So happy to have found these....I used to listen to these with my grandpa when I was a kid (and that was in the '70s). He passed away a few years ago...this brings back happy memories 😊
thanx for posting. I've always been a big fan of this show. I'm still looking for the episode of the hit and run driver and of the man with the many voices.
Also, keep in mind that gentleman who provided The Whistler's musical orchestrations, Wilbur Hatch, worked on a far more successful show, I Love Lucy...
that may be, but this is his best work by far. im 35 an thistakes me back as a kid in bed, listing to network replay. im very blessed to have this audio at the push of a button.
I used to listen to this when I was young. I'm 83 years old 🎉

This was broadcast right at 70 years ago... and it still holds up. Brilliantly done!
Thanks for the enjoyment I feel when I listen on my headphones in bed at night!
Outstanding quality! Consistent audio and sound levels. Thanks for sharing.
I grew up on this stuff. I'm not all that old either.

I totally agree! Now tv show thrillers can't compare to these. :)
Just heard a bit of this in the film "THE TWO JAKES" and wondered what the show was.
Thanks for posting an episode!

Go to American Radio Classics web page and click on the picture of the old radio. Then look for The Whistler. They have just about every episode.
From a much better time
Wasn't there an actual episode on RUclips that could be watched? Are there any others?
There was a movie adaptation called The Whistler.
great show , but I hate the whistling. Oh btw, it was a 14 yr old girl that did it at the opening.
Lovely video, excellent work. Please feel free to watch my latest video shot in Whistler filming the Ancient Cedars (Y)
