I would definitely love a tutorial on that blanket chest! The room looks great, in fact inviting . . . in fact, I feel like I'd like to crawl into that comfy looking bed right about now!
Hello DEAR FRIEND! THANK YOU!💖 FOR SUCH A SWEET COMMENT! ALSO, I received your VERY Lovely and timely package! It Was So thoughtful and KIND of You to Think of Me! It means So MUCH!🥹💖Do you mind if I show the unbox on the channel? LET me Know ☺️ If no I understand! EITHER way THANK YOU FROM MY ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!
Also, I have to tell you my early years we almost entirely trash to treasure literally making miniatures from scraps and remnants so I literally feel most natural doing those types of projects!😀☺️😅
Right? I especially love the combinations of fabrics/paper patterns. You have an amazing eye, the mismatch look isn't always easy to pull off but you make it look effortless & natural. I LOVE the fabrics you chose on the bed. The striped fabric really makes the florals pop while staying true to the sense of the place.
I’ve bought every calendar the dollar stores had! Usually the back has every months pictures…I use those for pics in my doll house, making different frames! I also use the full pic for a wall mural! I buy men’s ties at the thrift store, that have small patterns, for 1/12th scale houses & make curtains! I have probably 50ties, taken apart, just need to cut for windows, iron, glue, hem, etc! I will one day have a curtain for any decor you could ever imagine!! 😉👍
Ties are a great source of fabric, there's a lot more fabric than you'd think there would be in a tie, , I got some old silk ones for next to nothing from a second hand shop, it's a good place to look as they usually have lots of them in all sorts of colours and fabrics and they're cheap too 😊
WHAT AN EXCELLENT RESOURCE!!!!😀 I HAVE NEVER THOUGHT OF CALENDARS! THAT IS A GREAT HACK!!!😀 I've used magazines, real photos, paper patterns and even stamps! But I never thought of CALENDARS! That's BRILLIANT 😀!!!!❤️Thank you for sharing and watching!

@@littlegretchensworkshop7665😂 I feel you! Growing up, my parents could never get over my love of little tiny floral prints! My mother hired interior decorators and loved pastels, but I loved patchwork, and all manner of crazy and eccentric patterns! 😆
It really does look so cozy! The little touches bring so much life and warmth to the room. 🥰 The shelf and mirror are very practical for Marva and Sterling, and give the opportunity for a little more light and bling in the room. Is anything more adorable than tiny perfume bottles? 😊 Marva and Sterling are going to really enjoy their stay!

I love your channel, Miss Gretchen. I love your creativity and imagination, and the fact that you make so much of your art yourself, not depending on 3d printers and laser cutters. It’s wonderful. Thank you so much for inspiring me with my own minis.
Agreed!! It's so hard to find good miniature videos where the maker is using a 3D printer or Cricut or any number of expensive gadgets! They're wonderful tools but to a certain extent you may as well be buying premade miniatures, it feels like cheating. Maybe that's just me. But Gretchen's videos are always authentic feeling & offer so much advice & creativity & heart. I'm always super stoked when a Gretchen video pops up in my feed :)
Thank you so much! I really appreciate this kind of feedback! I always think about the fact that there have been "Miniaturists" around since the beginning of time creating by hand, without machinery. I even consider people in other parts of the world now, creating amazing miniatures with really raw materials and limited resources! That always amazes me because I believe being a miniaturist comes from your Heart not your tools! I guess I NEVER want to get to a place where I am dependent on a machine to create. I guess I'm kinda of old fashioned. Thank you again for letting me know you appreciate my style of creating miniatures. Thank you for being here your presence means so much!
WOW! This comment really touches me on another level! I'm so glad to hear you are enjoying my content and my style of creating! I mentioned in another comment that miniaturists have always existed and they were able to create amazing things! Although the new technology allows for alot of different type of creativity, but i never want to become dependent on that. Like how we used to have to remember everyone phone numbers but now NO ONE knows phone numbers by memory any more because of cell phones. LOLOLOL!!! I believe there is a different Beauty in handmade OOAK miniatures, they are a little bit more precious and rare. I truly appreciate this comment,it you have been following me any amount of time you already know i'm typing this with "watery eyes"....Thank you again i needed this feedback.

This is so so gorgeous & well done! I love the details, putting a plant (or something) on top of the tall dresser was a wonderful idea - maybe one of the bags might go underneath? Perhaps with a little bit of clothing sneaking out of the top? I love how lived in this room is starting to look, it really feels like a real place. Your videos are always such a joy. Aroha nui, from Aotearoa (NZ) xx
Thank you so much! I'm having so much Fun! I do have other items to put in the room. I Love Your suggestions, I have a hat box and I want to make some shoes to go under and some socks or stockings hanging from the drawers..... trying to fit those videos in🤣, I have more videos in my mind than days left in the Year 🤭😅🤣! Thank you for watching ❤️
I saw a woman make a bedspread as if making a pillow case She then put a sheet of aluminum foil inside and closed it up. She was then able to shape it anyway she wanted and it kept it's place. Looked great!
HI Mary! Yes I tried that method a few videos back. The Aluminum foil did not give me the draped feeling I was trying to achieve. "Glue and water solution" are my go to for bedding and curtains, but i do plan to try the spray starch method soon. Thank you for you suggestion and I appreciate your feedback!
It came out lovely. I’m laughing because I can’t help myself I’m a match color kind of girl. I have to say it really looks nice and realistic.💕💕💕I love the green bag on the chest . It looks so cute I love the little shelf and the hook on the door. It’s all in the details.💕💕💕💕
Thank you Grace! 😊LOLOL!! There is nothing wrong with matching colors! We are just all different and that's what makes this so wonderful! Beauty and Creativity can be expressed lots of different ways! Growing up my mom insisted if it didn't MATCH that it was "wrong, ugly or tacky"....but that's not what I saw....I saw the harmony in the colors, patterns , prints and textures. I saw their similarities more than their differences. So I'm sure your MATCHED FABRICS Are BEAUTIFUL GRACE! Thank you for being here!
I use spray starch instead of glue and water.. it's washable so you can reuse the fabric... But fabric gets pretty stiff... Works great for curtains...
Hey LISA! I literally was just thinking about a fabric project on my list that I want to try the starch method on. Although I have no intention or undoing or washing these items I want to see the difference in results and ease of use! Thank you for the reminder ❤️😊❤️
That bkanket chest you could put a cushion on top and it could become a seat. If you needed more space and to get the chair out. Loojs very cozy For some reason while watching this, I suddenly wondered what would happen if you did Feng Shui on it. Theres a guy here who shows it on his channel all the time and i wondered what he'd di with a miniature example. .and if after he rearranged stuff, would it be more pleasing to the eye He should get a room box to use for demonstration
Yes and yes! This Bed is very old! I stuck it because I thought the bed looked plain back then! And then I could not remove it! Lol! i really think it is Cute now! Thank you for confirmation and for watching!!
I’m caught by that pendent on the headboard. I have a bunch of buttons I need to did through to see if it looks good on project too. I hope I can ask you but once I really start working on the inside of my house is it better to concentrate room by room
I used to work all over but you just end up with a lot of unfinished rooms and projects and quite a bit of frustration like, you don't see progress as much. When you go room by room, to me it's satisfying to see a completed room even if the rest of the house is raw. It also gives the Dolls somewhere SAFE to be while you are working!😊❤️❤️❤️❤️
Also glad you liked the pendant in the headboard 😀 I did that YEARS AGO!🤭Not sure what glue I used but I couldn't remove it! So now it is a permanent part of the design 😄😍
LOL! Your comments about the Rub N Buff got me laughing out loud. When I was a kid, back in the late 60s or maybe it was early 70s, my Mom and I discovered Rub-N-Buff… I don’t need to explain! 😆😆😆!!! EVERYTHING got gilded! We just could N O T stop! 🫣🤗😆. To this very day if I get started I can’t stop… I always notice “I still have some on my finger” and off I go….
HI RAVEN!!!! LOLOLOL!!! So you understand! Like what is it!!? If there is a dab left i just have a compulsion to touch something else!! I have a strong tendency to like shiny things anyway so that does not help!!! LOLOLOLL!!! Thank you for letting me know that you understand what i mean!!! LOLOLOLOL! i appreciate you for being here and for watching!!!

I am a complete sucker for a beautifully dressed and inviting bed in mini or real life. I LOVE this stripe floral. I tried to book a stay at the rooming house on air b&b but couldn't find availability. 😕 I love the details like the mirror and even the hook on the door. The pictures are perfect! ❤
LoL 😆😂 YES I KNOW! I GET INQUIRIES FOR BOOKING ALL THE TIME! THERE IS A WAITING LIST🤭❤️ I LOVE A COZY BEDROOM TOO! I HAVE A FEW MORE THINGS TO ADD BEFORE I CAN LEAVE THIS ROOM ALONE!!!!😆😂THANK YOU FOR WATCHING ❤️
I just love your videos! You make me want to visit you one of these days so we can play lol
YES ELIZABETH!!!! That WOULD BE SO MUCH FUN , WOULDN'T IT!!!?😀 I used to a have 1 friend that understood my love for Dolls and Dollhouses and she would visit sometimes and to play.❤️😀❤️THAT WOULD BE GREAT!
Yes! I would LOVE just a great big dollhouse party where we could all craft and play! 🥰 Michigan is a long way away, though. 😕
It is so beautiful! I really do feel as if I were in a rooming house. Great job.❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊I'm really Glad you like!
You are so welcome
Simple and beautiful ❤️ 14:10
Thanks Barb!!!!
I saw a woman make a bedspread as if making a pillow case
She then put a sheet of aluminum foil inside and closed it up. She was then able to shape it anyway she wanted and it kept it's place. Looked great!
Sounds familiar 😁😁💜💜💜
LOLOLOL!!!
Love it just gorgeous ❤😊
😃💖 THANKS SUZANNE!!!!
Thank you for being here!
how very cozy Darling room
Thank you Christine! i appreciate you for watching!
Love it..!! ❤
Thank you so much I appreciate you for allowing me to share 😊💖!!!
I love your patterned green bag. Did you make that one. ❤
Yes Donna I did! 😊That was one of my 1st creations of the BAGS BOXES and LUGGAGE series, Fun very easy project!
I call my dollhouse “The Never ending Dollhouse”
That's right! It's NEVER Finished!!!
That bkanket chest you could put a cushion on top and it could become a seat. If you needed more space and to get the chair out.
Loojs very cozy
For some reason while watching this, I suddenly wondered what would happen if you did Feng Shui on it.
Theres a guy here who shows it on his channel all the time and i wondered what he'd di with a miniature example.
.and if after he rearranged stuff, would it be more pleasing to the eye
He should get a room box to use for demonstration
Thank you for the suggestion!
It looks lovely! Did you add the "gem" to the head of the bed? If so, is it a piece of old broken jewelry? I really like the effect!
Yes and yes! This Bed is very old! I stuck it because I thought the bed looked plain back then! And then I could not remove it! Lol! i really think it is Cute now! Thank you for confirmation and for watching!!
I love the way everything turned out! I want to know more about the light that really turns on:). Where do I find one?
Hi LAURA! My Dollhouses do have electricity, so I buy LED Battery dollhouse lights. I will put link in description. Thank you for reminding me 😊❤️
Correction: My Dollhouses "DON'T" have electricity😄😍
I just added links in the description for some LED BATTERY LIGHTS.
