This one looks ok. I already have a bunch of Paganis. The last one was the v3 moonwatch and it was great. It's always better to wait for Pagani Design's V2 or V3. It gives them time to fix the problems they normally have.
Isn't this a v2 of this watch? Idk I thought I saw a couple from a year ago.i think they're going to be good now since pagani knows what they're doing., hopefully
Pagani are standing out so well from the crowd in recent years, I have 5 Paganis this far and had no problems with any of them function wise or finish wise. Great day to day watches when you don't want to scratch up the big brand Swiss watches in the collection. Considering committing to a Grand Seiko spring drive, a few models I have my eye on but the Paganis you can buy as impulse purchases at these prices and you won't go wrong for the specs they come with. Total Bargains, also not too far away from San Martin's in quality if you don't want to commit to a £200 to £500 purchase. Nobody carries a loupe around to look at your watch out and about, they look the part and perform well.
I've just bought the 35mm PRX with the ice blue dial for £250 (with discount code applied). I just think the OG is so well priced, albeit the quartz version, that a homage seems a little too much of a stretch. Each to their own though, it looks ok and it does have the pro of an auto movement in the PD. Update: I've sent the 35mm PRX back. I've got skinny wrists 6.5in wrists but that thing is way too small. I went to the shop to return and tried the 40mm Mint "Tiffany" dial which is absolutely perfect.
Very decent looking watch but I already have a PRX and I plan on getting another, if watch came out sooner I might have picked one up but I'll stick to getting another Tissot. Plus, my local Tissot dealer gave me an awesome discount that makes it easy to pass on the PD. PD have made a nice looking watch but I feel they released this too late to catch the PRX craze that was going on. My two cents. Cheers!
The bracelet actually looks comfy! I like the contrast of the white chapter ring...probably my favorite feature. I'd prefer to ditch the white signature below the applied logo, but I guess it balances out the "automatic" above the 6 spot.
I JUST tried on both the 40 and 35mm prx. Didnt like either as far as size. I don’t usually go for homages but given pagani’s reputation for making good ones, and the fact that they’re producing a midsize which tissot failed to provide, i might just pick this up.
Sorry dear Tissot but i ordered pd1753,it seems great size for small wrists like mine ~ 6.25 inch,my first PD so we will see.I tried Tissot PRX before some period and i can say if you have the money GO FOR IT, is a fantastic quality watch but a little big for small wrists.Wish for all people happy new year , and for watch collectors too.HAPPY WATCHING stay healthy and take care.
I just ordered one. I like this even more than the prx, just because it is CHEAP and decent quality. I just don't want to spend that kind of money on a watch... except for g-shocks.
I received a defective watch. The crown wouldn’t screw back in and it wouldn’t hold time for more than two hours after being wound. I reached out to them and they told me I didn’t know how to use the watch. I’m a lifelong collector. I took a chance and lost 100 bucks. Maybe you get a watch that works but I didn’t and they were rude.
PD is pretty aggressive on sale days so I'd buy it if they took enough off to get me off my ass. It would be an afterglow after that version 3 of the Moonwatch I was very happy with.
Tough one, first impressions are tip top, no initial complaints other than a no date could be "ding dong"....you hit the nail square on, the original is obtainable in general....the PRX is something I've considered, particularly the quartz as it's the perfect grab and go....this one is going to be down to the wire as far as which to go for....🏴⌚🏴⌚
Very true! I feel like this is the ideal for people on a real tight budget, the type that are feeling the pinch at the moment! Otherwise the accessibility of the quartz is too hard to ignore
Hi Jason. Hope your well. Nice to see the clasp on it is pretty decent. Looks ok,but a bit bland, tbh. Pagani love jumping onto other peoples models though, don’t they? Love to see them do a Richard Mille homage. That would be interesting. All the best,Jason. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.👍🏾🇬🇧
If you are referring to the chrono version of the pagani then the bracelet on this automatic is a lot better, it's a bit lighter than the one on the chrono as it's a different bracelet altogether and the finishing is noticeably better starting with the fit of end-link to the case as well as the clasp. It's the best V1 of any watch PD have put out and I think it's well worth the $. I got the blue (which is a lot darker than I expected) but I love it!
to copy a budged watch is something I can't understand. I can understand someone who buys an homage of a watch that will never own, like a submariner or a vintage air king, but a tissot, or a Seiko, really??? The screwing crown did not go so smoothly right? Typical Pagani, a disaster that does not deserve our money. 103 pounds of shame!
Why not? Most good Seiko watches are well into $400 and above, with a lot of discrepancies here and there. Tissot automatic PRX 80s are over $550. This Pagani is around $100 to $130. This is a no brainer. Screw in crowns going in rough or smooth are a here and there thing, along with Seiko and other name brands
I bought the blue one. I loved the look of the quartz PRX when it came out, but wanted an auto. Absolutely hate the waffle dial on the auto PRX. The Pagani was therefore an obvious choice for me. Case, bracelet and dial are all great. 100 bucks well spent, says me.
You do know that people in different societies have varying purchasing power, right? Even the Tissot PRX is still expensive for a lot of people. Besides, people are allowed to purchase anything as long as it is not prohibited by law or statute.
@@darthgiggity7948 lol, and that should justify copying the design of a watch??? You buy a copy, a stolen design, without service and quality control, a watch without history, a shame just because the law allows it??? OK, if you are ok with that, go on. I am just expressing my point of view. These are watches made just to sell, to make you feel you wear something you actually do not have, often with quality issues or watches that do not last longer. When I could not own a PRX I was very happy with my Orient and Casios, good watches with solid companies that have contributed something to the watch industry and watch enthusiasts. Anyway, peace and love for all!!!

Definitely a good consumer point, they do come into their own in the second and third iterations

You're spot on, they suit a lot of markets to be fair. People who like an impulse buy, beginners to the automatic scene, people on super tight budgets

Super affordable too which always helps!

Nice colour. Brings out the other details in the watch. Merry Christmas Jason 🎁 :)
Jason, do you happen to know if there were ever homages made of the Omega Globemaster?

Hey Jason did you show the lume or did i miss that? Looks interesting and I guess Pagani are running out of watches too homage.....
Not in this one, I will do in the full review
You have a 6.25 in wrist, right? How does it wear? Is the lug to lug distance okay? Thanks
BERNY & BALTANY are getting better and better!
I'm thinking to buy one watch but confused which one to choose pagani design 1717 or 1753? Can you please help

I really want to see a wearable Richard Mille homage, good size to the case and a material that's composite, think it'd really take the market
@@JasonTheWatchGuy If Pagani make one, and it’s no good, at least you will have something to hold the door open with…👍🏾😉
How is the bracelet compared to the PRX. The last Pagani I got with that style of bracelet had such sharp edges it was way too uncomfortable to wear

Impressed by Pagani, but a relative budget watch may squeeze their market
See your point but if we compare this with the Automatic option it's a 5th of the price, viable option for a lot of people
Would buy if they had white or silver...
Mechanik automatik?
I got one just trying to figure out how to use it since the instructions from pd are weird as f
Why homage a budget watch?
The PRX is super popular, the homage will sell and sell well. Plus they’ve got a Quartz chronograph PRX on the way, that’ll fly out.
It's a budget watch but for people who want an automatic variant it's a 5th on the price, which is still a substantial amount to a lot of people
It would be an amazing watch if they removed that ugly, cheap "Pagani Design" text...
