Besides Taekwondo, Bren learned two of other Korean martial arts, Hapkido & Hwarangdo, so all the weapon skills with sword & pole/stick in this video came from those two types of martial arts.
He performs two kicks, but makes them look like one. It is really hard to see his foot position on the first one because he is very fast, but his hip position signifies a jump spinning round-house with the right leg, followed by a spinning hook kick (aka spinning heel kick) with the left. Obviously both are done before he lands, so he spins about 720 degrees in the air. Pretty impressive.
He is almost exactly the shape I prefer to be in. I never have been, but that's my goal. Getting bulky just to look pumped is stupid imo. It just impairs your movement as you just said.
I wanna have a body like him...but i want a ripped 6 pack...check out jean claide van damme he is quite flexible for his body too...specially wi his legs
He is a fantastic athlete, have to give it to him. He is clean in his movements, knows what he's doing and makes it all look effortless. He is great at what he does.
@@michaelee1989 hey it’s me, this is my new acc haha. he wasn’t really my master but he was the owner of the taekwondo place i went to so he was sorta the highest up so that’s why 10 year old me said that he was my master haha
Dude, can you make another Bren Foster video like this one?? the mix of this video with the Globus's music is awesome, make another one dude seriously but make sure to include fighting footage from him, type Bren foster street fight, and Bren Foster interview, but make it with another Globus song it would be great
Very good video !!! Bren Foster is really a great martial artist, and taekwondo in one of my favourites martial arts ! I'm already doing kung fu, but i would like to start taekwondo for improve my technique ! Really i love this sport
I like how his lower body is where Tae-kwon-do is at it's most effectice, the kicks. The upper body is usually where it lacks but there he put in sword skills! Explicit, I love it!
I am in taekwondo now. I gotta say i agree with you. Yes, the main focus is on kicks but my school (WTF) teaches things such as Hapkubi (pressure points defense etc) as well.
I understand your point and agree... it seems I can't find the right words to say what I want, so my bad... I was only trying to say that fighters who's martial art is based on ground fighting could easily overcome a tkd fighter on the ground and vice versa... nothing else
Hapkido also uses various kicks and sweeps (like most Korean styles), but using them sepparately defeats the purpose of using each martial art's best aspect. The best martial artist is one who can flawlessly combine many styles (of course he has to be good at those styles too). Combining the kicking arsenals of both TKD and Hapkido, the low attacks and joint locks of Hapkido, and both hand strike arsenals would aslo result in another deadly fighting style.
It's more than 8years that I'm practicing teakwondo I hope that I'll arrive to that level of it I have a bad kicks influging very dangerous dammage but not like that You're the best Bren Foster I really wish if he was my coach :D
Those who always complaint are good at nothing. It will take years of discipline to show this level of acrobatic skills. This is not about self defense but just a small demonstration of what you'll get.
(1) Original TKD : Training of body/mind ( from child to adult ) (2) Olympic TKD : Sparring for entertaining ( player ) (3) Applied TKD : Using weapon ( master , special force )
Oh I entirely understand but what I was saying is that that kind of training (ie competition training) can build tunnel vision which traditional or non-competition training often does not and it can take a greater degree of concious effort for a competition fighter to overcome this. On the whole, I think we've just managed something very impressive, we've reached a mutual decision in the RUclips comments section, that's gotta be a first or something
Bren is the prime reason I upped my fitness in TKD, his techniques are simply devastating.
hes truly amazing
Besides Taekwondo, Bren learned two of other Korean martial arts, Hapkido & Hwarangdo, so all the weapon skills with sword & pole/stick in this video came from those two types of martial arts.
