Same here! I'll be 64 Oct. 11th & my oldest of 5 turned 35 Sept 1st. I've been Keef's most ardent fan since I saw them the 1st when I was 12 on 7-24, 25 & 26 1972 at MSG. The Stones & the Dead are the only 2 bands I'd follow to the end. 9:15 pm 10-6-23

I _am_ 2½ weeks off 45, and I gotta say - I don't have lines on my face like Keith. That looks like a hard living 45 years! Isn't there an old movie line from Indiana Jones? "It's not the age honey, it's the mileage!"

It's weird and scary to think that more time has passed between this footage and today (34 years) than the time between the formation of the Rolling Stones and this footage (27 years.) 😅

It must be the greatest job ever but i also see Keiths view that it must be one of the hardest jobs going! You basically have to turn your mind off ,not sleep, disoriented, tired, no family for months at a time and must be hard mentally especially when you finish a tour! Keith has always been moody at the beginning of tours anyway, they used to have to drag him away.

The lives of travelling rock stars continually performing long back to back live shows all over the place, all the loneliness, away from family, spouses etc and constant stress from travel and need for physiological readjustment for different time zones, climate etc must take its toll on health. Not yo mention alm the big money and high risks, dodgy deals, contracts, shysters etc in the music industry. So, is it any wonder many succumb to drugs, booze, whoring around etc. Often caused by stress and loneliness, pressure etc. They can't just take a sic kie on full pay, like other normal workers do. Imagine ringing in sick, to tell your thousands of fans who all bought a ticket to see you, boojed accommodation etc tgat you just don't feel li ke rocking up to see them all, pkay, sing etc, as planned? Or doing crap performances because you have PMS, had a fight with your partner, stayed out late partying or are just plain tired and would rather be h ome in bed as lone than facing the crowd and trying t o appear like you're enjoying it, when you'd rather be home, or any where but on public d isplay, expected to perform. The Sto b es, Keith, Mick, all of them, are great, doing what they do, even now, as older Stones, edges smoothed, by life's wear and tear. Like Beatles, Guns and Roses and other great bands of the 60's, 70's and 80's eras, they are legendary and will leave a precious creative legacy that is unlikely to be rivalled by current era artists and will be rememembered by those who loved them and there music. We must conserve this music because it is all we have worth listening c to and fans need to connect with their idols and enjoy their music.
