Another awesome Turkish design pistol. Just got it. I %200 recommend. Purely amazing product.
I really like it too.
This is my next gun purchase. I've heard very good things about this gun and I'm sold. 👍🏻👍🏼👍🏾👍🏿
Let me know what you think of it.
Like the breakdown touch at the end this will be my first pistol for my birthday and gotta say this has improved my love of the pistol
Brett Mahoney I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with it. It’s been a fantastic pistol for me.
Just purchased one and man it feels great. Hopefully I can go to the range soon and try it out.
I think you're really going to like it.
Same bro. Got it yesterday 🤟🏽
Awesome! Let me know what you think.
Got mines yesterday can't wait to go to the range
Sweet! I think you’re gonna like it.
Thanks for your short but thorough overview. I'm thinking of picking this up.
I’ve done a couple other videos with this including a 1000 round overview. It’s been a fantastic gun through the whole process.
@@OBNXS1 You have very informative videos. Keep up the great content. Thanks from Houston, TX, yeeehaw partner
Got mine yesterday. It didn’t come with al that for some reason but I got it at a local shop. A beautiful piece, can’t wait to try it out
Was it the Sar9x or just the Sar9? Sar9x should have come with all of this stuff but the Sar9 does not.
I know they released additional colors of the Sar9x but I don’t know what was included in the box.
Considering getting this gun at my local gun shop, they have it for 450$ looks really nice and it sounds like it's a solid gun after a lot of use. Thanks for the great review. Subscribed
Awesome, thanks for watching. Let me know what you think if you do buy it. I'm not going to be running anymore through this until I can get with Galloway Precision and get the upgrades for it, ammo shortage and all, but I do have 500 rounds and a box of 124 V Crown through it now.
What local gun shop has these in Stock and a number to contact for purchase. Please and thanks.

Like Canik's older brother that's been in the game since the beginning and lives right down the street. 🤘
I LOVE the way you set up this review. Probably the most professional review i have ever seen with how detailed you got without any unnecessary information. I also looked through the comments and noticed you are incredibly interactive with the people that ask questions so you have a sub from me. If you have time i do have a few questions for you. I had the regular sar9 put in my hand by a local dealer yesterday and i have to say it's the most comfortable pistol i have ever held. Is there any other pistols you would recommend for me to check out before purchasing this? Most pistols are incredibly uncomfortable in my hands and create awkward pressure points. Price isn't a huge factor though I'm not exactly rich.
Thank you for the kind words. I agree, the Sar9 and the Sar9x are great feeling in the hand. I’ve heard that they’re very similar to the VP9 but I’ve never held one of those.
You could also look at the Canik line of pistols. They are fantastic for the price and definitely another one of my favorites.
@@OBNXS1 i actually went to a different store today and got one of the canik pistols in my hand today and turns out the undercut is what makes the biggest difference for me. Never had a pistol with such agressive under cuts before these two and honestly i think it changes my entire view on pistols and i haven't even fired them yet.
Yea, the undercuts can make a huge difference. A lot of people do them on pistols when they get a custom stipple job done. Sometimes you get a gun in your hand and you wonder if anyone actually held it after they designed it.
My King Cobra is like that. Great looking gun but I bang my knuckles on the trigger guard.
Just bought one, it's awesome !!!!!
Great to hear!
I got rid of my Sar9x yesterday and got the Glock 19 Gen 5. The Sar9x kept jamming on me shooting 115 grain. It handled well with 124
I’ve shot nothing but 115 through mine. Sorry to hear you had issues.
It's been said that Turkish guns have heavier recoil springs and should be broken in with 124 and above grain ammo. Now I broke in my Tristar t-120 and Canik TP9SF(the best Canik but forgotten gun in my opinion) with a mix of 9mm. 115 to 147 grain. FMJ,TMJ and hollowpoints. Plus p only for the TP9SF. .
The sar9 and the Canik are made for the 9x19 nato rounds, they have very stiff recoil springs, you need to run good quality 124 grain ammo to break it in
@@mic187x2 tp9sf is the ole jewel that got Canik on the lips of Glock boys in the first place correct?
I have a friend who has one. Now I'm looking for one. Very nice gun, hard to find these days.
How does he like it?
I’m waiting for the call when I can go pick mine up!! Excited to get my hands on it!
Really sharp looking pistol IMO.
It shoots as well as it looks. The grip on these is one of the best I’ve held.
Thank you for this video. I just purchased one today.
Awesome! Let me know what you think of it.
I have 2 Sar 9 (one is actually labels as a "Sargun.) I cannot tell how this might be better than my present guns for twice the price.
What I can find it at online right now and what it will sell for are likely two different things.
@@OBNXS1 Both of my LGS's are retailers for the brand, both stay close to retail and they are all selling like crazy.
@@OBNXS1 Do you know what type of batteries are required for the included flashlight? I got mine and I have no idea and can't find out anywhere
IIRC it was a CR123a
@@OBNXS1 I believe that to be correct.
You know people are saying "aww come on man....open it I dont want to fast forward I might miss something!" Strobe light seizures optional. Sending out the Love. 💗
I had a video once where someone went back and forth with me in the comments over 60 seconds of unboxing. They literally spent more time than that typing about how they didn't like watching unboxing portions...and then replied to 3-4 comments.
Great content! Please update us once companies start making custom holsters esp for light bearing & RMR (ordered the Manual Swampfox Sentinel thanks to your insight). I've been turned down by Top 25 holster companies in America this week & its my 1st 🔫 so I don't have a holster collection yet to know other models that are compatible in specs. I know it's a gamble but out of the holsters you mentioned which brand/model would u spec out/order for use w/ Sar 9? Finally out of desperation, & after days of it falling down my leg during CCW practice (newby 😂) I managed to use the OEM holster & old cell phone holster clips (outer box) to make a pretty decent IWB for now so I'm stoked since I had deemed the OEM utterly useless & was ready to splurge on custom set up which is no longer quite as urgent. Let me know if your audience is interested in "how to" it's super easy. I could email u pics/steps to post or something.
Loving the journey so far & the OEM light but to have any 🔫 w/o a beam just isn't my style so I will be test fitting the Olight Baldr Mini vs Pro tomorrow. After that decision I will just need some self defense ammo & eventually a premium holster to complete my initiation. 👍
i really enjoyed your review.
Thanks!
Do you think it can be a concern if dirt or debris gets in the cuts around the barrel potentially jamming the gun?
Could it under the absolute worst case scenario? Yes. Is it anything I’d be concerned about? No. Is it anymore likely that dirt and debris will cause this particular gun to malfunction simply because of the cuts in the slide? Probably no.
If I was gonna get SARS I would consider getting that SARS
This one is worth getting IMHO.
I especially liked the holster fitment comparison.
Thanks. Doing these I always figured people have a drawer full of holsters so hopefully I can give some direction to them on what might work.
Just bought it and love it but the trigger is not the hi point of the sar9 do u know of any aftermarket parts to make it any better
Galloway Precision has some spring kits and Freedomsmith occasionally has triggers available for it. You can also do the 25 cent Glock trigger job on it while you have it apart.
Thanks man
The video has good sound! Congrats
Hooray!
Great video I just bought one here in AZ today had to order it but hopefully in a?week it shows up was wordering the one I bought is a Platinum with a lighter cerakote finish wonder if I'll get your color since it's the same thing GO BEARS !!
Nice! Let me know what you think of it. I'm waiting on Galloway Precision to open back up so I can get their trigger and spring kit in it for further testing.
Yeah for sure , I'll keep doing my research like I say I'll be waiting for a week not many people in AZ have these but over 80,000 guns sold here last month so it's hard to even get ammo here just picked up a M&P 15 .22 highlander the other day
GREAT VIDEO
GREAT FIREARM 👌🏿🏆🔥
Just picked up mine ToDäy. Except I just have the Sar9😏. Which has adjustable screw for the top sight. Anyway. Will your mag clip fit mine. Great video hit the liked and following.
I believe they use the same magazines but I can’t confirm that.
I got the original one and I love it. But the trigger is ehh... And racking the slide is just way too tough compared to my canik or my glocks.
I’m not a fan of the trigger either but it’s comparable to a stock Glock trigger. I’ve heard the Galloway Precision trigger makes a huge difference.
@@OBNXS1 I just checked and don't see a Galloway Precision for the SAR9X Plat. Where did you see it?
Has anyone found a source for magazines for the Sar 9X?
Luckysnipe dot com. You may need to actually call them for availability.
@@OBNXS1 Thank you!
You’re welcome. I looked and they only have 10 round magazines listed but there’s a contact number to call them about others.
I was able to find some recent production mags with all 17 witness holes on GB but they're not cheap. They were 32 each so I just got 2 but it was worth it just having found em.
Neither 229 or 226 mags work. I don’t have anything that’s directly compatible without modification...and I have a lot of mags. I think Lucky Snipe is dealing in OEM mags but you need to call them for availability.
No safety version?
They do make the Sar9 in both versions but I'm not sure if they did with this model.
Made in Turkey 🇹🇷
👍🏼
good review
Glad you enjoyed it
Wish the holster was inside the waste instead
It's probably a paddle, retention holster to give most people the option to carry it right out of the box. Anyone looking for a serious carry holster isn't going to go with something the factory provides because we all have our favorites.
@@OBNXS1 True that this still a must have for me 🙌🏾
Is there a aftermarket guide rod for lighter grain rounds.
Nothing that I can tell you definitely fits. What grain are you planning to shoot? Mine was fine with 115 gr.
@@OBNXS1 whatever i can come across ammo is very scarce in Hammond indiana. But i was wondering what ammo gave the best experience for this weapon so i can buy that brand and devote a few hundred rounds for carry and rage. And thanks for your prompted response.
Ofcorse any ammo is better than no ammo . so i will break her in with a assortment of ammo then devote some sig v crown plus p rounds to it.
115 gr is probably the lightest/most common you’ll find and should run fine. There’s always a chance a gun just won’t like a certain type of ammo so it’s going to depend on what you can find right now.
Very good video
Thank you
I need advice... I just purchased this firearm. What type of rounds should I use for the range and what type of rounds should I use for everyday carry?
I usually use whatever is cheapest for practice as long as it’s got a brass case. I don’t care for aluminum or steel case ammo, but plenty of people run it. I carry Sig Sauer V Crown 124 grain for self defense but everyone has their preference.
OBNXS1 thank you!
What size battery goes in the flashlight?
IIRC it’s a CR123A.
What size battery does the light take ? I didn't get a battery like it said..... and I can't find it anywhere
I believe it’s a CR123A
I have this same one but when I try to take it apart the slide goes forward but doesn’t come off am I doing some wrong?
You may have reset the trigger. Make sure it’s unloaded then pull the slide back about 1/2 inch, pull down take down, release slide and try it. If you watch the very end of the video, you can see how little you have to move the slide for takedown. But if it resets the trigger, you will need to pull the trigger to release the slide.
hi, from 1 to 10 scale , how do you like it sir
I love the grip and the looks, the trigger can use some work. I'd give it a solid 7.
@@OBNXS1 thanks so much, i like your review keep it up sir
why do you get a 7 and not a 10 what kind of weapon would the 10 deserve?
The trigger needs some work to take some of the gritty feel out of it.
Now why can’t I get sights like that for my CM9😥
Have you tried to find replacement sights for it?
Is it compatible with Walther magazines? The grip shape is very similar.
Victor I don’t have any Walthers but I doubt the magazines interchange.
Mags for the sars are hard to come by right now
That slide looks just like the one on my Canick.
Which Canik? I've got the two Elites but I haven't seen all the Canik offerings.
I have the Canik 9SFX. Now that I looked at mine, it is different. The cutouts on my slide are more square. I do like the looks of your slide.
The canik 9sfx was my fav gun now I have another one the sarsılmaz SAR 9X this 2 guns looks very same and i like it :)
They’re both really nice guns.
How did you acquire this my good friend?
This is on loan from SarUSA to test out.
You can get in on Classic Firearms website right now.
Hey I was just on the gun snob channel and asked about this gun because he had an rmr on it . What rmr would be best compatible with this ?
Thanks for coming over! The only thing I've found out about them at the moment is an optics plate from a Turkish company and Galloway Precision is supposedly working on one.
OBNXS1 do you think any of the one online are compatible with the footprint? I’ve seen some around but just am not sure if any of them would even fit on the gun. Appreciate your response I’m going to sub and check you out man.
You’d either need an optics plate or get the slide cut. Hopefully SarUSA brings in the plate from that Turkish company or Galloway gets their plate made.
Best 👍
How much is the sar
The whole package for the Sar9x is about $500.
These pistols are turkish vp9 clones. H&k let them have certain designs. They are also issued to turkish military
The grip on these definitely has me interested in a VP9. It’s one of the best grips out there IMO.
This is the only reason why i am so jealous of US people. As a turkish citizen it should be alowed to me to buy one of those! btw whats the price over there
They were 500 when they first came out here. Right now I think they’re around 600.
No optics milling/plates... long reset... They put the wrong things in the box(shitty flashlight?) if they want to charge the same as Canik.
It’s a decent price for what you get but I’ll admit it’s tough to beat the Caniks right now.
How is this one . Tim of MAC had the original. Constant failures.
Jonas Blane II every gun MAC gets has failures, that’s his thing. I’ve had problems with guns, but it’s not every gun I get. That said, I ran 500 rounds through this right out of the box and had zero failures. Then I cleaned it and I’ve run another 150-200 through it, again without a single failure.
He's the only one. Everyone else who has reviewed the SAR9 has nothing but positive reviews.

Yep, haven’t heard any issue from anyone else with the Sar9. A friend has 2500+ rounds through his.

You get a lot of stuff in the box.
It reminds me of what Springfield Armory used to send in the box; you’re all set up to carry it when you bring it home.
