- Qantas Airways (VH-ZNA) [Great Southern Land] Boeing 787-9 goes around, Singapore Airlines (9V-SQM) Boeing 777-212(ER) and Qantas Airways (VH-VXB) [Yananyi] Boeing 737-838(WL) lands on RW03 at Perth Airport.
Why is no one talking about the last 737 landing?? Talk about a greaser in the touchdown zone very nice.
The Singapore airlines is just beautiful
Come back tomorrow for the A350 takeoff.
Hey!Its me the kid you met today.I didn’t know you had that much subs!
Good to meet you.
If Qantas was close enough to need a go around why wasnt it given priority to land first before SQ takeoff.
Wow, SQ took ages to get rolling.
Yes, sluggish would be an understatement.
Very awesome catch!! Interesting to see a 787 do a go around!!
Very nice footage mate. Gorgeous light 👍
nice 1
Looking at that video twice... ATC should have held the 777 till the 787 had landed. Priority should go to the a/c landing after a longer passage. Combination of Singapore and ATC stuff up.
David Stewart Nope. SQ had more than enough time. In Singapore they bang on about minimizing runway occupancy times yet their airline pulls s**t like this. All on SQ.
David Stewart The air traffic controller should have said ‘line up without delay’ he’d have got the message.
QF9 is Melbourne-Perth-London.
Great go around catches!
Cool video for sure. We can argue about the sluggish 77 or the ATC but the big ticket issue here is the takeoff data for the 77 is no longer valid after they used up a chunk in their 'extended' line-up.
Amazing footage what day was this
Great Vid of the go round !
great video
Craaaazy! Great vid
SQ did as he was told albeit a tad slow to lining up. Atc should of held SQ to let QF land. 4:48 Just watching the clip again and noted that the female tower controller after directing QF9 to go around and a male tower controller has directed SQ to abort the takeoff. Could this perhaps be her supervisor stepping in to help out?
I thought the same thing the female sounded young maybe new to the job or in training.
Amazing go-around mate! it could be the first ever 787 go around in Perth? we've just got the first time a350 go around in Adelaide
Nah ive seen a scoot 787 go around in Perth. beautiful.
Yeah, i’ve got a video up on the Qatar A359-900 go around as well! Check it out MA 3N!
HICKAVIATION Nice
You’ve already seen it!
I caught it on flightradar, i couldn't believe my eyes
Fantastic video!
Was the last plane supposed to be a 787?
Interesting, qantas had to u turn. Normally, sing airlines should have given way hey?
That was cutting it very fine if QF9 had landed...
What a mess indeed?
Why didn't the ATC let the Qantas 789 land before giving the Singapore 772 clearance for takeoff?
Beautiful 787 go around and 772 takeoff nevertheless...
Singapore had time to depart, not sure if it realised the need for expedited departure tho.
SiVIDEO AVIATION Yup. Rubbish display of situational awareness by SQ.
It’s not there job to judge distances they are supposed to follow atc instructions
@@sj1461 well the ATC not even asking SQ ready for immediate takeoff when SQ report they are ready. Then suddenly when they taxi to lineup the ATC said cleared for "immediate" takeoff.. Would be different if ATC already said Singapore cleared for expedite lineup and takeoff. ;)
@@pkpjn2000 they took forever to lineup lol watch other videos of this exact airport and runway
ACTUALY D S IS CORRECT AND QF WAS ON FINALS AND SQ REALLY WAS DOING NOTHING WRONG IF A LITLE SLOW TO REACT ON ENTERING RUNWAY. HOWEVER WE DONT KNOW THE DEPARTIRES BUT QF WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPY
10/10
I don't think the passengers appreciate that go around :/
I don't know a nice scenic tour of Rottnest.
Oh so the 787 went around Rottnest, I take it back
It can not have been that busy that it was in safety first best interest to allow the Singapore plane to take off before the incoming qantas plane...what a mess. Sure there will be if already hasn’t been an investigation
well it's possible if the ATC said from the beginning "immediate" when SQ already said they are ready.
What an ATC mess that was
Singapore took a long time to move after being given permission to line up and should have easily been able to take off before the Qantas had to be told to go-around. They (Singapore) had reported ready so all checks should have been completed and be ready for an expedited takeoff.
Yep, agree that 777 was lumberingly slow. I wonder how many mins fuel that 787 still had after flying halfway round the planet?
Plenty plus.It was coming from Melbourne
David Stewart it was QFA9 so it was coming from Melbourne. It would have had plenty of fuel
Was the female at ATC?
Yes
SIA IS BEST
