I was watching this video in the airport. Then i heard my name being called over the receiver for my flight. But i accidentally forgot to switch off the video. When I landed at my destination, i realized that the video was still playing on my phone. And they were still having a stand off ffs.
For those who think Mounir went out of this way to get shirts with Gravity on them did NOT watch the entire event. They interviewed him during the event!! He said he had those for a while now, and his friend joked that if he went against Gravity, he should wear those for fun. And what do you know, when the brackets came out, Mounir faced Gravity in their first battle.
it's a bboy battle. it's not a ballet session. showing disrespect or showing no respect is just part of the game. as long as there's no physical altercation on one another, then it's all good. Any kind of creative disrespectulness is welcomed if you can back it up. Overall, it's all in good fun.

This is crazy. I know standoffs are part of battle culture, but this is a professional event. In these battles, who goes first shouldn't be left to the dancers. The announcer should spin a bottle or use a coin toss before each battle. Hell, even football teams in the Super Bowl do a coin toss. LOL I get the "strategy" of not wanting to go first, but if you're the better dancer, it shouldn't matter. If you have to rely on going second for the advantage of responding, it reveals that you don't think you can beat the other person straight up. Perhaps they BOTH feel this way, which is why neither wants to initiate. And thus, we get the longest standoff in BC One HISTORY. LOL
Mounir actually won but the judges prolly were like, "this ain't hip-hop, this guy looks like he ain't havin fun" so they voted him out. just my opinion.
Would have been pretty funny if they were doing a stand off for this long and the commentators would have cut to a commercial and then came back and they were still doing a stand off lol

That's not the first time I've seen gravity act up either. He was bitching like a spoiled baby when he got late the the FSC Anniversary battle a few years back in Phoenix and didn't get to battle. Somebody needs to check him because that ain't going to fly forever.
mounir had some problems before the bc1 and he had to stop his trainings and restart them 5 days before the competion... he wasn't in his best condition, but his tecnic is always perfect (sorry for bad english)

But you gotta understand AFTER a battle when music ends and decision is already made whos winner, its all about respect. The final round gravity was decent but mounir's round was too short. plus dont forget that gravity decided to go first and end that annoying standoff they had which should award him extra points. Abandoned the battle ahead of time and lost the duel. Fair enough the victory of Gravity, good for the Mounir learn that a b-boy really can not depart and find that won the duel ahead of time.
