Wow ! You actually clean it 🤣. I do construction. The people who have stained the concrete in the houses we build just stain right over mud globs , nails , whatever 🤣. It’s terrible. That’s why I’m about to stain one for the first time ever . You’re right ! There’s a lot to it . Scraping up polyurethane, grout ...etc . Thank you for the video. I’ll be using Kemiko stain and products . Hope I do as well as you have . My example areas look nice . But the sprayer I used was crap and dripped everywhere. I now have a backpack sprayer to use . Great job ! I’d have never thought this was your first time doing it 😊
That looks great!! I've followed you for the past 6 months. My brother and I are building a barn next year and are learning a lot from you and your family.
Note: Those are NOT expansion joints, they are "Control Joints". Expansion joints are for movement & control joints are for control cracks in the concrete.
Do you happen to remember if there were streaks after first coat of sealer? Used lambs wool applicator and did light coat...just curious if thats normal before applying 2nd coat.
It is difficult to tell because we have been really hard on it. I would say it held up well, but I do not have anything really to compare it to. I really don't notice any issues with the sealer itself, but the polish has taken a beating. I have re-polished the floor to bring back the shine... but I think that is normal.
@@FromScratchRanch thank you for taking the time to reply. Like you, we are gonna be living on it so I expect to have to reapply polish a few times a year. In the next few weeks we will be doing 2500 square feet.
@@FromScratchRanchCan you tell me the colors you chose please? That matches the brick on my house perfectly. You did a great job! Thank u for the time of explaining each step as well. Blessings!!! Oh I'm born and raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Now I'm West of that area.
No, it was just one color. We went with the Graphite color. It has definitely changed over time though into the actual graphite color we wanted. It started out looking a little brown for a while, but now it is what we expected.
@@FromScratchRanch that’s great! We chose the rustic stain color. My husband and I are about to tackle this project tomorrow! A bit anxious to be honest…hopefully it turns out good🙏🏼thanks for the reply!🥰
Not only did you guys work your tails off, but you allowed us to learn by giving us some very good instruction. Thank you so much 😊
Southern CA 👍🏽
Thank you!!! The step by step process was very helpful for me! Looks beautiful
Just a tip I learned working in a fast food restaurant in high school to soak up that water faster flip the mop after a few swipes
By the way, the dark pooling spots u described look great. Very natural look. Came out great!

I want to do my concrete back patio. For outdoors is there a certain temperature?
Thank You
It has been about 8 months now. How has the Eagle Armor Seal held up? We are planning our project for the next couple weeks.

You said the graphite color has darkened over time?
Did the anti slip make a difference? Thanks again
Wow! awesome job!! did you use two different stain colors?

@@TaurusX707ho did yours turn out? I’m about to do the rustic also.
Did you dilute your stain at all?
How is the floor holding up I’m thinking about doing this. Is it durable?
What kind of broom is this?
can i get a white concrete by staining?
It's funny that you got all gloved up to use the cleaner and degreaser but not when you actually used the acid in the testing part 🤔
where did you get your acid stain?
