I'm dreaming of a white Christmas ...Just like the ones I used to know ..Where the tree tops glisten...And children listen...To hear sleigh bells in the snow...💖
Great video, thanks for the recommendations! Festival of Light at Van Dusen Botanical Garden looks pretty amazing, hopefully I'll be able to check it out this year!
Not only Lights at Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam, but they also have for two days only for the Coquitlam Christmas Night Market, tickets are $2.00 but all the ticket sales are donated to the Children's Hospital. There are many vendors to find unique or homemade gifts, food, and plenty of fun. It's open on December 2 and 3rd, Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 9pm. Held at the Evergreen Cultural Centre,1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam, BC. If you are looking for special gifts or just want to mingle with large crowds, then you should check this out, and it's easy to get to by Skytrain, and for parking come early for the best spot.
The Aurora Winter Park seems like a lot of fun for family and friends. But the Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge seems like my kind of place to go on a dark starry night with the girlfriend on a special occasion or even by myself and enjoy the beauty of nature and the nice xmas lights. Coming to visit Vancouver soon hopefully:)
Great video!! I had the opportunity to do all those activities last December and I’m looking forward to repeat it this following December with all my family, greetings from Mexico!
I actually did a video at Capilano Suspension Bridge to fight my fear of heights and enjoyed it so much I went back for my Christmas special. So disappointed that Burnaby Village Museum had to cancel their 2020 Christmas due to Covid restrictions.
I was trying to figure out what todo when I get to Vancouver on December 1st, this video is a great help! Wish there would’ve been dates added though, like when the lights go up etc.
Wow, I was looking through your old videos and stumbled upon this one, which includes where I currently work, glow! I was there two years ago, and then they were in Abbotsford last year, but they came back to langley this year so I've been working there again. If you're looking for covid friendly video ideas, we are still open this week Thursday to Saturday! Of course, it's not really Christmas anymore, but it's still pretty if you haven't been this year, and the price for a car includes donuts and popcorn. Thanks again for all your videos! I visited the caboose hostel last September on your recommendation and it was well worth it!
@@DownieLive I had an amazing time at the caboose hostel! The lady there was super cool, and her pancakes were amazing and as a person who is fascinated by trains, it was extremely cool to sleep in a real caboose! Thanks for the reply!
This has been super helpful! Thanks for the guide! Any recommendations for Christmas day itself? Most of these attractions seem to be closed on that day
Who is Michael Downie? Maybe a video about yourself would be a good idea too. Did you study Broadcasting or journalism anywhere in BC? Thank you for your channel. I just subscribed!
Jasmine! Great question, and I plan on making that video around Christmas time this year when I have a little more free time! Thanks for the interest! See you then!
Oh good question Joseph. I actually have no idea. I went to a lot of those as Media and didn’t pay an entrance fee. I should have calculated it. I’m sorry I don’t have an answer for you.
