The snow skiing scene was the first skiing scene I ever saw, so for years I was afraid of learning to ski, because I pictured "getting off the lift" as "dropping fifteen feet down to the snow below." Thankfully it's nothing like that. And snow skiing is a blast!
Another great Chris Evans movies that include cool powers that I recommend is Push. Watched it as a kid and I think may have been the first Chris Evans movie I saw (before this one) and I instantly fell in love with him and his acting! His role in Scott Pilgrims is what really set the groundwork for me being an Evans fan, just in time for Captain America and Avengers :)

I've rewatched this movie every so often just to see Chris Evans as Johnny. I'm also a big fan of Doom in the comics, they can never seem to get him right, but Julian McMahon is enjoyable enough to attempt it.
Even if they haven’t gotten Doom right (So far at least, it is only a matter of time before someone does in a film. And if Doom has patience, then surely we can), I think we can agree that Doom’s outfit is phenomenal. I don’t know how they made it look that good while being “faithful” to the source material. It’s in my Top 5 comic to film design for a villain.
This film came out when I was 13 so of course I gained an appreciation for Chris Evans from watching it. In my 8th grade computer class we had to make a collage of things we liked, Chris Evans as Johnny Storm made it into my collage lol
I saw this in downtown San Francisco when it was released in 2005. I used to be pretty close with singer Anastacia and she and Ben Moody sang a song for the soundtrack titled "Everything Burns". They did an AWESOME video to it that incorporates a lot of the scenes from this film.
I love these movies, good goofy. I also remember watching the cartoon as a kid it was great. One of my favourite episodes is when (maybe even by Dr Doom) only Johnny and Ben weren't kidnaped and went to rescue rest of the team. Their banter was hilarious.

Sue is the heart of the Fantastic Four. She is the one that gets Reed to stop being a absent minded professor and be the leader he is meant to be. She gets Johnny and Ben to stop arguing like children and be heroes. She and Elisa gets Ben to stop being depressed and use is rock hard strength to Kick ass.
YES!!! I've been so excited for you to get to these two movies. So shortly before he became Captain America, and also partly why he was scared to take on the role.
To quote Chris - "Everybody goes and sees Fantastic Four, but nobody sees Sunshine. I’d have a different career if people saw that.” You should definitely watch some of yo man's more serious roles, like in Sunshine or Snowpiercer. Sunshine also has Cillian Murphy, so like, you get 2 daddies for the price of 1. Sunshine is one of the more underrated films by your british director Danny Boyle. And it's got one of the best songs in cinema history, Adagio in D Minor. It's a song that was later used in many movie trailers cause it's so damn epic, and they also used it in Wonder Woman 1984. And not to be dramatic, but Sunshine kind of changed my life.
There is a series called Defending Jacob on Apple TV and it may be the most attractive Chris Evans has ever looked. He plays a lawyer whose son is accused of murdering his classmate and it’s a rollercoaster of drama and emotions. I highly recommend it.
I totally agree with this choice. Defending Jacob is very intense, suspenseful and good but Chris is so ridiculously handsome in it, he was almost too distracting for me to concentrate on the dialogue and plot. lol
The Thing and Hulk are actually good friends in the comics who fight each other for fun often. Most fights are in hulks favor but Thing definitely got him a couple times I’d like to think.

It’s not close to the heights of quality superhero movies but I always enjoyed this version of the FF. I think my biggest qualms are similarities between Victor’s and Norman Osborn’s villainous motives and how between the bridge scene and the climax there’s nothing particularly exciting that happens (a motor cross event isn’t the engaging superhero content I was hoping for). That said I do think they nailed Johnny and Ben in this and the science montages do resemble classic FF stories
Elisa’s stepfather is a villain from the comics, The puppet master. He has the power to control people with clay statues. Use the statues like they were voodoo dolls.
This version of Doctor Doom doesn't quite do the character justice. I'm glad that we'll be seeing the Fantastic Four in the MCU soon, because we'll also be getting Doctor Doom, and he has the potential to be the next great recurring MCU villain like Loki. In the comics, Doom is obsessed with power, a genius in robotics and tech (think a dark version of Tony Stark), and has even dabbled in magic. So he can be a threat all across the MCU. Yes, there's a sequel with the Silver Surfer in it. There's also a reboot movie starring Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan, but we don't talk about that one because it's awful.
@Glenn Welsh completely agreed. Kang will be the big villain of Phase 4, maybe early phase 5. But phase 5-6? Doom will be the big overarching big bad, since it’s pretty apparent we’re building to Secret Wars and Doom is a primary villain in that story. Doom is my favorite Marvel character of all time, so I’m DYING for a good adaptation that he deserves. Cuz by the time his MCU journey is over, he should be considered the greatest MCU villain and an all time great movie villain PERIOD

I think the problem is that they keep trying to tie Doom’s origin to the Fantastic Four’s when his character goes much deeper than that.
