Naw this is not a comeback. This is a failure on multiple levels. First, having bobby kersee as a coach. Second, not allowing a biomechanics coach to help her form (her lagging leg caused her fall). 3rd, she is mentally not there thinking about modeling and brand endorsements.

That's the question does she really want to stay on top in this sport. Training for this event is non stop and grueling. And for someone as sensitive as Ms. Mu, disappointment is emotionally devastating. If she wants to comeback, she'll have to mature. And she may have to dig as deep as Mrs. Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and realize that this gift of her's is to give glory to The Highest Power. And to be frank, continuing running around half naked in front of the mob, may no longer be her shtick.

Mu should really think about a new coach and support team. Her development has clearly stalled. She looks like shes running with anxiety (uncertainty) and a lack of experience running in a pack. The modern 800m is a physical pack race. She is not strong enough given the length of her levers (limbs) to withstand the bumping and tangling that happens at that level. Her couch is not a middle distance specialist. Not a hater here, just a technical look at her races since the Eugene meet last year when she lost for the first time. Its like the world has passed her and shes regressing. Its sad and painful to watch. She doesn't seem to be having fun. That will limit her time in the sport. Its too hard otherwise if you only race the big races. Nike should help her out by insisting she do a certain amount of racing if healthy. The others are doing 8 - 12 meets a season. She does 3 or less. Experience matters at this level more than talent. Ask all the other talented 800m women. The best to her for the future.
