Tbh I think English witness sounds much better. You can clearly hear it go from a composed villain to a desperate one when it sees we can hurt it. From the second we deal our first fatal hit to it we see a whole new side. One of fear. Its movements are no longer slow and composed. There now faster and more frantic.
The ending of Iconoclasm just kills it for me. Brett Dalton made the Witness sound REALLY pissed and hurt when we wounded it, especially with "There is ONLY SUFFERING!". If the Japanese voice actor just belted that out, then maybe. 14:12 though the furious roar was pretty solid.
I get honkai 3rd vibes from this, while from English Witness I get some evil God vibes.... for japanese witness I'm just like: KEVIN, probably because of finality Final Shape...
I have no plans on doing so, but the official Destiny 2 RUclips channel (@destinythegame) has uploaded some in game cutscenes and trailers for other languages. It's not exactly what you're asking for, but I thought I'd mention it
I like the japanese witness voice, due to the fact that it could have the idea that the witness found one perfect voice for its being, rather than the fruit bowl of voices in the english version

The witness was never supposed to sound scary, it was supposed to sound composed. It was almost tranquil, specifically to contrast the moments where it gets angry. The witness' voice and cadence was a subtle and quiet way of telling you how it operated without outright TELLING you how it operated first. It gave the gamers the time and tools to get this character before we got the heavy exposition in game.
"THERE IS ONLY SUFFERING!!!" "YOU ARE UNWORTHY OF SALVATION!!" "WE. WILL. NOT. YIELD!!!" "We....are....SALVATION!!!" Tell me that ain't terrifying. And it ain't supposed to be terrifying. It's a calm and collective person who needs everything to the T.
Gotta say I prefer English, doesn't sound very scary or strange. But Nezzy? oh boy HE sounds great in Japanese.

The issue is that Japanese voice acting tends to be...tropey. It's always some variation of the same voice done a dozen times before.

With the English va, you can always hear his main voice. It's the deepest, clearest segment of it.
