I am a single mom of three and found this video to be a great way to DIY. I paused it after each step, ran down to my dryer in the basement and followed your instructions. Dryer is apart and I am just waiting for new belt to arrive in the mail. I will follow your instructions on how to install belt and re-assemble the dryer. You saved me big $$$$ by not having to call someone to fix it for me or worse yet having to buy a new dryer. Thanks so much!!
You're the bomb!! Thanks to you, I changed the motor coupler in my washer and now I am changing the thermal fuse and tstat in my dryer. Both appliances went out within two weeks of each other. Story of my life :-)
Hi - I very much appreciate your posting of this tutorial. Luck has it that my repair man was delivering his 3rd child with his wife in the hospital when I called him and it was not until I viewed this video that I noticed that my issue was a simple broken belt. Cheers and all the best to you!
This is one of 3 of your videos I've used to fix my dryer and save a load of $$. The videos are well filmed, clear, offer detailed close-ups and are well narrated. Great job. Thanks
Your pace and descriptions of what to do are fantastic. In addition to being an excellent repairman you are an awesome teacher. Thank you so much for your time spent making this video!
You have been extremely helpful to me with first a freezer fan replacement and now the dryer- same issue. thank you !!! Good calm videos - that works !!
Who knew? Beautiful tutorial, video and step by step instructions! Ya know.....I am actually chomp'n to start the dissassembly! Thanks for your time and expertise!
Thanks, Bill. I needed to tighten the blades that toss the clothes around because one was about to fall off but I didn't know how to get to the bolts. Saw your video and it was an easy fix. I really appreciate your help. Chris
Thanks for this video! I'm now $0.40 richer having finally removed the riotous quarter and three nickles from within one of the fins in the drum. Pro-tip: you can remove the fins without taking the front of the dryer off as they are simply connected to the drum by three 1/4" screws. Anything rattling around in the dryer is likely stuck in one of the fins and easily removed.
Thanks, Bill. I had just purchased a used series 90 and it was loaded with lint. I couldn't figure out how to get it open. Your description was excellent, especially the next one on replacing the belt: showing it both with the drum out and with it in. Liked seeing your 750 Shadow as well. I ride a 600 Shadow. Many thanks.
Well it's 2018 but this info is still valid, thanks Bill! I'm still nursing my 90 series dryer along thanks to you. With your easy to follow directions it's not a big deal anymore. I have used this video a couple of times and also some of your other ones. Don't know why I haven't subbed before but I am now, thanks again
Thanks for posting these videos. I have watched a few of them in order to trouble shoot my dryer and it worked! I also love how you bring your personality into the videos. Nice kitten (sure it's a cat now) and nice Honda. I also started with a 750 ACE. Thanks again, your videos are very detail oriented and not boring at all!
thank you sir for all the videos on this dryer I was able to diagnose the heater element and get it running again. although it took me all day but it works again.
Great Video! It's pretty accurate or Kenmore 800 series as well. Being an electrical engineer it kind of spooks me you didn't mention unplugging the appliance at the beginning. However, you did mention it before high voltage stuff was exposed. Again, great video, good speed. Jim
Great video Bill. thank you. Dryer ran fine before disassembly, just really squeaky and noisy, so I greased everything. Unfortunately, I've reassembled my dryer and it won't turn on. Double checked everything including wiring connections, etc. What could be the cause?
Thanks, Bill, this was very clear and well explained. If I get the dryer back together with no left over pieces, it'll be perfect :0) I really do appreciate your video!
I did this disassembly before I watched your video, and I did it the same, though I didn't disconnect the springs before I took the front panel off, so this just fell off in the processes, and I was concerned I wouldn't know where to hook them back on, but your video captured that. Thanks! I noticed the little gold coin looking thing on the drum in your video is closest to the front. When I took my dryer apart, the coin thing was closest to the back. Is the drum symmetrical, meaning can you flip the drum around and it still operates just fine?
This video shows everything except what I wanted to know: how to remove and replace the control board. I have a thermal fuse that continually blows, and I've ruled out all the easy fixes, so the last thing to try is to remove and repair the control board, except I can't see any way to get to it. I think it's in the rear of the dryer in the panel behind the drum, and the only way to get to it is to remove the back of the dryer, except on my dryer, the rear panel appears to be welded on.
Hi there great job, I need help, i fixed my kenmore dryer and replaced the idler pulley, when i was putting back the blower cover, i noticed a white flap at the bottom of the blower cover, not sure where it goes bendable flap goes, anyone idea ? let me know please and thanks for your great page.
Hey Bill, I wanted to check the back part of my kenmore 90 series dryer. However that back part won't come out. Tried to put back the screws but looks like the back part shifted down wards and now we're the screws go won't line up to the whole. Any advise on what to do.
I have the 80 series and the door wire component is so difficult to remove! Two plastic prongs that I can't press in to release. Any tips on this is much appreciated!
I'm trying to replace the thermal fuse. All the videos start with "remove back panel" but that's not so easy on a Kenmore Series 80 dryer. After I took out a bunch of screws from the back, I saw that that would not help me. How do I get the back panel off?
I got a replacement motor for my Kenmore just like the one you show here and the replacement motor is for whirlpool and has a instruction for wiring changes. The directions son't have the correct wire colors that are on my Kenmore. How do I wire this together? Can you PLEASE help me.
I want to replace motor on my Kenmore dryer and the motor I got is for a Whirlpool. It has a sheet to tell hoe to wire for kenmore but doesn't even have the correct colors that is on my Kenmore. How do you change this wiring? This is very frustrating and the schematic dies not have the same color that the directions that came with the new motor says.
Bill Newberry The most important part was learned from your video - how to open the top and front of the dryer. Before your video I removed the back looking for access to the belt. Something that may have been missing from your video is how important it is to make sure that the seal on the back side of the drum is not folded over, into the dryer. The instructions I got with the replacement belt say not making sure the seal is in the correct position, all the way around the drum, could lead to a fire. I checked from inside the drum and could see how the seal was folded over to the inside of the drum - before I fixed it.
Thank you for this...but you stopped before the worst part!! I've got an older Whirlpool Gold, & getting that tupid tube out --the one on which the thermostats & heating element are mounted--was by FAR the worst part! It took 3 major wrestling matches to get it unmounted from the back, & I coudln't see how the flange mounting worked. It took maybe 8 total minutes to ID the problem, remove the defective thermostat, order new ones & replace them. Four days & many, many curses later I still can't get the bloody freaking tube remounted. Anyone got any tips on how to get that &@%^&ing piece of filth back on, before I have to NOW spend over $100 bucks just to get the damn thing back together?? update: never mind. I absolutely refused to disassemble the ENTIRE freaking dryer to put that part in*, so I ended up bending down the little, semi-circular tab which went into the flange at the back. Since the whole assembly is held in place with 2 screws on the brace in front, it hasn't made a bit of difference. And my obnoxious neighbor swore I'd never be able to fix my dryer, because he couldn't figure it out. HA HA HA, pbthbthbththth!! . *reminded me of the Fiat Spider I used to have, where you had to pull the engine block just to replace the spark plugs.

Thanks. Your video is still relevant. I’m working on my 20 year old dryer today.
Great video. None of the BS music and stuff other videos often have. Yours is nice, concise and to the point. Thanks.
You're the bomb!! Thanks to you, I changed the motor coupler in my washer and now I am changing the thermal fuse and tstat in my dryer. Both appliances went out within two weeks of each other. Story of my life :-)
+Susan Dougherty It happens, but it looks like you got it under control now! Great Job!

Bill, thank you for these videos on the disassembling and troubleshooting the Kenmore Series 90 dryer. I appreciate the detailed instructions.
This is the best How to video I've seen. Thanks for the real step by step instructions!!
Who knew? Beautiful tutorial, video and step by step instructions!

Awesome video, you are great, Bill. Clear, concise, I appreciate the time you took to make this video. Now, off to change the belt on my dryer!
Thank you i know you did this video 7 years ago but I’m getting to do the same thing to my dryer and your video is going to make the job so ez 😉 🍻
Your videos were a huge help. I was able to troubleshoot my 90 series dryer and my 70 series dryer. Great job. Thanks
Greg Deaton Thanks for the Great Comment!
Thanks, I'll work on mine this evening..... I was a appliance repairman from the early 70s, who changed fields in 79, when I joined the U.S. Navy...

This video and the video about replacing the belt saved me a ton of money. More than if I had switched to GEICO:) Thanks Bill.
Really appreciate this video! Very informative and helped me not have to buy a new dryer! Thank you!
thanks for this video, my son called me asking how to do this...I appreciate all your time a efforts on these very much!
Awesome! Thanks for Watching!
Thank you for this! Without dis-assembly instructions, the shortest path to the motor is guesswork.

THANK YOU. YOU SHOULD CREATE OTHER VIDEOS. YOU ARE GREAT AT TALKING AND EXPLAINING.
Thanks for posting these videos. I have watched a few of them in order to trouble shoot my dryer and it worked! I also love how you bring your personality into the videos. Thank you so much for taking the time and the effort to make this kind of video. Just saved me some big $$$$ . Replacing a 12 dollar belt.
i never comment on videos, but thank you for taking the time to make this. I appreciate it!
+Justin Wolf You are very welcome! Thanks for the comment and Thanks for Watching!
Thank You! This one and Dryer belt replacement vid is just what I needed! It's a good dryer. And I want to keep it. So the video was very useful!
thank you sir for all the videos on this dryer I was able to diagnose the heater element and get it running again. although it took me all day but it works again.
Thanks Dave. You just saved me $350!
Excellent video saved a lot of aggravation

This was quite good, but would be nice to see how to remove the belt for a newbie like myself. Otherwise, fantastic!
Hey Bill tank you for uploading this video. It saved me a ton of time and money. Thanks again.
Very helpful. I was able to replace the dryer belt and not go out and buy a new dryer. Thank you very much......hey like your bike, cool.
Thank you, Bill. Same type dryer I have and now mine is purring like a kitten after replacement of rollers and some other parts.
I loved watching this even more in two times playback speed get it done faster lol thanks for the information
I would give this TEN thumbs-up if I could. Very helpful!
Thanks, Bill, this was very clear and well explained. If I get the dryer back together with no left over pieces, it'll be perfect :0) I really do appreciate your video!
***** As long as the extra piece isn't too important! lol I'm sure you did fine!
Thanks. I still have one of these old beasts.
Best teardown video, thanks fren
Great video, very easy to follow. Thank you . Do you have any troubleshooting videos from here?? Thanks man

How does that moisture sensor work? And what’s it for? Also my dryer won’t go down to low heat setting. What should i check to try fixing it?
Thank you for this!!
Thanks. This helped me out a lot!
Thanks man you are a life saver
Great video. Very helpful.
Someone said we lost Bill. Is that true? If so, I'm so sorry. He did such fine work for us.

great video. just what i needed👍
Thanks Man - Got the new belt on and cleaned the crap out of the inside of mine. What is up with the dryer you had? It looked like it was in a war? :)
Thanks! Very helpful

Stanley Hamrick Thanks!
I must have a different kenmoee sedies 90 dryer. Bc mine looks different. Where is your lint trap ?
will it still fit down the basement with an 22" opening ????
I got a replacement motor for my Kenmore just like the one you show here and the replacement motor is for whirlpool and has a instruction for wiring changes. The directions son't have the correct wire colors that are on my Kenmore. How do I wire this together? Can you PLEASE help me.
great stuff...

i have a kenmore model 63022100 and need to know what capacity it has...?
Attempting this on my own. I'm to the point of preparing to remove the front/door and the yellow wire on mine wasn't even plugged in 🤦🏼♀️
Got any newer model videos
You skipped the part I was looking for - where is the belt? I think mine is broken.
Mark Welsch There is probably another video on my channel for replacing the belt on this washer.
Thanks for Watching!

Why did you not show the back this one is comicated
