Purchased Nexus 10 in Oct. of 2011 for $449.00. It works as well as is did in 2011. I use it everyday for about three hours and I just installed battery #3 from Amazon for $23.00. It is durable and still works after dropping many times. Center screen is a bit stained from finger tip oils but it does not interfere with viewing. Screen resolution is fantastic and is the best device I've ever owned.
I love my Nexus 10 so much that I bought two! I've replaced it's battery when one got old. (Bought it in 2013) It's really a great tablet. Great sound. Great for watching videos on RUclips.
I bought this quite a while ago and my wife and I still use it at LEAST a few times a week. I originally bought it to read digital comics, ebboks and the like on it because it had an impressive resolution at the time (and still does, there are lots of tablets in even the mid range that are being sold today that have CRAP for resolution making reading books and comics and enjoying high resolution photos difficult. it's got a PHENOMENAL display, the second thing that got me immediately is front facing stereo speakers. If someone could please tell me (seriously) why most devices today (tablets in particular but also phones) don't have front facing speakers I would be incredibly grateful. That battery life is pretty epic, but i wish it had fast charging like many newer nexus phone devices. last but not least, the biggest reason i bought this over other devices that were availible on the market is that it's a nexus which meant that it would be supported by google and a large developer community for a very long time (I had the original samsung galaxy tab before it end enjoyed the dev support but it wasn't nearly as nice as the nexus 10... i mean, heck, they're still making new roms and patches for it today,, which is great and it's still in use. I never dreamed I'd still be using it, and using it well on a regular basis this far out. - it's also an epic mobile netflix/youtube/feedly/facebook machine when you want a larger device than a phone that's nice and lightweight in the bedroom or on the couch. it's way more elegant than using my laptop for lighter tasks, and I don't think i've bought a paper book since i've owned it.
I have been using mine since they came out. 2021 and still going strong. No issues. I just changed the battery for the second time. Hoping to get a couple more years out of it.
2020, nexus 10 still running just great having bought from new on launch. I actually like the bezels, it looks silt but something solid to hold on to. Charge time is also not an issue with the pogo cable.
Would you say it makes sense to buy it in nearly 2022 ? Android 10 , battery can not hold charge, i just try to find an used tablet from past for browsing internet , watch netflix, youtube.
I can't give this tablet up. The screen, speakers and the build just makes me use it regularly .. Whop in a fresh 9000mah battery and boom. It's a great RUclips tablet in all honesty. Facebook isn't too bad either, everything works
@Carolluke1 typing on the nexus 10 now (32gb) :) The only thing it struggles with for me is playing mkv. Format in movies etc. It sometimes strains the tablet if the bitrate is too high. Netflix runs at 720p flawlessly. It can handle 720p 60fps on RUclips absolutely fine. Also 1080p at 30fps. I heard a custom ROM can even run RUclips 1440p 30fps which is insane considering the age of this tablet. Hands down the greatest tablet I will ever own. It's sad I bought it late but, for media it's hard to beat for the price
Good review dude! I have a Nexus 10 running a PureNexus 7.1.2 ROM. It performs surprisingly well and gets 7+ hours OST which is a lot better than in 5.1.1. I'm having a hard time finding something that performs better. In 2018..Thanks again.
Bought mine exactly 5 years ago. Still using it extensively to watch movies and read PDFs. Would like to buy something with a little more performance, but can't justify, since it still shines in all the tasks that I do most often.
Callum Leigh Montgomery the 7 was awesome and stayed awesome way after it's life span. I'm pissed Google stopped that kind of innovation. I'm still using a Nexus 6, easily the best made Nexus ever.
I just bought one this year and I love it. Think it was new old stock for like 200 with all original accessories. For the money its a great tablet. Good review.
I have mine since Dec13 with an moko case. Still love it, unrooted stock android 5.1.1 this year i wiped it first time and installed just my streaming apps. best tablet for watching. long battery, gokd quality and the best thing is the screen resolution.
I've had all of the Android flagship "nexus" tablets, and phones. (including the pixels). I love stock android even without rooting them, which I usually do as they get older. I've had my nexus 10 since launch, and have just recently rooted it to nougat. I still love this tablet like it's day one. I've had a few others in between. Smaller tablets, the 10 is just a little too big sometimes, but I always end up going back to the 10 in the end. I travel a lot for work and the nice big screen is great for watching movies, my only real complaint is the lack of a SD slot. I have a Bluetooth gaming controller and emulators/roms so that I can play games when I'm bored sitting in hotel rooms.
The Last Of Us It really doesn't seem to have slowed, maybe a bit of a pick up if anything. I really don't see much of a difference honestly. I really only rooted it because of how far it is behind. They really abandoned this tablet way too early imo.
Watching this review on my Nexus 10 to test the battery life lol. Tempted to buy a replacement battery for this while they are still available. Still a nice tablet 😃
I'm selling mine now after 6,5 years. Main reason is the battery that is probably damaged because it was sometimes laying around completely discharged for months (had no wifi for some time). The screen resolution is awesome (perfect for reading/surfing), animations are fluid, Performance 5-6/10 is fair. However, the contrast isn't too good, black levels aren't very good so I wouldn't recommend it if you constantly use it in very low light, e.g. before going to bed. It will not play 1080p60 youtube videos, 1080p30 or 720p60 runs though.
I still have mine, just use it to watch the odd video and a bit of casual gaming, I'm tempted to root it to get rid of all google crap, but great screen and very good battery life, in a stillgut case, it still looks new, although hardly borderless, the speakers and build are very decent..
Colour eBook reader for PDFs such as University textbooks is something this is still very useful for. Look for options on new 8 to 11" colour eBooks and they are limited and cost a bit, this is an awesome for that. Direct sunlight is a no go as it reflects too much but if you can still read it outside easily if you block direct sunlight with your body. Install PureNexus 7.1.2 and it is highly usable if not super quick. Writing this on the Nexus 10 that I'm taking with me to read my Uni textbook later with.
@simplealpaca what do you think about using the Nexus 10 as a game machine? The big display is what I'm interested in and it seems like it's capable of playing decent games. It won't be my every day driver, strictly gaming. Should I get the Nexus 9 instead which rocks a tegra by Nvidia
Hey dude, have you thought in re-reviewing the htc Droid dna? or the one max? I owned them a while ago, actually I still have my Droid dna, and my Nexus 6(the one you revisited this and last year.) Greetings from Mexico Baja California, keep going this type of videos:).
Still using my Nexus 10. What tablet would you recommend to replace this with Today! (5/14/18) Hard to beat the overall quality/ feature set of this 6-year-old device.. it's a little slow. I would like Oreo feature set!!
How's the screen quality. Looking for a cheap tablet with high end graphic reproduction for using as a preview screen / wireless tethering system for my DSLR camera on the go. I've seen a few of these used for under a hundred bucks.
I've had mine since it first came out in 2012 and I still love it! I've had to factory reset it twice, I think, but it recuperates well regaining its speed etc. Had no idea it has been 6 years already, probably half the age of some watching this video. 😂I chanced upon this review looking for antivirus recommendations for it, as I've recently started to rethink the necessity for one on my phone (Galaxy S7 edge). Suggestions...? Recommendations...?
I bought one at ebay. And I replaced it myself, the battery comes with tools. It worked just fine! But remember to charge the battery after you replace it because it comes without charge and it takes 11 HOURS to charge it!
Hello greetings from Argentina, could you inform me if the tablet sounds good from the front speakers? And if it is suitable for current games such as free fire or call of duty, it is to give my son thanks and regards!
Bro ima be honest i have a nexus but when im charging it, its rebooting but when its rebooting its like glitching and got back just into a black screen its like it wont work
Dude I'm still have mine and rocking with Omni ROM, with it I solved the random reboots problem but still having some issues with loosing the wifi connection, any recommendation?
I've still got mine and use it as my main tablet! I bought it in 2013. It's slowing down and a little buggy at times but it still works great considering. Any tips of speeding it up again?
In the developer options, change the window, transition & animator animation speeds - so it seems faster. Also you could clear the cache partition. And clear out unused apps & check what's running in the background
Hey bro. I had mine a while but some rug rat family kids if mimi broke the screen, but of late I'm trying to get it working, but it is not charging could u tell what to do
Does someone sell the Magnetic Pogo Charging Cable for Nexus 10? Or has someone an idea where I can find one (sold out on amazon, not on ebay either :( )
Hey try some Xiaomi devices. Like Redmi Note 3 Pro. Note 3 pro is the most popular Phone of 2016 so why not give it a try. Btw, I rock Redmi 4A and try miui it's full of features and it's awesome. So give it a try. Anyways I love your videos man!!! Keep going!!!

I'm still using this in 2022 lineage android 9 works great. Android andi created the ROM .great for RUclips watching movies and browsing
what about battery?
I love my Nexus 10 so much that I bought two! I've replaced it's battery when one got old. (Bought it in 2013) It's really a great tablet. Great sound. Great for watching videos on RUclips.
Was it simple changing the battery

Still rocking on my Nexus10, 2560x1600 res on a beautiful screen in 2012, hell yeah! =)
Well I have the Nexus 10 32GB, since 2012, and after 2 battery replacements in 11 years, its still going strong 🙂
Bought mine exactly 5 years ago. Still using it extensively to watch movies and read PDFs. Would like to buy something with a little more performance, but can't justify, since it still shines in all the tasks that I do most often.
I wanted one of these so much back in the day, got the 7 instead and cracked the screen, got a 2nd gen eventually.
Callum Leigh Montgomery the 7 was awesome and stayed awesome way after it's life span. I'm pissed Google stopped that kind of innovation. I'm still using a Nexus 6, easily the best made Nexus ever.
Callum Leigh Montgomery The 2nd gen Nexus 7 is a beast.
Steven Anon Agreed.
@@RobWatkins I agree. It holds up pretty well, even nowadays with performance being just under today's flagships imo.
Im in process of buying one, I think it's pretty cool and it's cheap.
I just bought one this year and I love it. Think it was new old stock for like 200 with all original accessories. For the money its a great tablet. Good review.

im also watching this on my nexus 10. greetz from germany!
me too LOL
nexus 10 2019
Mine actually does not last that long on battery because it's really old, I mean it's coming up at 10 years, right.
don't forget the selling point of this is pretty much the screen resolution
just like the iPad 3 tbh
It holds up great. If I can get a good Sailfish OS port to it, it'd be perfect. Also the bezels are great for actually holding it and usage.
Watching this review on my Nexus 10 to test the battery life lol. Tempted to buy a replacement battery for this while they are still available. Still a nice tablet 😃
I need a battery for mines
Change battery , have 2 tablets.Very good in 2021 !

Greetings from Mexico Baja California, keep going this type of videos:).
watching this video on my Nexus 10 18/01/2020!

Thing still holds up in 2021. Just put android 9 on mine.
Hello greetings from Argentina, could you inform me if the tablet sounds good from the front speakers? And if it is suitable for current games such as free fire or call of duty, it is to give my son thanks and regards!
How about seeing if older iPads like the iPad 2/3 are worth it in 2018?
Just whipped mine out again for a time clock application
I still have my Nexus 10. :-) Thinking of slapping on a ROM so it can use some newer apps.
I was thinking of getting rid of mines but after looking at this I might just keeping for my gaming walkthrough
Bro ima be honest i have a nexus but when im charging it, its rebooting but when its rebooting its like glitching and got back just into a black screen its like it wont work

What's your recommendation for a Nexus 10 replacement 2019 ..I loved Nexus 10 & want something similar that's cost effective ??

Dude I'm still have mine and rocking with Omni ROM, with it I solved the random reboots problem but still having some issues with loosing the wifi connection, any recommendation?

A factory reset will help, i just cleared most of the apps off mine and it's running a lot better.
Yeessss factory reset is the best !
Hey bro. I had mine a while but some rug rat family kids if mimi broke the screen, but of late I'm trying to get it working, but it is not charging could u tell what to do
im thinking about upgrading from the nexus 10 to the big ipad pro
Guys i bought a Nexus 10 last week everything works fine but youtube dont work anyone know why?
You need to install a Custom ROM that has support for newer Android Apps. Just do some searches.. Good luck.
Does someone sell the Magnetic Pogo Charging Cable for Nexus 10? Or has someone an idea where I can find one (sold out on amazon, not on ebay either :( )
Mine still works fine my kids like it for RUclips and the battery lasts for days and days. Takes a whole day to recharge tho lol...
My partner has bought one of these for me for christmas idk how i feel about it i guess i wont know until i get it....
I didn't even know this exists!
i thin i still have one but the performance and battery life is not really good nowadays tho it can actually run youtube after a factory reset lol
How much would u spend on a used one
Is it better than nexus 7 (2013)??
Nope
Will it run pubg smoothly
Please do sharp aquos crystal in 2019. It's a very interesting phone.
I'm getting one for shadowgun legends it's cheap and does the job

Wow! Insane! 😨
i have to admit it works ok but a few years cheap tablet will be quicker.

I’m guessing you’re Indian?
dreicqb no man!! I am from Bangladesh.
Why is the back on mine so sticky?
The rubber plastic stuff they used does that over time, unfortunately there's not really a fix for it.
Nexus 10 at 2020 with lineage os 13

My nexus battery life sucks.

Nexus 7 (2013)is better in my opinion
مشكله لا يركب له شريحه ولا ذاكره عشوائيه
