Only stopped off in Arnside for butties and parked near the rail track, didn't know about Arnside knott. Old sandy paws enjoyed her channel hoping on the lovely beach. Yes, great views from the Knott. One to remember. Thanks Glenn. 👌🐕
Thank you, I've come across this and thoroughly enjoyed it, I can't get about like I used to and this has made my week, Morecambe Bay And South Lakes are beautiful xxx
I love this, I've done the walk many times since i first started visiting Arnside 20 years ago.We visit the area 3 or 4 times a year and are lucky to have a friend with a flat on the front in Arnside.
When I was a kid we used to caravan at Holgate's caravan park (it was very different in the 60's to now). Arnside Knott was a fabulous place for kids to pay. A warren of secret pathways through thick trees, pines, ash, birch. I was lovely. The Bore fascinated me. Some of the few happy day's of my childhood were spent there. Lovely. (and yes Scot Pines)
Fabulous video, Glenn. Thanks for your insights and super route. We only live in Heysham and have never done this 🤦♀️🤦♀️. The pull to the fells is always too strong for us, lol. However, we have some friends coming to stay later in the year, who love a walk but have slight knee issues. The fells proper would be too much for them, but his would be the ideal walk, I think. Incidentally, we are doing the cross-bay walk a week today. I’m somewhat apprehensive, but am looking forward to it. Keep these wonderful vlogs coming - I’m hooked! All the best, Yvette and Mark
Fantastic Glenn, loved that! Your vlogs are just getting better and better. Its always a pleasure to get the notification pop up when you release another one! Take care and roll on spring!
Superb thank you. Got caught by the tide out near Far Arnisde 4 years ago, and does it move fast. Got off by Cove House with little more than damp feet and trousers , but it was pretty sobering to see how fast it was moving, and how suddenly it appeared. Keep it up these are superb.
I'm really enjoying these local walks - I haven't explored southern Lakeland - like most Southerners I head straight for the middle so it's been a real insight seeing other parts. They all have their own unique charm. Thank-you!
Brilliant vlog again. So nice to to see Arnside and Arnside Knott again. We used hike over Arnside Knott from Holgates to Arnside (The Albion pub) then back around the coast. So many beautiful little hikes all around that area. Keep up the great work.
Not an exciting walk. That comment made me smile. Your video opened showing stunning scenery. I thought I’d clicked on “The Bay” series instead. You must realise the pleasure you bring to people like me who live in urban cities. The escapism you provide is therapeutic. I love the Lakes and cannot wait to get back up there with my mates taking the mick out each other . Finishing off in the pub groaning from stiffness and aches as we get up to go to the loo. Keep the videos coming.
Great vlog Glen. Just found your channel and trying to catch up Lol. I’m of the older age and think looking at this walk it would be about right for me. Thanks for sharing 👍
Definitely one I'll be doing! Your insights into these more southern areas are really opening my eyes to the joys of that south that whole area! Who knew it was all so lush. I've only ever been across the lakes its self.
First off! Wow opening drone cinematics 🙌 class! Now this place is so much apart of my childhood, and I’ve been planning a visit to vlog for sometime. So it’s great to see your video, proper good Glen! Can’t stop smiling. Further round from the point, we used to stay in a caravan on the farm, walk down the road to the end comes back out on a rocky coast further round there’s caves and a cliff edge walk and where did you go that exact route!! I remember that path had huge ant hills. So many good times as a young lad! Thanks Glen! Bloody brill!
Awesome video as always... I have had a great time exploring some local walks during lockdown - amazing what walks there are on your door step when you explore a little
Cracking video pal! Love the drone stuff at the beginning. Gets you ready for the rest of the video. Love the out takes at the end. Loved it , cheers. Another location to the list from you.
Nice one Glenn. I really like it round there and have been visiting the woods surrounding the Knott quite a lot recently, with another visit on the cards this coming weekend.
Finn reminds me of my old man (jack Russell) he absolutely loved the beach, definitely was his favourite place. If I ever bump into you both I'd be the one cuddling finn ❤ great walk by the way ❤
Yet another great vlog Glenn! The drone footage at the beginning was superb, and the fact the image changed on the downbeat to the music, perfect. The drone footage at 19:27, not so in my opinion, which I know counts for nothing (so our lass says) but still. The footage was good but the fact the drone was flying away (as in backwards) I just find wrong. To me, a journey is about the continental perpetual motion of moving forwards, a meandering through time. I think footage moving backwards negates that but hey, that's just my opinion 🤷🏼♂️ On the whole, another great video 👍🏻
I've been trying to get intouch Glenn! the club @ChaBradford is coming to the lake's in April and doing some well known walks.. We would love for you to come and join us and we are more than happy to be in your Vlogs. How about doing Jack's rake??? sometime in April or early May.
Hi Andrew, sorry, not had a chance to reply to your email as I'm ridiculously busy at the moment. I'm not entirely sure what I'll be doing in April as work is very fluid and something can pop up without notice. I'll get in touch if I'm free 👍
I did this walk a couple of years ago. I was totally disgusted by way people had treated area. I came across a couple of wild camping spots. And it was littered with rubbish strewn all over. Broken tents and beer cans and smashed bottles. And fire pits scorched earth. It was so sad to see.

I've been trying to get intouch Glenn! the club @ChaBradford is coming to the lake's in April and doing some well known walks.. We would love for you to come and join us and we are more than happy to be in your Vlogs. How about doing Jack's rake??? sometime in April or early May.

Great vlog, not been to Arnside, must make the trip.
Thanks very much, it's a brilliant little place 😍
Gréât vlog again Glenn. Good to see the Kent estuary again. Difficult to pass the Albion without stopping for a refreshment?
Thanks very much Stuart 😊 The Albion was always on our itinerary. Very weird to see if all closed up 😭
Fantastic vlog Glen, let us know when you buy that house! Haha
Thanks very much.... I've put my offer in. It might be rejected 😂
My niece used to be an NT ranger at arnside but I never got chance to visit. I'm sure her house was on there somewhere😊
Now that sounds like the perfect job 😍
@@BlackCrag she's at shrugborourgh now looking after all the animals on the estate. I'm not jealous at all😂

That's a terrible shame. I see this a lot nowadays, especially last year in the Lakes. Hopefully they'll all clear off to magaluf soon 🤞
