I despise commercial TV, and got rid of cable. Now we have a Roku box with RUclips, Netflix, Amazon etc. But I now spend more time listening to these old radio shows than anything else, especially at night while struggling with chronic insomnia. I really appreciate all the channels that supply we dedicated listeners with fantastic entertainment...and if ever I find I've heard them all (CBSMT, Whistler,, Lights Out, all personal faves), I'll simply start over and listen again 😀 Thx a million!

Me to ! Its getting harder to find a golden age of radio show I haven't heard but there are literally enough out there now that we'll forget the ones we've already heard b4 we run out ! Escape ranks right on top also ... if you haven't found that old Canadian show nightfall then I highly recommend it! Not a big # of those but man there good ! Enjoy

At the time, the show was heard on Monday nights at 9pm, Pacific Time. Bill Forman is "The Whistler".

I love OTR and murder/mystery movies from ‘29 through about ‘50....plus poirot and late 40’s and 50’s tv. As others have said, “now THAT’S entertainment”!

This was heard only on the West Coast, where Signal Oil was available. Only twice was the series heard "coast-to-coast": in the summer of 1948 (for Household Finance), and the spring of 1955, just before the series ended.

I would much rather listen to these old radio shows and old black and white movies than any of this junk they try to pass off as entertainment today.

There were no closing credits with this one, but I'll take a wild guess and say that Joseph Kearns was the husband, and Elliot Lewis was the boy friend. So, if Elliot was the boy friend, could his wife Cathy have been the girl?
