Missed opportunity from ASUS. There’s so many little things that could’ve been improved over any O11 based cases, yet they’ve created more issues that the O11 doesn’t have.

Hopefully Lian Li and other case manufacturers implement at least optional handles like this one has though. The case long handle was one of the big perks on my old Thermaltake lvl10 GT case. Made transportation of that behemoth to/from lan parties significantly better.

Another perfect case review Chris, well done pal!!! I loved the time you took to clearly pointing out that ergonomics is a major factor when we talk about PC cases. So, eventhough i consider my self an ASUS fan, i would say that there are more than one yellow cards about this product. One of the advantages of LIAN LI (huge fan there..lol) is that listen to people and comes up with real improvements in the designs and ergonomics (apart the air flow). This is a major advantage and ASUS should follow the same route.

Thank you for mentioning the other components temperatures of the motherboard and things installed on the motherboard. I had a brief problem with drive and RAM thermals when I put a 360 AIO in the front of my Fractal Torrent which I was able to sort with fan curves and a vertical GPU mount.

A lot of discussion about the wasted space in the rear compartment because of the fan bracket...but no mention that this is actually a hybrid bracket that can be used to mount 3 hard drives. You even mentioned that this is an advantage of the o11 when this case has basically the same feature. Really great review though, I used this video when shopping for this case and have finished my build in it. Thanks for the detailed review.

Very nice review of this case, I was very tempted to get this in white but went with the smaller 011 mini in the end as getting the GT05 was difficult in the UK back then.
It’s a shame Asus had design oversight for the side mounting in the side, that’s a surprise.
It’s still a nice case though.

Very good video! The O11 dynamic evo was my original pick, but the look of this one suits a bit better my gaming orientation. I'm not sure which one I'll pick, but you helped me a lot to correctly choose. By the way, huge thank you to talk about the 2nd chamber AIO mounting as I was thinking about it. Now I know that I will not do it.

@@ethaneaves_04 I still did not upgrade my PC, but I'll go with either the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO or the new O11 Dynamic evo RGB if it gets release on time for black friday. It is very similar to this case but more of a chic look, instead of hardcore gamer look

Wish I had found this case sooner. Ended up buying a NZXT H9 Flow. Despite being superior in many ways (airflow, cable management, storage) I really like the TUF esthetics, not to mention this one looks sturdier.

14:15 Using fans on the top of the case as exhaust fans and Placing the 360mm AIO in the secondary chamber of the case, the air heated by the radiator block will not go to the graphics card, which blows up the cold air that entered under the case. This is an organization that solves the traditional problem of blowing heated air into the case when using the AIO on the front, in traditional cases.

  • @dovydassiugzdinis7998
    @dovydassiugzdinis7998 4 месяца назад

When mounting the CPU AIO radiator at the rear of the case you are supposed to remove all the fans on the side bracket and instead mount the 3 HDD metal plates there to seal off the secondary chamber preventing hot air air from entering the main chamber which should give better temps for both CPU and GPU. Asus put out a guide on how to do it correctly.

What a great video! Thank you very much! May I ask you for a recommendation:
I am about to install my current setup in this case. There will be 3 different fan editions within the 10 in total, however all 10 will be from the same vendor (CoolerMaster) at least. Thinking about airflow, how should I take the 3 different CFM values of those fans into account? I will have
3 x fans with 52 CFM each, (unfortunately these are the best looking ones, which I would love to install as outtakes)
    3 x fans with 62 CFM each,
and 4 x fans with 75 CFM each.
Would what be your suggestion on the installation as in/outtakes? Should the sum of CFM of intake and outtake be as close to each other as possible?

You really should have top mounted the radiator.... the back mount is for a GPU AIO radiator and the reason its seperated is the dual chamber for the CPU and GPU radiators to not conflict with one another...

What would you suggest for dual GPU setup for GT502 or can you suggest GT 503 for this kind of usage ? I do not like tower style cases. I m going to use ASUS PROART Z690 CREATOR motherboard for dual GPU and for GPU possibly wait Asus to release Pro Art 4070 Ti edition other wise I have couple of GPU's EVGA 3070 FTW3 / Sapphire RX 580 and 1080 Ti which are working different machines one by one. I want to reduce machine count and keep things as possible as small. I eager to sell couple of them and add a regular 4070 Ti to for dual GPU setup but these GPU's too thick. Do you think I have to buy a 4.0 PCIe Riser cable ? if I need I will go for Lian Li 60 cm for different GPU usage options, GT502 looks like enough space for dual GPU setups.

I grabbed a 502 in white, fitted a artic 2 360 AIO in the roof I could of squeezed it in the wall gap with not one mm to spare but would of missed out on a fan either top of bottom of the case depending on the way I mounted the tubing (I feel they messed up with the wall bracket that holds the AIO at the top and bottom it needs trimming top/bottom to allow the tubes to pass through from the rear then the aio could fit in the rear and and have the fans on the front wall and there would be room for top and bottom fans), I also used the wall fan as a intake and blocked off the rear of the rear panel with a piece of foam just allowing filtered air in. I'm pleased you answered the question on fitting the additional fans in the rear adding no benefit and just noise saved me finding out at cost.

So many things could’ve been better improving from the o11. Even the O11 Evo failed to accomplish. Roof clearance, despite being better with the Evo, could be closer to the side glass panels. Bottom filter was a downgrade. Side chamber bracket was much better on the Evo (can be adjusted).
Any case willing to improve upon the O11 must be bold, as otherwise anyone will just stick with the Lian Li case. Best move would be, almost what the upcoming O11 EVO XL is going to do: slightly larger case all around but support for triple 140mm. For radiators, most fans are rubbish, but for an aircooled GPU and AIO for CPU that would be interesting.
