I remember going camping one year with my family and some of their friends and it’s POURED but no one wanted to go home so we got the biggest tarp we could find and it covered the entire campsite from end to end. Here are a couple of tips when using this camping method: (1) It's not a bad idea to use some protective cargo mats (the type of mat used when carrying a cargo bag on your roof) at the places where your car is supporting the tarp, so that any rubbing caused by the wind won't damage your paint. (2) You can use your tires as additional anchor points for the tarp. When you have your vehicle about where you want it (but before you put on the tarp) lay down short lengths of rope behind each tire, then back up until the tires are resting on each rope. The ropes are now anchored, and you can tie them to the grommets at the edge of the tarp. 😊 (3) It doesn't hurt to carry a couple of tent poles to strategically place either to help with rain run-off or to make an entrance/exit. Hope these tips prove helpful to anyone wanting to try this method!!

Camping in a green sausage with Steve! Made me laugh when you moved the park bench inside the sausage to become the dining table, that's what I call 5 star dining! Great episode.
Back in the 90’s my family used to camp at Hanging Rock State Park almost every weekend in a double bed pop-up, my dad towed with his Jeep Wrangler. My father had every color tarp known to man and would take his ropes, and do these elaborate tarp roofs all over the campsite. My mom affectionately called him the “Tarp Man” and it kinda caught on…. I might have to send him the link for this. Thanks for keeping us all thoroughly entertained, Steve. Happy New Year to you and yours, sir.
As a child and young teen, we would camp where there were no facilities. Always slept on and under a tarp. Loved it. Your tarp reminded me of good memories.

I think a blooper video at least a couple of times a year would be a great idea
As a child and young teen, we would camp where there were no facilities. Always slept on and under a tarp. Loved it. Your tarp reminded me of good memories.
Anyone notice the creepy looking movement of the "figure" at 13:40 or so behind the trees as Steve's cooking the tacos? I'm sure it was crazy neighbor but damn took me a second, even now not too sure..
Yes omg I thought I was the only one
Me three..lmao 😳
Or the loud screen at 14:31
@@Seaparked Lmaoo omggg
You can see the hat lol
Thought this was new one
But have to admit
Happy it was just one I haven’t seen with crazy neighbor
I saw a Yeti !
Welcome to camping with Steve and Crazy neighbor & Tarp, heck yes!
This was a hysterically creative idea. Two vehicles and a tarp that could have housed a circus. Loved it!!
That's camping with Steve. Constantly switching it up.
Everyone needs a neighbor like "Crazy Neighbor". Awesome video Steve.
I wish I had a crazy neighbor like him.
Loved Crazy Neighbors Home Improvement/Tool Time joke when lighting the fire. LOL!!!
I was hoping someone else noticed that, too!!! 😂
"Binford Easy Lite 2000" That was one of the best references ever!
We must protect these two at all costs
Agreed

What... are they in danger?
I know! Right? Personally, I've been encouraging Steve eat healthier. I know he probably hates my comments about this, but I can't help myself. I love the guy and I don't want him to have a heart attack any time soon. Be well everyone. I love you all.
Is that a Home Improvement reference? "The Binford E-Z-Lite 2000!" Gotta love it, that show's a classic, at least in my time.
I loved that show. Best corny dad humour this century haha
@@campingwithsteve you deserve everything good that comes your way!
@@campingwithsteve God bless you buddy
I was thinkin king of the hill reference but I think u are right
Heidi...omg
Blooper clips were great Steve :)
The out-takes were epic. Great to see simple humor among friends.
I was thinking... thank God it isn’t a stealthier this time. That last one kinda made me uneasy. Just wanted to sit back and chillax. Love seeing Crazy Neighbor working the ratchet straps on a beauty of a base camp! That tarp is TEXAS YUGE!!!! Oh happy days are here again.
Why am I so entertained by Steve and Crazy Neighbor sitting and eating a can of beans??
Its magic I say!
I honestly think its a longing for simpler times. If you look at video games, survival games are crazy popular too; scavenging, camping is what people want now a days. Think its natural, since we got tech everywhere.
Beautiful wife said it the best, he's the Bob Ross of camping
Lmao
You should add bloopers more often, it's hilarious 😄
“If it’s worth doing, it’s worth overdoing”. That needs to go on a t-shirt.
Did anybody else notice Crazy Neighbor moving around like Sasquatch in a cowboy hat while Steve was cooking the taco? 13:25
Nice use of the spooky music too. 🤣🤣🤣
what was that behind the trees?
I wondered what the hell that was, glad I checked the comments to find it had been debunked!
@@queenofthejunglegel yes it was :D
He’s taking a dump
I very much liked the bloopers, please do more. I would also be interested in schoolbus transformation videos (perhaps on your other channel?), the project sounds fascinating, looking forward to that content.
That's a pretty cool fire pit with the swing over grate, wish I had that here in Colorado, thanks Steve and crazy neighbor,as well as beautiful wife, love the awesome vids!!!
that quesadilla/burrito hybrid in that sandwich maker is some top tier grub. also the picnic table inside the shelter was such a perfect fit.
My siblings and I used to do this with some blankets, chairs and a little rope in the bedroom. We would sneak down to the kitchen, pilfer some snacks then sneak it back up to the tent, have a great time. Wow, memories.
You have inspired me to go camping again. I haven't been since my Dad passed away. Thank you Steve!
Sorry for your loss and may your Dad fly as high as the eagles brother
go camping again, he will be there with u 🍻

Once again I love when you guys camp together. You just can't beat a good loyal friend. They are hard to come by.😊
I really liked this video, Steve. The blooper reel at the end really shows how much work you put into making these shows for us. Keep up the great work! I look forward to your future videos.
Its like building a fort. Except for adults. I would love to relive my childhood like this. This looks way too fun.

Words of wisdom from the camping king
Steve! This was a great one! Crazy neighbor is such a good and reliable friend! You are blessed my friend. I wish you guys the absolute best life possible. We all have pain in our past, but God has great things planned for you Sir. And crazy neighbor too of course!😊
13:30 love how neighbor is lurking in background right above the fire
Elsewhere on the internet, Mr. Wallis has been described as "The Bob Ross of camping." Truer words have never been said.
00:08:25 the hangy down things on the poplars are flowers, called catkins... like on birch and alder and others. They go to seed before they grow out the leaves. Red maples do that as well. (from a former forestry student) Keep up the great videos, and have a few step 2's, (I am) from Newfoundland!
Beat me to it. Dang! LOL I was debating whether or not to mention it. Well the flyover waterfowl were Tundra Swans. Diff call and no black wing tips. Like a lot of the birds at the Ducks Unlimited Shelter @ Vernon Lake. So great to see Crazy Neighbor again. Can't wait to see the bus in action! Rock On and Keep On Hunkerin' Down! PEACE
This was a perfect camping setup. ❤
I just got home from camping with my 2 kids in time to see and say....."now, you're camping with Steve!" "Oh Dad" my son says as my wife laughs in the background! P.S......I've put my travel trailer aside for now and am back to tenting it with a heater thanks to this fellow Canuck! Cheers Steve!!! And to all the Americans watching, Steve is definitely becoming a national treasure being a mix of Bob and Doug McKenzie with the guys from Fubar!!!!
Only Steve is not a hoser.

You know Crazy Neighbor is having the time of his life with this channel
Indeed
Especially when it turns into cooking with Steve
I subbed for crazy neighbor. You owe him a loonie and a toonie. 👍🏻
Ha ha good one that will subsidize my gambling problem LOL
@@crazyneighbour2429 I'm playing poker tomorrow. If I win, I'll buy you guys a beer. Don't hold your breath though. I'm a terrible player!
Absolutely brilliant, looks like a huge caterpillar, once you start giggling it's impossible to stop. Better to just giggle I did 😄
It looks like the 2 vehicles are doing something naughty, or at least trying to do something naughty.
However, this is A GREAT VIDEO!! Thank you very much. I LOVE IT!
Crazy neighbour always reminds me of Yosemite Sam. I don't know why. 🤠
This will forever be my favorite video with Crazy Neighbor, there’s something satisfying about this video. Makes me feel comfy on a cold Minnesota day❤
RIP Crazy Neighbor
