    Hi Jerry,
I am having display issues and click issues with my MacBook Pro M1 laptop. Did you every figure out how to fix these issues. I saw your video from a few years ago talking about these issues. I still have not found a way to fix my display being stretched and distorted and the clicks not working. Any advice. Maybe make a video on what you have found out since your video two years ago. This is very frustrating. I normally use dual monitors and this is when I have the most issues with my displays.

I could not get over the pricing in the Apple refurbished store here in Canada. I just ordered this exact same laptop. I had a M1 16" Pro and I really could have kicked myself because I should have gone for the 32Gb version, so I made it right, sold my 16" today. It is still very, very expensive, but I need it to be able to run sandboxes on my laptop, hence the need for memory. In total, I spend 4k in Canadian dollars, but that is better than the 4631 that it would have costed me normal. The 14" also has a price for applecare+ that is more in line with my wallet.

Hey nice review! I was tempted to buy one of these macs for my video editing because of the so much advertised dedicated h.264 and h.265 decoders/encoders, but then I hear you say that multicam Sony 4K footage makes your timeline stutter in Adobe Premiere (the NLE I am currently using) and, if this is not a speed issue linked to editing off of a slow external drive, this is truly disapointing... I think there is more to be said about these issues, because if a 3500$ computer targeted towards content creators fails to perform these tasks flawlesly, it kind of defeats the purpose. Thanks for your sincere input!

This is great, but the M1 Max models have gone on some insane sales... I just got my 14" MBP M1 Max a few weeks ago with 64GB of RAM and 2TB SSD for $2,499 at B&H. It's been an absolute champ and honestly it's 90-95% of the same thing with maybe 1 hour less of battery for a SIGNIFICANT discount, and the lower-specced models are even cheaper!

The part where you talked about the keyboard material.... i felt that so so bad. I too tried nearly everything to prevent the keyboard look oily and heavily used. and it not gonna work in any way. this is absolutely unacceptable for a laptop in that price range. i hate it and i hate it. you can use gloves and it will look oily after some days. I am still on my M1 Max MBP and i am very happy with the performance. I dont need to upgrade to the M2 Max, but i was thinking about upgrading to the M3 when it comes out. I actually do this depending on whether Apple changes something about the material, because i dont buy a laptop to use an external keyboard, which would prevent me from the noticeable prints on the keyboard. its a shame

Initially I thought the 16 Pro was too big, but after a week, I'm loving this display and speakers.. But I am getting buyers remorse on not getting 32GB memory. Is $360 price bump worth going from 16 to 32GB memory? If I add that, plus apple care+ my purchase goes into $3k territory and I don't know if my normal usage is worth the cost?
