I got my 39mm C63 relatively shortly before CW stopped doing the whole coupon/rebate thing. I don't remember the exact amount, but it was way cheaper than what I would have to pay today. The only "regret" I have is that when I bought, the bracelet hadn't been updated yet, so mine has less taper and only push-pins instead of screws. Plus the smaller case didn't exist yet which I would definitely buy over the 39mm if I had to do it again. All that said: This is a fantastic watch, even at the higher price-point of today. I had to have it slowed down a bit since it ran at around +20s/d out of the box, but other than that, this thing really puts some of the older Swiss brands with much higher price-tags to shame, IMO. The details and finishing of the case are outstanding.
Only a 2mm taper and push pins on a ~$1,000 watch is crazy. Christopher Ward was sniffing some of those Swiss Watch Mafia farts where they were seeing how little they can do and how much they can charge.
I agree with you in the clasp. CW can take this watch to the next level by coming up with a smaller clasp more proportional to the size of the rest of the watch. Other than that, they've done a great job with the proportions of the indices and hands to the dial.
Erebus is very compelling. When microbrands are so good, I look at people that buy Rados and Midos and Tissots as unsophisticated, uneducated, unserious collectors and enthusiasts. _"You're doing it wrong!"_
Titanium models are very cool. Twelve is a fad, though. Integrated bracelet is a gimmick and serves to lock you into the manufacturers ecosystem if you ever want to change the strap by selling you proprietary nonsense at marked up prices. It should be derided as an anti-consumer scheme and not as a feature.
Hi WatchSniper thanks so much for the kind words and for subscribing! We're thrilled you enjoyed the video. If you liked this one, be sure to check out our other videos-we think you'll love them too!"
I also have never been able to find the Nautilus attractive. Thanks for showing the dial in some other lighting. I always felt the photos make it look sort of like that red Orient does with the Kano and Kamatsu but this seems to shift more into purple in bright conditions.
My Tudor Black Bay 36 black dial is the Perfect everyday/occasion watch for me! I like the slabside case which makes the watch look chunkier compared to the more rounded smoother case of the Explorer. Also, its nice to hear your honest opinion on the over hype of those other gaudy luxury watch brands that so, many other youtubers constantly praise and reiterate the same biased content! For me, I'll continue to enjoy wearing my Tudor BB36 mowing the lawn, changing oil in my car and splashing around in the ocean while vacationing in Hawaii! 😊
Stunner timeless classic.. frankly Tudors are the Rolex of old.. and lets face it more personality these days which big brother has forgotten how to be.
@@lachangaustralia I Agree! I always wanted to buy a Rolex Explorer but, with the way Rolex does business and the lack of watches available, I'm much more Happier with my Tudor BB36! 😊
I really appreciate your untainted honesty, though I guess you pi**ed some of those Nautilus fanboys off. 🤣😂🤣👍 Anyway, great video mate! Greetings from Belgium!
36 mm is the perfect size for a watch. I absolutely love this watch, but I’m not a fan of the bracelet as I really hate polish on a watch unless it’s a dress watch.

How interesting

I just bought the updated bader bracelet for my 39mm C63.. the 4mm taper and smaller clasp really elevate it.
Thank God for this man youtuber, so right about the Genta madness.
That Mulberry version is close to my number 1 most wanted watch ATM. (I am serious)

I would love to see this side by side with an Erebus Ascent when it is out in September
If we get more upvotes on this comparison we will purchase it and compare it.

i’m undecided on whether i like this or the twelve better
Twelve only if you REALLY love the hexgon / royal oak esk intergrated bracelet etc etc look... other c63 is just timeless classic shape.

Perfect review!
Planning on getting the GMT, but its a shame they dont offer it in this dial color
Earned my sub :)

@ I just did! You guys deserve more views and subs
We’ll get there, we just need to grind harder🙏

Wait till you see the kingfisher sunburst blue dial on the 39mm CW Sealander...
Absolute gorgeous watch that mulberry colour dial would be the one for me...Great review.
I have the green 39mm GMT on a tide strap. The watch is superb

Great video. I don’t agree with all of your takes, but I appreciate the honesty nonetheless!
Great review, thank you!
Thanks for the feedback on the CW.
I thought I was alone thinking the Nautilus was boring af.
That Panerai you’re wearing is it the Pam01293?
Wasnt Bonds Rolex a lot smaller all round compared to todays Rolex, 37 ml ? Sean Connery 6ft 3" .
Someone said it... To be honest when I first was getting into watches I never understood the Nautilus/Aquanaut or the Royal Oak.
I really appreciate your untainted honesty, though I guess you pi**ed some of those Nautilus fanboys off. 🤣😂🤣👍 Anyway, great video mate! Greetings from Belgium!
I was clapping when you were talking about watch sizes
36 mm is the perfect size for a watch. I absolutely love this watch, but I’m not a fan of the bracelet as I really hate polish on a watch unless it’s a dress watch.
Did you have to pay import tax bringing it into Australia?
yes this was charged at entry by DHL prior to delivery,
Totally agree on: why people wearing dive watches in suit nowadays !! LOLZ
Yep, agree on the Nautilus, agree on the 36mm fitting 99% of folks., agree on the C63 clasp size. It's a bit out of proportion.
Influencers all push the same thing and say the same thing but they think they are saying something original.
Wait, James Bond isn't real? Well the Sub is out for me then....... I do agree about the Explorer.
The Nautilus is indeed ugly but the Aquanaut is hideous!
Yup make sure you use a European tool to adjust the Chinese made bracelet! 😂
Most European/Swiss watches are assembled like a parts kit with pieces manufactured in South East Asia.

You don’t wear a watch with a tuxedo.
You just don’t.
Nautilus is ugly? No wonder you have such a big following
Hahaha ouch., be kind mate I have feelings... ;)
Too small. Too unoriginal. Bad proportions. And a logo that could have been found on Albanian sneakers in 1978
It's unoriginal and overrated.
