What is a Sangwich?
I use hot dog buns for my maid rites --- so much easier to eat, nothing falls out.
the original MR does not have ketchup or mustard
mustard was an option,ketchup was not !

Might sound blasphemous but it's a lot easier to put in a hot dog bun. With some mustard and onions on it of course.

i always thought this was a michigan thing . we call them loose hamburgers here . i make them sometimes . they r really good !!! have a great week . and ty for sharing this video .
In talking to my grandfather and great uncles, years ago, and who were in Iowa in 1926, passed on to me that Made-rite beef WAS NOT GRILLED!!! Only the onions were grilled. The ground beef was steamed in order to let ALL of the fat drain out. Also, NO PICKLES ever made it into a proper Made-rite sandwich!!! You did have your choice of ketchup (discouraged) or mustard (the condiment of choice,) but not both! This video is just another example of passing on a secret from one to another and another... and getting it WRONG... because they don't care. They simply do what is easiest and expedient.
