If I didn't pach myself up and crack on every time I broke down... 😂
The skill of keeping things running is probably the most important part of the journey. Ticking over in spite of the grind is life. 😂

Farmer Jim Smith did a great video of the Massive Combine at the Royal Highland Show and how he was trading in his Class Dominator for the 40 foot John Deere so he could do all his Combining in one afternoon. 😊😅😊

The crazy comments must think wheat is gold and barley is whiskey 🥃 😝
RUclips celebrities always getting new kit are the problem, Drew.
Only way to have new kit is either farm share or using contractors. You do well for what you have! New shed looks good 👍🏽

Every farm is different , depending on its overheads and type of operation. I would say for a dairy farmer livestock buildings and a good efficient milking parlour is a must. For a big arable unit there might be more of an emphasis on machinery. Farmers in general are not stupid they are shrewd no nonsense operators. Wondering if you will be utilising solar panels on the new buildings or are you a little bit too far North?

Great video, sometimes with machinery it's better the devil you know, well that's what I tell myself every time I break something 😂❤

It makes more sense keeping the "old" equipment running rather than buying new, everything would break down eventually anyway. The difference is if you can fix it yourself or depend on the dealer arriving some time later and charge a lot of money for fixing a faulty sensor etc.

Nothing wrong with running older kit, as long as it spends more time running the broken down

Not everyone is rich enough to buy new machines, at current prices.
Most farmers are Tenants, an struggle to pay rent.
Me, My Ma an Sister do. After my Pa died in 2010.
So Drew and His Pa fix them, so they can spend money on other more essential purchases.
How stupid, can some people be.
Don't pay attention to them Drew.
    They're just Keyboard Warriors.
You do what you do to survive, in this horrendous economic situation, the United Kingdom, is currently in.
I take my hat off to you.
    I save my pennies.
    Like your family does.
Then the pounds, look after themselves.
As the Old Fashioned saying goes.
Glad you got the Good Ole' Dominator going !
    Briefly.
    Bet ya Pa.
Wasn't swearing at you then. Eh.

Very sensible ,all machines are in reality differed rust ,if you have a semi mechanical mind old machines are the way to go maybe replace with better secondhand when required ,new machines are unjustifiable unless big acres or you want to reduce a tax bill ,money in the shed will make life more bearable in winter
