      I got my eb70s and able to run our tall freezer. But sometimes give me
      Overload message when the compressor turns on. God knows why because the max wattage is 450w-ish. So I can' t leave it there. Maybe good for emergency. Weird because I managed to run a hairdryer with it on1200w. Mine is UK model.

    Awesome review. That Bluetti rocks!
    A friend has that same one. During power outages he prolongs the coolness of his full size home refrigerator by not opening it during the first 5 hours.
    After that he connects the Bluetti to power up the fridge for two hours then disconnects the Bluetti, waits another 5 hours, and keeps repeating this procedure so he can keep it cold, and at the same time extend the Bluetti’s inverter performance.

  • @kitd56

    Excellent review! I tested my EB70S with a 45w 12 volt refrigerator (30 Qt F40C4TMP); the final numbers just as the low battery symbol came on: 21 hours; internal temperature per refrigerator display was 34 degrees, internal temperature per infrared thermometer gun was 28 degrees. Interestingly, it showed no bars for the last several hours but continued powering the refrigerator with no loss of temperature. I am extremely impressed!

  • @ve2wiz
    @ve2wiz Год назад +3

    That's impressive how the numbers match.
    The Bluetti has a battery of 716 Wh and the inverter is known to have an efficiency of about 75%. That gives about 537Wh (716 x 0.75) available on the AC output.
    The fridge is rated at 478kWh/year, ÷ 365 = 1.309 kWh/day (or 1309Wh/day)
    537Wh / 1309Wh = 0.410 day, x 24h = 9.85h
    Great Review!

    Thank you for the full fridge test! I would also be interested to see a test of several sizes of chest freezers with the EB70s (if it can run them).
    FYI, in case it's helpful to anyone: I found that an EB70s starting at 100% charge can run a CPAP at 11.5 lb pressure, plus a 12-inch table fan on low speed, for slightly over 8 hours. The fan was started a few minutes before the CPAP, and the CPAP ran for 8 hrs 1 min before the EB70s ran out of juice. So the EB70s can get you through a warm night with a CPAP.

    Good review. Pass through charging is hard on this type of battery. Manufacturers new releases will replace that function with a true UPS capability to provide a better feature and cut down on warranty issues associated with pass through charging. Again, it is adverse to this type of battery and you will not get 2500 charge cycles to 80 percent if you leave it always connected to another device. I own this model too. I will not buy another unit with this type of battery if it does not have a UPS function as they are made to stay connected if the owner so elects. Some people learn the hard way too as if you plan to use only when power goes out you best make sure to turn it off after charging as otherwise it will be dead. Thanks for posting.

You mentioned that it provided 100 to 120 VAC, which is printed right on the front of the unit. I'm trying to figure out why my Bluetti is underperforming. Try plugging in an inexpensive window box fan - - typically about 50W, and see if it runs full speed. Again, please let us know, especially if you can provide data. Thanks.

    If you take the 478 kWh/year or 478000 w/year and divide by 52 weeks then by 7 days you get 1.313 kWh/day which is 1313 wh/day. If you take the Bluetti’s 716 wh and divide it by that 1313 you get about .54 days which is about 13 hrs. Multiply that by .8 because most battery’s are 80ish percent efficient and you get about 10hrs and 20 minutes.

    Refrigerator is a simple calculation if you know your energy Star annual kWh you can estimate your watts per hour. My large side by side Frigidaire is rated at 620 kWh annual. Then 620 kWh/ 365 days = 1.7 kWh per day x 1000 watts = 1700 watts per day / 24 hours = 71 watts per hour (or 1.18 watts per minute).
    In a metered test for 102 minutes .13 kWh used. To convert kWh to watts = .13 * 1000= 130 watts used. Watts/minutes = WPM, so 130/102= 1.27 per minute, or 76.5 watts per hour. So it is a bit higher than the Energy Star rating but I am happy with it.
    Here’s the thing, I lost power for 2 1/2 days after hurricane IRMA, and had no backup power. I did not lose anything in the fridge/freezer. I had frozen water in 4 large 1/2 gallon bottles. Plus we had ice in a bag. Kept 3 in freezer and moved one to top of fridge and kept everything cold. Rotated another out of freezer at beginning of 3rd day. We seldom opened the doors. New fridge’s are highly insulated. This made me realize it is possible cycle the fridge on and off in an outage, say on 4 hours/off 4 hours and reduce power consumption by 50 per cent, and not lose much temperature. This is important as you can only charge your solar during the day. I plan to test this theory. Thanks for the video!

    I think I made the right choice by choosing the bluetti over the one that charges way fast ecoflow. If you keep charging it super fast it will not last as money cycles and to begin with it's not as good of a battery in the ecoflow river or Pro or any of them from ecoflow. I hope I made the right choice. There are going to be solid state batteries that are even better but that's way in the future

      My ecotric hammer e-bike has that kind of display and it could be down to one and then it's dead. I don't like the display on this but I bought it the eb55 because of the batteries in it cuz that's what it is a battery lithium-ion phosphate lasts way longer

    • @klynch7329
      @klynch7329 2 года назад +1

      EcoFlow's Delta line uses Lifepo4 batteries, and the 600 watt charging feature (vs. Bluetti's under 200) is a huge plus. Think running a generator for 1.5 hours vs. 4.5. Huge plus, even with some battery life loss. And with EcoFlow you can always choose to charge slower if circumstances allow. No choice but slow with Bluetti. Battery life difference may be moot anyway, as technology will probably change before either wear out. For me, another plus for lithium ion is the much lighter battery weight.
