Exactly. I feel sorry for the ASA (ACTION SA).
Nauseating she seems like a decent person however the underlying failure - ineffective leadership at the top and non existent planning on the ground. Treasury should flex their muscle and initiate a forced reduction in the size of government. Paying for all these unproductive positions is a complete disgrace and is only there to create high paying jobs for political connections.
Mike has just exposed himself with this interview,the agenda he is driving,Kak interview, he was trying very hard to rubish anything nd everything that the Speaker was saying in trying to differentiate between the Legislative wing nd the Executive..He was trying very hard to embarass her..unfortunately he didn't get what he wanted...the Speaker was solid much as she is new in the office,hardly a month...job well done Speaker..for standing firm, not allowing Mike to intimidate you..Mike u can't pretend for ever we now know who your podcast represent....
I am afraid the citizens of Johannesburg forget what you want, the city council is very busy having meetings , it’s the meetings that are very important not service deliveries, oh overseas trips also very important, oh I forgot they need a break, it’s very hard work attending meetings.
I don't see how propping up the ANC is helpful like this, when the ANC clearly has a track record of failure in Jhb, if ASA they really wanted to be of assistance in this working relationship, they would have stepped up and headed some of the portfolios, instead of pretending not to be in a coalition with the ANC and just shaking their fist at them from the legislature.
At one point I really thought that ASA was the party. They have just proven that this is clearly not the case.
This is a perfect example of the Dunning-Kruger effect in action.
Despite all the thousands of protests about things thst rate payers have objected to, nothing improves . Street lghts are not fixed, robits don't function, Burst water pipes are not repaired properly so keep on bursting, and so it goes on. We need probelems fixed immediately, not meeting after meeting taking place with nothing being fixed. Talk is easy. Action is needed immediately. 😊
Research shows us that public participation can improve service delivery and increase accountability and transparency. It's important that relevant stakeholders experience direct pressure from the public. The example she gave about Parkhurst and how the public engaged the speakers office to get the electricity restored is a good indicator that the office is perceived as approachable and beneficial to the community.
Once again no action will be taken, just a huge waste of money.

Maybe she can lead the party. Would be less useless than the current leader whose shoulder chip is hurting the people.
This BS will only stop, if we are able to allocate our tax to the party we voted for and are able to hold those taxes back if they don't perform. The fact that millions of non taxpayers are pushing infront of the service delivery line is mind boggling.
The problem with these people is "it doesn't lie with us, phone the ombudsman," like you're ever going to reach them. This woman talks rubbish! Let the public get involved. Give them the budget.

Something that confuses me. What's wrong with a top down approach? Rather it's, this Dept, that Dept, the other Dept, whose employees we all pay. Where does the buck actually stop?
There is just one truth I believe the vast majority of the population can all agree with, there is nothing good nor right about this country nor government, let them carry on running this crap show the way they are there is nothing left, it wont be much longer and this whole show will finally come to one spectacular end.

Nowadays they have so many processes and procedures to follow that the complaints get lost somewhere in the procedure and nothing gets done. OUR tax money pay for this nothingness. OUR tax money pay those people's salaries that creates this nothingness. OUR tax money allow those people to support their families and buy their clothes and food. Our tax money pay for the secure mansions that those people occupy. OUR tax money allow those people to send their kids to private schools and allow them to have private medical care. OUR tax money is delivering a great lot of nothingness to us through those people. OUR tax money is even the absolute supplier of the government that employ and pay those people. We, the small working class, is supporting and maintaining ALL those people whom in return give us a massive load of nothingness. Who would ever have guest that nothing can cost so much money...
We are all becoming the victims of our own complications.

Something is either right or wrong...

If the right people and I mean professional, qualified, educated and experienced people are appointed then the need for all the procedures and processes and so on to deal with the incompetence would be extremely limited as very few disciplinary measures would be needed. So the real problem is cadres.

The problem is ASA values power over vision, so they get a plush title but not clue as to the fact they have hitched their wagon to a three legged donkey.

what an disingenuous interview, not giving the guest time to respond, holding them accountable for things that are not in her jurisdiction with only a month, as to why you are offloading all your frustrations about service delivery on her, it is also problem when ppl like you do not understand how things work & function with government you miss lead your audience, the way you conducted the interview has allowed racists in the comments section to just vent & mislead more ppl, nd the da members to insult asa even more, even though she told you how making herself accessible to residence as helped her hold management to account and solve a problem, you expect the speaker to know immediately that lights are off,
So children must learn that they can highjack aeroplanes from the name given to sandton drive. No good morals
