- Clinique has been around since 1968, but I had only tried a couple of their makeup products. So...let's try Clinique and see if there are any hidden gems.

I’ve used Clinique since the late 1970s and I still love it. I just discovered your channel and I’m enjoying your videos very much.
Oh I am an 80s girl and I still use Clinique - I started with their skincare in the 1980s!! Today I use Even Better foundation and the black honey lipstick is a favorite! I also use Moisture Surge sometimes especially in the winter! Your eyes turned out very nice imo - I think they look stunning! Really pretty!!
Oh my gosh Clinique in the 80s was a thing! I have seriously been thinking of simplifying and going with one brand for all my makeup so I don’t have to think about it too much. And I was thinking Clinique. Glad you did this video!
Btw I really liked that blush on you…maybe you used a bit too much?
Thanks Bobbie for your fun videos! ❤
Oh goodness, yes. I still love their products. I can always count on Clinique for good items. Some are great, the best bottom lash mascara (the lash power long wearing mascara! not "the bottom lash" mascara). Wonderful blushes, the Pop blushes, solid shadows, and good foundation. No, not sexy products, but good. Reasonably priced too.
I used ONLY Clinique for years and years until about 5 years ago! I’m 62 and started watching RUclips during the pandemic. Still a fabulous brand! I used their skincare and makeup pretty much exclusively.
Clinique Even Better foundation has been one of my favorites for years, love their lipsticks too.
You look "everyday" fabulous!!! Not over the top, but sooo pretty. Especially like the eyes and the lip color looks great too. I have a couple of those satin lipsticks. Back in the day, I had many, many of the Clinique products. I loved their Burgundy mascara - was so good on my changeable green/hazel/gold eyes. I very much enjoy your videos. I'm not far from you - in New Hope! And we were in Philly last night, at the Union League.
Oh my gosh, your complexion is stunning before you put the foundation on! I just found you on YT, as I was searching for Clinique Powder foundation reviews. I’ve now subscribed and most definitely will be buying that foundation, wow!😃
All the best in 2025
The eye shadow is not too dark, it has a subtle drama that I like. The blush on the other hand is probably not your best choice it looked to shimmery and then splotchy you got it to look good but that would be too much work for me. I've used clinque since I was a teen. I like the way it is low fragrance and feels light
The eyelook is so pretty! I remember trying the color corrector & liking it.
Thank you for being here for me !
Hi Mrs. Betty ❣️ I hope that you're having a wonderful summer. We're picking salmonberries (cloudberries) now in AK. God bless you! 💝
Thank you Lena! I ended up liking it in the end as well!
I went to Ulta in need of advice (I'm 60). Foundation wasn't doing anything for me. A young beautiful girl (clearly a talented make-up artist... though she may not know it yet) suggested Clinique even better foundation. I was not impressed with the recommendation. I bought it because she had spent time with me and I didn't want to say no... I have gotten SO MANY compliments on my beautiful skin using this foundation...Perfect match and does not settle in lines...Thanks Clinique
Which one? there are 3 kinds of even better foundation
@@stephemmick1496 Even Better Broad Spectrum SPF 15.
The first “high end” foundation I ever used over 40 years ago
You definitely saved your eye look, Bobbie. Turned out very pretty. Also love that lipstick on you. Great color!
I’ve been wearing this foundation for several years. I love it. As for the eyeshadow stick, I have one & truthfully it’s not my “cup of tea”. Thanks for the. Idea.
Ok, I'm glad I'm not alone on the eyeshadow stick!!!
I was a die-hard Clinique complection products user from the age of 16 until just a few years ago. Once I hit menopause, none of their foundations looked good on me anymore. That said, that pressed powder is still one of my favortes for setting my makeup (especially under my eyes), their pink chocolate eyeshadow quad, aubergine intense liner, and Chubby Stick Lip Pencil in Bountiful Blush continue to be staples in my makeup rotation.
I still use Clinique products and love the ones I have. I started using Clinique about 30 years ago. One of my favorite foundations was called “Perfectly real”. I loved it. I think it’s been discontinued for a while now. I tried the “Beyond Foundation” and it was way too drying on me. I have not tried one recently. I loved it when you said “I hate this!” Loving your videos, they are definitely entertaining and informative. 😊❤💄
My first high end cosmetic purchase was from Clinique . The bonus kits were always a great option to try their products. I remember the cost then was under $20 and the 5 gems in those cute bags 😊 So many products and affordable options now at the drugstore - I don't purchase Clinique anymore. The Chubby stick lipstick - Neutrogena has one similiar the shade I have has a subtle shimmer to it - it is very pretty. Thanks Bobbie for sharing some of the Clinique products. Have a nice day everyone 🌹
The second eyeshadow is definitely much better. I find powders much easier to blend than cream eyeshadows .
I always wanted Clinique in my teens (early 1980’s) but absolutely couldn’t afford it. When I was a young adult in my 20’s I tried some of it and liked it. Holy grail was the blush in Clover. They discontinued it after a few years and released New Clover but it wasn’t the same. They do still make that color but oh I wish for the original. Of course it probably would not look the same on my 58 year old face as it did on my 22 year old face 🤷🏻♀️
When I was a teen, I my aspirational brand was Clinique. I could really only afford drugstore brands but I so wanted to buy Clinique. These days, the Even Better Foundation is one of my go to foundations. It is probably the most expensive foundation I buy, but it really is a great foundation for me.
It's one of my favorites as well!!!
I just bought some Clinique too! I’m trying their new Black Honey and Pink Honey products.
I think I had every shade of the Chubby Sticks back in the day,Cheek Pop blushes are my favorite from Clinique. Thanks Bobbie for the one brand review I love these videos
I think I need to try the Cheek Pop blushes. Which one is your favorite?
@@MindfulMidlife Heather Pop is my favorite,I also have Nude Pop it’s pretty but a little light on me
@@randig7503 I'm going to check them out, too!
Loved the Chubby Sticks! I think I’ll go pick up a few!
I love Heather Pop. Also Black HonyPop.@@MindfulMidlife
Love the finished look
Love their blushes (the one with the silver case) and their True Bronze. Loved their Solar Pop bronzer but they discontinued it so now I have to get it in eBay.😮 Their bronzer blending brush is my holy grail and works great for blush and bronzer. Not too dense so you have a lot of control. It is a huge brush to. Absolutely love it. ❤
I still use Clinique. Love it for my skin. My oldest daughter was one of the original “Turnaround Girls” for Clinique
No, I do not think the eye shadow is too dark. The second application is better.
I agree! I filmed a video right after filming this one and I really liked how my makeup looked in that one. Thanks Debbie!
I recently discovered the Pop long wear lipsticks, and I'm obsessed! I have 5 and counting. I don't need a lip liner with them, which isn't true of any other lipstick I have.
Oh, I went and bought 2 more today. Oops!😁
Thank you for your reviews. I may give the foundation and satin lipstick a try.
You're welcome! I hope you like them as much as I do.
Hi Bobbie! I was shocked at the payout from that very light colored blush! I love the foundation on you. Your skin looked so natural and pretty! I do love the Chubby Sticks. Like you said they are easy. Thanks for the reviews.
Love the Even Better foundation!
I adore Clinique. The eyeshadow makes your blue eyes pop! Thanks for the video..
Hi Bobbie, oh my, I’ve not used any Clinique products in years. It was the Only makeup my daughter would wear thru high school. You look so pretty. A fresh, soft look. Thank you for sharign
Best lip colours ever. 💕
Yay...thank you!
Your eye shadow looks awesome. Definitely brings out your blue eyes. 😍
I use Clinique and love love their skincare products a lot. Very good and over the years they are still excellent!!!
I like the cream foaming facial wash. I don’t use anything else Clinique lately. I o have one of their original makeup brush sets from back in the 80”s. still use em!!!!!
I like Clinique. They used to have a liquid lipstick several years ago. I loved it. They discontinued it. Then I started using their lipstick called sugar bean I think. They discontinued it. I’ve used their skincare off and on over the years. Thanks Bobbie ❤
Actually that blush looked really good on you it gives the effect of a bronzer, blush, and highlighter
I'm raising my hand! My aunt worked behind a clinique counter at a mall in San Diego, CA so I got to have lots of samples.
Try stippling the blush after you dab it on your hand. It is very nice!
I love their high impact mascara and black honey lip
I always look forward to your videos, you always make me laugh and brighten my day. God bless.
I have never tried Clinique. It all looks so pretty on you.
Thank you Jeannine!
Clinique was my one and only until I was probably in my mid 30s. I loved it so much. Now when I use their foundation, it seems to oxidize and turn orange. Their powder and skincare is still good. The other thing that kept me as a loyal customer for so long was the free gifts twice a year!
One of my favorite foundations..! I'm 47 and have melasma all over my face; this one, although is not long lasting (I wish..!😢), it does even my skin tone beautifully.
Yes it does on me as well and it's lightweight so it's perfect for summer.
I thought the first cream shadow with shimmer looked so pretty on you. :) 2nd color was nice, too. But, have fun with makeup, it washes off! :) PS Try Laura Mercier blush also, very nice
There was a foundation I loved by Clinique in the late 80’s/early 90s and you would shake it to mix it but I can’t remember the name of it. I really loved it back in the day. ❤
I recently started using the wrinkle repair serum in the purple bottle... it has improved my skin greatly. There's a reason why they have been around for a while. J
Clinique products are wonderful. I’ve been a fan since the ‘80s. BTW, they do have waterproof mascara, got it at Ulta.
My aunt gave me Clinique makeup since she knew my parents wouldn’t think of stuff like this. She took me to the counter and set me up at age 15. This started a lifetime love affair with makeup for life. I now only use one of their products, Take the day Off. Clinique is a feel good memory for me.
Oh, Clinique was my ride or die in high school. The blushes were perfect for achieving that sculpted, two-tone cheekbone! 😂I do absolutely love two of their products: the loose setting face powder and the eyeliners. The loose powder does a great job for me in toning things down a bit and sort of giving that air-brushed effect. The gel, retractable eyeliners are super creamy and only need a single swipe. They are deeply pigmented, but easily softened with the smudger at the other end. And then they are set. They are not going anywear. Really terrific if your eyes water (even in allergy season for me). I don't tightline, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if they stay put. Honestly, for me, they are comparable to Tarte's Maneater liquid eyeliners. Plus they are routinely on sale. Also, to take it all off, their Take Off The Day cleansing balm is a dream. It's easy to use, takes off everything (yes, even waterproof mascara!), and it leaves my skin soft as a kitten's ear for DAYS!!!
Hi, why it looked really good on your eye lids, you should take chances, the shimmer looked great on you, you should wear shimmers more because it suits your face, makes you look prettier, take chances more,l am 65, l use shimmers, all my family and friends says it makes more Beautiful, l love playing with different makeup, l try different eyeshadow shades, hugsssss ❤❤❤
I’m not sure what I’m missing but I think it’s a beautiful look, eyeshadow and all. Maybe because I’m watching on a small screen I’m not seeing what you’re seeing. I love it though.
I ended up liking this as well, but the eyeshadow stick is not my favorite. Once the blush was toned down, I liked it much better.
High Impact Waterproof Mascara. I just looked it up. Just for anyone that wants a waterproof. I have sensitive eyes and the only Mascara that I can use is Clinique. I don't use the waterproof but I can use all the others.
I’ve been using Clinque products for 100 years. Well maybe not quite that long. I like their powdered eye shadow in the color “French Vanilla” for underneath my eyebrows. I, too, do not like shimmer eye shadows, and I find it hard to find matt ones. I use Clinques CC foundation, but I will definitely try the “Even Better” one you showed. You have beautiful color eyes. Mine are like a wedgewood blue. I like a bluish/ gray eye shadow. I love that lipstick on you. It’s beautiful. Do you use any eye creams? Or just your moisturizer for under there? And what kind of moisturizer do you use you use?
I have the Beauty Pie Teddy Bear and like you I love it. However, the Clinique dual ended thingy, nah, they are pants! However, you did get it to look very nice. Not keen on the blush, too Aunt Sally! 😊😊
I use their clarifying lotion, moisturizer and foundation.
I think my absolute favorite product of Clinique is their Cleansing Balm (Take the Day Off). This foundation is a close second!
@@MindfulMidlife Thank you! I’ll give the cleansing balm a try.
I am in my sixties and still use Clinique, only during bonus times. If you don't like using your fingers, Lauraraebeauty talks about Revlon's jelly makeup blender which she claims is just like a finger.
I used Clinique years ago. I just think I like L’Oréal foundation just as well & much cheaper. I didn’t like the blush on you as it did separate. Like the lipstick.
If you haven’t done so already, check out Risa Does Makeuo. She has an excellent tutorial on hooded eyes
Risa is a great resource for the more dramatic eyeshadow look on hooded eyes!!! Agreed!
@@MindfulMidlifeI think her placement techniques can be applied to all struggling with hooded eyes even when going for a neutral look.
I started watching your weight loss videos but can't find recent videos with updates on how much you lost. Are you still working with the nutritionist and going to the gym?
I used some Clinique products for years, don’t remember when I quit, probably when I decided to buy only cruelty free products
I like the eyeshadow color on you, just put the darker color on the lid and not in the crease and I think you will like the look better. Maybe use the other stick just for the crease. I love their lipstick and the Chubby Stick lip color. I bought the new Moisture Surge Sheer Tint Hydrator with sunscreen foundation. I absolutely hate it. It goes on so blotchy on my skin and pools into my pores. The more you put on the worse it looks. I do not recommend it at all. A friend of mine bought it too and it broke her out in a horrible rash. I love their mascaras, they are my favorite. So I think like most brands some products are great and others not so much ! Overall I think you got a very pretty look today !!! 💕💕💕💕
Agreed Lisa! I don't think I've ever had a brand that I LOVE every product!
I used to use Clinique and enjoyed their products. However I switched to cruelty free products years ago. 🐰
As a former makeup artist trained in Paris, France, Clinque is the iworst department store cosmetic line to work with. Foundation is slightly okay, but the rest of the color line is very hard to apply. ELF cosmetics is a much better line. If you don't need a fragrance free line you should consider trying anything else.
I have worn it and like it
I wore Even Better foundation for about 4 years
The blush would not have skipped if you had powdered that part of your face
Using brushes to apply concealer and foundation do you wash them out after each use?
No, but I do have doubles on a couple of them. Honestly, I wash my brushes probably once a month, but I don't have any problem with acne. I would do it more if I did.
Wow I think the overall look is gorgeous!
My first foundation in my ea
rly 20's and a beautiful rose colored liquid blush I d give my eyeteeth for these days. I bought the Black Honey lipgloss but it emphasizes my lip lines so its unwearable- so sad!
Do you still like the foundation now?
💕
I was not going to click on this video because I was thinking I just prefer drug store price point. However your Thumbnail really tempted me.
I love your look I think you look gorgeous😊😊
🙌
Loved black honey in the 80s , but recently tried it again and didn't like it. It has a waxy chapstick feel.
Oh, I don't think I'd like that either!
The only reason I don’t use Clinique is that they still do animal testing 😢
Thanks for sharing that. I just don’t understand why any cosmetics are tested on animals it’s just unnecessary 😿
I bought that Clinique shadow stick thing and I disliked it!!
I wish Clinique was cruelty free, they make wonderful some wonderful products… Can you recommend a light cruelty free foundation?
I like the Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream or the ELF Satin Soft Glam.
@@MindfulMidlife Thank you,
I don’t think I’ve ever heard of Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream, where is it purchased from? Now Elf I have heard of…God bless😁💜🇨🇦
@@Diane0123 Here's a link: amzn.to/4bWdapz (affiliate).
@@MindfulMidlife Thank you 💜🇨🇦💜
Lovely, but Clinique, is a little pricey for my budget. Lol
You aren't wrong, that's why I didn't buy too much. I like to review mostly drugstore priced products but once in a while I delve into the high-end brands. This one cost me!
Try to find a Cosmetics Company Store near you. They carry Estee Lauder, Clinique and a boat load of other lines usually starting at 25% off. I wait for the 40 -60% off sales. They have hair products, makeup, skin care, perfumes, etc., they even have Tom Ford and The Ordinary.
