Thanks for sharing. I purchased a Ponca at a local garden club plant sale. It's a fairly small plant. Probably won't get any fruit until next year.
You’ll get plenty of fruits for sure and they are sweet when ripe o first season harvest unlike most varieties. Sweetie pie are also sweet right away. It took other thornless blackberries 3 seasons to get good flavor and sweetness.
What growing zone are you in?
I have 10 Ponca's I'm finding them hard to grow.. They are not like my other Blackberries and Raspberries that just grew like crazy.
They start slow but they take off after getting established.
