I met and spoke to an owner of one of the first 100 to get this bike and I can say that camera audio does not do this engine any justice. The actual sound of it is so good. Really light bike and i'm about 164cm in height? It has a much more approachable seat height than my MT07. Very beginner friendly and very smooth engine. Honestly, Yamaha needs to keep up with the rest of their competitors and update their technology and let it trickle down to their mid range bikes. Kawasaki, Honda and CFMoto are doing such a great job pushing the limits.
Yup listening to the true sound is always the best! The seat height is not high so it's good for most people. Agree with your opinion, thanks for sharing!
In a way that's good, at least they can have a way to keep the prices more competitive and affordable. Switching out decals and emblems (if you want to) is pretty easy as well.
That's nice to have a senior biker there with a new biker, could avoid many unnecessary/unforeseen incidents. BIKER FOR LIFE! I think this is definitely DE BIKE, for those who love easy riding + 4-piston machine... once get used to the manoeuvring and road conditioning, bike riding is truly fun and relatively safe. I was shocked with the ZX4R selling at SG around RM98K (converted price).. well, at least we have zx25r for now. Because I think the ZX4R is really just nice for various ocassion.. even for longer-distance riding. Kawasaki is doing a good job again this time, let's see how honda and yamaha would reach to it... it is always beneficial for us should we have more choice with the 4-pistons 250 / 400cc section.
I agree, anyone that's not looking for crazy power/performance, just something looks good, rides/handles good, sounds good.. This is probably it. Travelling long distance should be alright, maintain 130-140 or less depending on the rider. Those busy trying to compare top speed/acceleration and what else will have a million complaints just let them be.. 😂
For a new rider, I have some tips. Make a habit of holding onto your bike with your legs more and loosen up your arms and upperbody. Maybe hunch a bit. This is will make menuevering the bike much easier and make the learning process much faster.
How tall is she? Both her feet are almost flat on the ground. That's good. During my days on the Aprilia RS250, my toes were just touching (tip toes) the ground. That made my riding so uncomfortable.
always a pleasure to see someone getting to know their new bike, it maybe scary at first, but everything will be ok when you got someone alongside you all the way. Just get more saddle time to develop your "rider-sense", then youll be all set up ! p/s : sighbored watchout, soon she'll be dragging knees and overtaking you in the corners :D
I really envy new rider now having so many great selection of bikes such as zx25r. I wonder how hot is the air dissipate to the legs. Can't wait for zx4r to arrive in the future.
Same I wonder how hot the air dissipate to the leg, I've been in a survey for a bike that I plan to use daily to work from 250 segment all the way to 650, actually I'm in love with sv650 but not because of the looks, it's because of the amazing fuel consumption that is better than any 250 to the 650 bike range, but somehow how this one caught my attention, I travel 100km+ two way trip a day and will go through a 2 hour long traffic jam, so I don't know if this bike can handle the pressure or not
Yes I'm envious too, if I had a choice like this 250 inline I would have just gotten one and super happy for a long time. As for heat, from my current experience, at below 100 km/h it's quite noticeable. How it will perform daily yet to be seen. But in slow speeds the temp climbs easily. I'm considering changing coolant in future to see if it helps reduce the heat..
@@DigitalExpert-eg2je I am a sv650 rider and used to be a supersport rider(gsxr). My sv650 is abit old around 2017-18 and used to have 32 km/L. Now it is around 21+km/L. Currently I rode alot of short distance with a lot of stops. So might be the difference in showing its fuel consumption. Not sure about the zx25r fuel consumption but for me one thing is that sv650 is definitely comfortable within busy city ride. Every bike I definitely have some hot air dissipate to the leg, judging from veteran biker like thesignbored comments, it might be more noticeable than other bikes. All the best in ur new bike hunt.
@@thesighbored EXactly. I cannot imagine what it feels like getting inline 4 as a beginner. Must be cloud 9. Do upload more in regards the heat! Thank you for the hardwork!
Greetings from Chengdu. I used to own the first Kawasaki inline4 250...the ZXR-250. How does this 250 compare to the ZXR-250? Oh! Yes. There is NO motorbike culture here. Everyone uses electric scooters, and no one wears helmets. Even if they do wear a helmet, it's a construction site helmet that offers no protection at all.
Hey Michael! Doing good in Chengdu? Well at least you already know beforehand about the lack of motorcycle passion here, makes you wonder about the Chinese motorcycles in our market.. The people that produce them if really passionate about their bikes. I was told the engine is the same as the old ZXR-250 but updated, with FI and a bunch of other stuff, so it should be similar but improved version. I was also told it will still have the same issues if constantly used at high RPM since the pistons and valves are so small.
Oh! Yeah. My ZXR-250 died an unnatural death. I pinned it on full throttle in Putrajaya, and as I passed the now IOI City Mall area, I was suddenly covered with thick white smoke and my legs were drench in oil...engine oil. Yes! I blew my engine. There was nothing left in it. That was my excuse to upgrade to my first 600...a 1996 ZX-6R. The rest was history...most of the painful. I've been here for almost 3 months now, and I saw one GS1200, a Benelli 650, a Triumph Bonneville and a Z800. The rest are those pesky little e-scooters who'll just sneak up on you and...HORN.
@@thesighbored Yeah! Man. The pesky e-scooters threat road laws merely as suggestions. I'm just surprised that accidents don't happen more often. The national past times are running red lights and doing illegal U-turns at their whim and fancies. As a pedestrian, crossing the road can be an adventure. You'll never know if you'll make it on the other side with all your limps still attached to you.
Go slower on her front break… she might imbalance herself n jatuh bodoh… keep it up 👍 take it slow and steady… ride daily until she can control the bike not the bike control her.
End of the day it's still a 250cc.. Depends what you need, the 650 can maintain a higher cruising speed for long distance comfortably since it has a bit more HP. This 25R runs hot in slow speeds so if you are jams need to be aware. Waiting for 4R is possible but I'm not sure the price is going to make you go for it

Kawasaki own 30% share of modenas, one of the biggest stake holder..that why

Great video! im hoping my first bike is a zx4rr in the states.
Nice choice for first bike, you will enjoy it I'm sure!
I've had my concern about the zx-25r heat for something so small to rev really high..
So far it is a hot bike, coolant temp easily climbs on idle and lower speed. If you keep speed above 100km/h it's better.

She torturing the bike😢
I don't think so.
Mungkin dia lupa motor tu ada Quick shifter 🤔 xpe slow slow belajar 👍
QS bukan kena guna selalu, slow riding/slow speed/low RPM tak recommended pakai QS. Silap guna boleh membuat gearbox rosak teruk.
