chef can't find work in Australia and needs to fly to UK on a round trip ticket for work?
Alexander do you might be giving the chef a little too much credit. I live in the same neighborhood as some wonderful world-educated renowned chef. His food sucks so badly!
She might be s lunatic on the job! My question is why isn't she getting hired and remaining in a steady job. Why is she bouncing around wanting work at parties and stuff? It doesn't seem like a good career choice for her! By the way I love her crying with absolutely NO tears!! Lol!
The fact that the woman said that her family threw her the ''biggest party to leave'' proves that she wasn't planning to go back. Who has a leaving party when they go on holiday?
people with a life
The officers must get so frustrated when these people get ‘temporary releases’ knowing they’re just going to vanish. What an absolute crock ! Australia’s dealing with the issue of ‘anchor babies’ . Illegal immigrants who have children whilst here to try to prevent deportation
Ppl have been doing that in the US for years. They come have kids, some get jobs, others get welfare & when they havextra money they ship it back to take care of thier families. Its a very broken world we live in:(
Here in America we are going through the same crap, that's why we thank god for our great President Trump that is putting a stop to all this nonsense.

40:00 “ you don’t have to take your knives with you” this man clearly never worked in a professional kitchen and doesn’t understand the care and preference chefs have with their knives, it’s like their babies.
understandable but in her case, she has every intention to find an employment
Check when I visit my son (500 miles). I take mine with me. I know I'll be doing the cooking
Besides, most chefs I have known over the years have a full and complete set of any knives they might possibly need, because most of them have run into situations where they needed a specific knife to make a specific dish and theirs was the only one in that kitchen
Not on vacation
Really do chefs also carry their CV's with them just in case they need in the KITCHEN🤣🤣🤣🤣
- it's not my policy I only apply it correctly, he has to go in 2 hours
5 seconds later
- the person has been released and is still in the UK
They need to arrest and jail those that cannot prove they are in the country legally, not let them go and ask them to report them selves in later. Because they rarely do.
Never show up in the USA but that is the point. They just have to promise to vote democrat and to work for half wages for democrat donors
Mr Singh probably misheard/misunderstood the word COURSE..He probably heard the word COST instead
D Cheema it depends on what accent you learned English with...
PUTAcVERNICE REYES thats why he asked the same question in a another way
D Cheema I’m sorry but I didn’t say that his pronunciation was incorrect..it was the interviewee that didn’t hear/understand him properly..I’m like you, I also am British
I felt sorry for him
thats unfair , here is a young fellow who wants to make it big seems genuine ... just because he could not understand take his accent he has to be barred out, this so situational and unfair
Must be a cruel joke where a person who cannot pronounce 'course' properly is placed as an immigration officer. Poor guy is explaining structure of the "cost" of study.
He pronounces “course” like about 30 million other Brits do. The kid just can’t understand English well enough to get where the interviewer was going with his question.
Wtf is your point? Accents make people stupid?
He says ”the structure of the…”. The word ”cost” makes no sense in that context. Also he clarify the question. And he is not hard to understand for someone that is not native to an English speaking country.
His pronunciation of the word course sounded very much like cost. I only realize he meant course when he was speaking to the cameraman.
Such ridiculous laws in the UK. You find an overstayer, release them on a promise to appear and then are shocked when they fail to appear. Tsk.
That smirk after he tells the first guy to “watch his bag” is savage 😂
By right it did sound like he said “COST” instead or “COURSE”

@@angelikussupericus What's the point of studying in another country when you can't speak the language? You wouldn't understand most of the course anyway...

They learn that form media etc and when they get arrested “ I can’t breathe “ 😂
Mr Singh is 19 and intending to go to England and study in English. He can't even construct a proper sentence in English or answer the interviewer's questions in English. This is beyond terrible.

That’s what those clowns do
Officer Hassler certainly lives up to him name.
They need to understand that when a chef cooks, he/she prefers his/her own knives. Most people don't even have or use the correct knives for different food.
C'mon, shes obviously going to work in the UK. She is getting very defensive, typical aussie bullshit when things aren't going their way.
Explain the CVs then
Why would she bring a cv and a cover letter then
@@alexoh4699 HAHAHA
the immigration people are very ignorant. That woman should have been allowed in all that officer had on her was his own ignorant speculation. Don't tell me a chef can't find work in Australia and needs to go to UK to find a job. Maybe if there was evidence that somebody offered her a current job like text message but this guy had nothing.
This officer is really good. Outstanding job.
If I’m a chef, i will bring my knives everywhere too.
Honestly, so would I. That part I would not find odd. But the fact that she had he CV's and stuff like that, did seem to indicate her intent was to seek work in the UK.
in UK they have a lot of stabbings so if you carry a knife you better have a good reason otherwise it is a felony there. They are a little strange those Brits. One time i was there i set off the metal detector or it was random and i did not want to go through the cancer causing Terahertz body scanner as there have been studies that it unravels DNA and could lead to mutations. They did not like that and thought I would be offended by a pat down. At LAX everyone is used to being groped by TSA so I was unphased and they could not understand that and were trying to convince me that their body scanners were harmless. Anyway after the patdown I find out the British officer revealed that he developed cancer while on the job and has been through Chemo and supposedly in remission. I guess he was so focused on the official narrative that he could not put 2 and 2 together about his working the body machines and his cancer. Strange lot those Brits.
@@AlexanderVassermanDDSPC Are you talking about the thing you walk into one at a time and you hold out your arms and it does a quick scan? i always just did it...I didnt know it was optional...but now you got me bugged out.
I'm a civil engineer and I carry a jack-hammer with me wherever I travel.
Its not her knives that are main problem here. The problem were her CVs she brought with her on a holiday for which she basically had no excuse.
I’m a retired chef ,, I take my knives with me ... everywhere! It’s like a security blanket ... she’s proud of her knives,,
I know alot of chef's and they are really anal about having their knives.....BUT.....the fact that she had c.v's etc doesn't help her story though
Not when all the money you have is spent on a ticket to travel to London just to cook for your uncle!! and you have 24 cv's in your bag
eggxactly, they're tools of the trade -- them two, the knives in their kitchens obviously are dull, -- I hope she applied for redress, and wrongful denial of entry.
@@chefmarc8404 I was writing the same
Do you also walk around with your cvs? She's not very smart. She's lying - talking to fast, nervous, acting desperate, limited funds. All she had to do was send her cv's to herself in an email, access it in the UK, print off the resume. She's stupid and of course she is looking for work.
You dont study a subject , get an A and then cannot explain what you got an A in ... dodgy AF
Brits are so polite and tolerant it's no wonder these bums try and game the system.
@Suspicious Ned why Islam? What about Indians or Hindus? Islamphobic? Are you scared for us? What, I'm not a fucking bomb..
There's no reason for a non-citizen to be separated from their passport. For any reason. When i visit another country, that sucker is with me at all times. That IS my identity document.
Officer Steve Hassler (sic) is pretty awesome, imo. He gets to the point, pretty damn quick, most times. Call it a bit harsh or whatever, but that’s what a previous career in the UK Royal Air Force tends to do to people. Go Officer Hasslerr!!!!!
Yeah, cut through the BS.
I was thinking the same thing, but they still allowed him into the country and 12 years later I bet you a pint the man is still in the UK working and getting any benefits he can.
Officer Hassler is a first-class jackass.
Liars..should be kicked straight out of the UK
You can't fault a chef carrying her tools. You cant even jest that a professional would use sub standard equipment.
It's like a IT guy or software development bringing their laptop... You do not go to your friend's place to make them a web page on their computer... of course you will use your. So analogy side, well I do get her. But having CVs and cover letters is more of a sign that she had planned to work. Just keep them online, print them out when you have landed. But taking into account that most of it is filmed about 15-20 years ago, then internet access was more limited.
@@krisavi she said she always keep them with her laptop. They don't show the laptop in the footage, but if she has that there's no reason to have the papers in print. Even in the early 2000s applying for jobs on paper was rapidly going out of fashion, and many places wouldn't even accept a CV on paper
There a thousands of people with worst English skills than this Mr Singh that manage to study in the UK.
I know, i think he did ok, i guess it wasn't good enough.
Parrot Brand I do agree with you..even some British themselves don’t speak good English
And the Aussie woman chef, a native speaker of English, clearly eager to work very hard is denied entry, which is nonsensically cruel. UK must apply more linient rule to the people from the Commonwealth.
@@mmmoroi bollocks
If you wanna work somewhere you gotta be legal.

So wait a minute, you have to completely legitimate people wanting entry into the UK, one for study and the other for a holiday, they get refused, one of them because he doesn't speak enough English, even though the majority of eastern European people here don't speak a word yet the two Nigerian men here illegally are let go. 2:05 - “he doesn’t even look like a student” wtf what does a student look like?
Young?
I arrived in the US when I was 16 (30+ yrs ago) and even after taking 5 yrs of the English language, it took me 2 hours to read a chapter from the assigned high school reading. He could not possible have survived in an English classroom in a college, any. We have empathy for the poor guy, especially after spending so much money for all his paperwork, but at the end of the day, there's no way he could just rely on his math skills to get through the instruction. He should have been a lot more fluent in English - it's not about misunderstanding words, but about not understanding the conversation and what is being asked of him.
Not really i got a pen pal from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 that went to russia to study Computer science due to his dismay they weren’t offering it in English medium so he had to take foundation year in Russian in order to enroll and his math skills actually paved the way for him to acquire his bachelors degree.
@@peak6829 I wrote the comment 2yrs ago. Good that the math skills helped!
I speak English fluently and am from an English speaking country, yet I found it difficult to understand the officer. I thought he kept saying cost. It was only at the end when he was speaking to the camera man, that I realized he meant the course or classes the gentleman wanted to take.
i wouldn't know what he meant pronouncing coarse as koss either.

You don't bring your CVs and certificats for no reason. Also you don't book a trip to the other side of the Earth if you're unemployed and have limited funds. That Australian woman was definetely coming to the UK to work.
I understand the Chef and her knives. I’m a Cosmetologist and if someone told me that I can use random scissors to cut hair, I’d say no. Our shears are made to perfection just like her knives. We are professionals and if we want to treat our loved ones with our gifts, you bet we are going to use our own tools that were made for us and what we prefer to use.
For instance, when I graduated I was given 3 new shears(each had something different about them). Three or four months later I dropped one of them and had to take them in to be realigned and fixed. Unless you are in a certain profession, you don’t really know what is done and preferred.

Every immigrant fears going back home. Are our African countries REALLY such dangerous places for its citizens?? Ridiculousness.
Nigeria is, yes. South Africa, yes. Zimbabwe yes. Colonialism left them a mess to clean up that they obviously haven't done a good job at.
Officer Hassler was a beast. What a awesome last name for his job
i know we all have a tough time understanding course/cost, but it does seem like mr. singh just rehearsed a bunch of lines and thats the limit of what he knows in english. could be wrong, but the interviewer absolutely shouldve stopped using that stupid word... he clearly didnt understand him. he couldve easily just said classes instead of course.
probably travelling on his own first time with english still a new language for him. It explains his behaviour. The other guy had a heavy accent as I also heard Cost not course. He could have asked the question differently. And who would know the structure of a certain degree before actually taking the classes. It is a very broad question.
At 34:56 the customs guy says to the Nigerian ...'wanting to claim asylum' and the ccs translated it to 'entertainment island', which I thought was pretty funny
When you can't understand English so you memorize all the questions.
Nigerians knows how to make fool to these emigration officers
