Its amazing that as soon as 482 hits the road thats all you can hear, love the old detroit diesel motors, its a shame that there are hardly any left, department by me has a ladder truck that has a detroit diesel I believe, they hardly ever drive it though, last time I saw it it drove by my house and I heard it with the windows shut, those motors are amazing. I saw it the other day in traffic but couldn't really hear it.

@@Ohio_FireGroundPhotography damn :( Berwyn heights "memphis belle" 1990 pemfab ranger days is numbered as the new squad 14 is approaching final inspection and will displace the 2004 seagrave as frontline rescue which will then become squad 14B and this will retire "memphis belle" :(
That Detroit/Allison combo is unmistakable wherever it's heard. Sweet!
I love how I can always hear the 6V92 before the Q2B on these old Seagrave pumpers.
Who needs a siren when you've got a Screaming Jimmy at full throttle?
No need for the siren....that 6v92 does all the talking!
The Q in the mix just makes it even better.
Thats how a fire truck should sound!!!!!

New rigs just aren't as reliable as these old work horses.

@baul104 Not seeing, hearing! I love these, very comforting to be able to hear them from a mile away, especially when our house was on fire.
My department has a 1990 Grumman snap on tool truck as our rescue, and it sounds just like the old Seagraves
Love the jake on that truck. We've got a '91 Grumman with a 6v92, but it isn't nearly as loud! Still love the sound though, regardless.
RIP 482
Cool lights.
Don't need no siren to hear her coming!
Thanks for watching and for the sub!
I miss hearing 6v92s on the road.
Sure! West Lanham Hills Volunteer Fire Department.
Love the front light
Great vids I subbed! That old rig looks awesome!
A 6v92, federal Q _and_ a PA300!? Can this fire engine get any better?
Just needs to be red.
Do you have any footage w/both engines responding together
Do u know that kids hate that 😂 1:03
