Ah yeah I see it in the title now lol I only recently learned of Epica when I went to see Sabaton September 30th. I will say they are a good band and just like Sabaton have probably made a lifetime fan out of me.

why did he leave epica in the first place? I never found out why only that he had another thing he was doing but he couldnt do it while he was in epica. Never knew what that other thing was though.
His father owns a big company. At a certain point he also worked in the company. Epica became a bigger band, his work at his dad's company increased as well, it was impossible to combine the two anymore. So he choose to go for the company. He is now CEO I read some time ago.
agreed x2 But it's not our band so.... they can do whatever they want just like evanescence removed the rap and scream vocals in bring me to life, it sounds weird but... whatever
@@scottfurniturecr6554 With Bring Me to Life, the band and Amy herself never wanted a male part in the song, but it was a compromise they made with the record label in order to get signed. Initially, the record label wanted the band to hire a permanent male vocalist/rapper to play a part in every song. In Phantom Agony, I feel they changed this in their shows as a way to get the audience more actively involved, somewhat similar to Cry For the Moon's live changes. When you're at a show when they do this, it's fun as hell.

At the end when they are not on the stage anymore and we all started waving was just the most magical moment in a concert I have ever had.
Épica played live in Lisbon this year in February, and after the show they thrown a black towel to the public.... and I catched it in the air :D

I don't like that alternative snare-highhat during the chorus. It breaks all the charm of the original version.
