Wow! This is to date the best of this type of railroad I've seen. There seems to be a strong effort to be as true to the prototype as possible. Obviously there's a lot of property to work with, but it has a great balance of open line running at full throttle and just enough diverging rail to keep it perpetually interesting. Very nice.
While not a permanent solution, choke collars can make decent temporary safety chains. True it only helps if the coupler is still in the pocket, but it's what I've been using on EC&A 4's caboose until I can rebuild it.
same, i'm 29 and i have wanted a train like this since i was 6 or 7 years old and even if i do win the lottery i still have cerebral palsy and autism that may make operating a train like this a challenge
I've always wanted to own my own miniature railroad. If I ever become a millionaire or billionaire this is what I would do. I'll be riding my trains all day
@@jamesm6638 they also make miniature locomotives where you can actually get inside of them. Those are the ones I would rather have. That way if it's raining outside I can still run it
Those Loco's are wobbling to much, either track needs Gravel tamp and releveling of Sub Base or something going on with Traction Wheels...... It looked like very close to a derail several times?
This railroad is in Michigan and our hard freeze thaw cycle would undo any work done in the summer as soon as winter came. Derailments are common but is most often a problem with equipment than the tracks , except when the gauge is out and work is being to fix the gauge in several places.

thank you, have been top white creek two or three times, an enjoyed every minute of it
That's one cool steel trust bridge over the swamp. I luv to know how it was built & installed.
I recently watched the New Year's Eve footage from 2022. In warmer weather, this looks far more inviting!
PRETTY BUMPY RIDE!
Your video just made me an even BIGGER believer in safety chains...lol
Chains r over rated 🤓
@csx5945 LOL...until your loco breaks away when you're looking backwards to check the rear of your train while going uphill.
@ no need to worry or check when you have a conductor back there with a caboose with air brakes

I believe that safety chains are required at White Creek. This is a good run.
@@fredmapes8414 We're both aware, we both run at White Creek

It ain't THAT expensive, man. You can build a locomotive relatively cheap and just run it at your nearest club.

@@csx5945 Why aren't there any newer vids, do you still own this engine? I would love to speak with you about a similar one, is possible?

Oh wow Congratulations..Do they haul freight ,firewood lumber etc?
When you go through the tunnels what about spider webs?
Where is this?
How many miles of track does this set up have
who made all the good looking freight cars? or were they all bought.
tell Nat, I said hi, choochoo charlie from vets home
No diesel in the diesel?
Are those solar panels on top of the engine?
They are blower vents out the top sides to keep the batteries cool
boring.
don't wanna watch you ride around, wanna watch you build stuff.
Well good news I have 4 more hours of footage like this.
Then watch a different video. Not every video on youtube is made specifically for you, imagine that.
