Id like to mention just in case people panic or whatnot, depending on the size of the shrink it can take much longer than a second or two ;) Dont worry and just wait.
Been trying to partition a removable drive, and all the other way people have told me to do it have been very complex, this way was simplicity it's self, also the commentary was clear and precise, thank you.
I didn't see anything new or different. It's pretty much the same as in Windows 8.1/8/7/Vista and so on. However, this is a nice tutorial video for beginners.
Thanks a lot for your help. Video was crisp and to the point, no unnecessary talking. I was able to follow all the procedures in a simple step by step manner...Hurry..!!
This was really well done. Thank you so much for this help! I just bought a 4 TB hard drive and it was my first time doing anything like this so I was really confused and worried since it didn't show anything. All sorted out now. Thanks again!
Thanks! It worked for me! I had to extent the (C:) multiple times due to the limit it game me, but then managed to combine all allocated to single one. Straight forward!
Thanks , now I know I'll repeat and watch because I'm an ICT student we have an activity about Partion hard drives , now I don't to worry about it. Thanks 😘
Prime Ninja I really hope you're trolling. If you're not, then it's 8192 MB, because 1 GB is NOT 1000 MB but rather 1024 MB. That's a fact. IF we were measuring in Gbits and Mbits then 1 Gbit = 1000 Mbit, but were not. 1 byte is 8 bits.
Dino Prašo You are obviously the one who is trolling. Please get your facts straight next time you call something a fact. 1 GB is 1000 MB, or E9 Bytes, exactly 1 Gigaton is E9 tons. What you are referring to is called Gibibyte, which is abbreviated by GiB. This probably got a common misconception, because Windows Explorer shows file sizes in GiB, but shows the unit GB. You most probably also are an American, because the misconception is even more likely to happen if you are not used to the consistent metric system: Giga always means E9 times the unit suffix, GiB means 2^30. I hope this clears things up for you, because you sounded very serious.
Simple, Clear, absolutely understandable for someone like who is not a geek.Thank you so much for your tutorial. You are one of those people that makes our world better each day.
What would we need such partition ? If I have to reinstall Windows, would it keep the other partitions untouched ? Is it a good idea to install all programs on a separate partition, so as not to loose them if one day I need to do a fresh Win install ?
Thanks A Lot!!!!!!!!!!!! I Have A Dell Laptop Of Storage 1 Tb And Full 1Tb Was Made Into One Partition For Windows. But I Thought How To Make Partitions From Only One Big Partition Without Loosing My Os, I Saw This Video.... And It Helped Me
Thank you so much. It helped me to change my drive name. Don't know but when I install windows through USB, it just automatically made USB as drive D: and it frustrated me all the time. By looking at this video, I figured out a way to change the name of the second partitioned disk to D: instead of my USB showing as Local Disk (D:) when I plugged it.
you can only extend your c drive or any other drive if the unallocated memory space is present just adjacent to the drive you want to extend. otherwise the extend option will not be highlighted. Best of luck!
Very helpful. expecially the reverse! thank u. Do you have a video to restore to Factory Settings for a laptop? What things you should be aware of and what to backup before doing it. thank u so much!
Hi WinBeta, first of all thank you for the useful information you provided. Now,I know how to do partition.Yayy! Just one question: Can I install various operating systems in those partitioned drives or it will create any problem?
beautiful never have to rewind pause or slow down so smooth
After 6 years.... Your video is.. effective. ... That's call a video....
Thnks.
Id like to mention just in case people panic or whatnot, depending on the size of the shrink it can take much longer than a second or two ;) Dont worry and just wait.
It's taking too much time and still loading and there is no partition after that.
Thanks was actually freaking out
Been trying to partition a removable drive, and all the other way people have told me to do it have been very complex, this way was simplicity it's self, also the commentary was clear and precise, thank you.

I didn't see anything new or different. It's pretty much the same as in Windows 8.1/8/7/Vista and so on. However, this is a nice tutorial video for beginners.

Thanks! It worked for me! I had to extent the (C:) multiple times due to the limit it game me, but then managed to combine all allocated to single one. Straight forward!
It has no option to extend the volume
WinBeta
the unallocated space needs to be directly adjacent to the file you'd like to extend... as for how to do that, that's what I want to know.
Go for d drive
Thanx a lot. I am searching for this past 1 year and finally I got it and once again thanx

Thank you for sharing. I never thought that make storage partition is so simple. Two thumbs up!
But when I try to reallocate memory back to C drive, the option "Extend Volume" can't be selected; it's grayed out. :/
1st delete extended volume and then you can able to reallocate memory back to C..

Windows has 2TB limit. You have to convert the drive from MBR to GTP to do that you have to get Aomei Partition assistant Professional.
thank you very much. i followed your steps and partitioned my local drive. wonderful tutorial. yayyyyyy. i am so happy.
"1.17 GB free of 1.19 GB"
6 years ago and still works :3
2:13 Yeah... It's "OBVIOUSLY" NOT 8000 MB... it's 8192 MB.
Why would that be? I don't see what's wrong, because it obviously is 8000 MB
