  • This is a short video of how to use the Roland 4X Accordion editor. It is a wonderful and easy to use tool for your Roland 4X accordion. I hope that you will give it a try. Programming your own user programs is easy and also teaches you about the 4X.
Get to know your new accordion. Set it up your way. Have fun. Do your own thing.

Hi Linda, thanks for all these videos you make. I watch them all. I purchased a Roland 4x…picking up this Thursday. My most important question, is can the 4x be connected to receive and transmit to my Ketron arranger WITHOUT using a computer? That is, can I set up my treble, chord and bass (channels 1,2,3) for the Roland to communicate with the arranger via the Roland interface itself? Without connecting it to a computer first. I’m hoping the dealer can help me with this, but he does not seem to have much experience using arranger/sound modules. All his experience lies in the Roland sounds exclusively. Any information you can offer would be greatly appreciated by this Roland novice 😊

You have such a terrific instrument to enjoy, and appears that you have mastered all the features. I would love to get one of my own.

Dear Linda, great demonstration as per all your videos. I have the FR4X and the sounds are great with quality headphones but I’m always disappointed with the nasal sound of built-in speakers. What amplifier or active speaker would you recommend for best fidelity/full rich stereo sound this accordion is capable of? Kind regards from Australia.

Lots of good amps out there. I have my large setup which is connected to jbl speakers but for small jobs I have a roland BA 330. The roland KC series is nice but heavier and more expensive. Bose of course

I have no problem with the accordion voices. You can edit the accordions. Add reverb. Chorus. Etc. You can combine reeds from different accordions. Just experiment I guess. Also the bellowing is complex different from an acoustic. You have to get use to that.

You can save on the editor
Hit save. Then you have to decide if you are saving to a set or user program.
