Im sure Im going to have a new one torn for me for saying this, but he cannot sing to save his life. Absolute legend with the fingerstyle though, love this song. 5 stars
oh i am a ba' bag now for telling one poster he was playing his g'tar out of tune. Well how dare that person try ape the legendery jansch with a typical cheep toy. so anyone with good archives and keen then i love. ps been using guitar pro to tab stuff and anyone interested or if u not even familiar with guitarpro message me for i nfo
I've watched this video many times as I have the DVD of this festival. Although I myself enjoy seeing it, I think it can be said this recording doesn't do much justice for Burt or the guitar to someone not familiar with either. You are right about the guitar also, top of the line L series which go for about $5K-$6K. Very fine instrument.. Burt, of course, was priceless.
Bert has been there as musical influence for me (& many others !) for at least a couple of decades now :) Love this song.
SINCE 1968
omg , thank you so much for posting this...I love his voice
The song was on the Crimson Moon album, released 26 June 2000. Babylon was on the White Ladder album, released 1999
thanks for the new jansch, good work
We Love You Bert.
bert jansch is my hero.
I wish I could've seen him perform before he passed ..I guess I can through videos ..that's life hah

I believe "Angie" originated with Davey Graham. Bert recorded it as did John Renbourn, Paul Simon, and others.
Excellent recent performance.
Does anyone know where there's a tab for this? I love this song! RIP Bert
You Rock!

@MITCHWILD PROBABLY Britains finest? As far as an acoustic guitarist, he is definetly the best the UK period has ever produced if you ask me.
I need to see this guy live before I/he dies
@Nangus01 davy graham?
Does anybody knows where can i find the tab for this song?
the Bert Jansch songbook "Bert Transcribed"
@Galgamax2 I agree, but his guitar playing more than makes up for it.
I think his poor health had something to do with his voice sounding the way it did.
Lynne Turner sits not that bad
i just wish it wasnt so rushed....
rafaelmadferit: Nowhere. Use your ears.
