A lot of people say Ncuti's "I am The Doctor" moment comes at the end in Dot and Bubble but for me personally, The Doctor screwing with his captor was the moment I said to myself "oh my gosh this is The Doctor"
I didn’t love the episode, I thought it was quite middle of the road standard Doctor Who but it had some great moments like this scene, this scene is great!
Realistically they did kinda need something to just ease back the pacing a bit, even if a lot of stops have been pulled out to try to have this series be a "we can be what you loved, just give us another chance?" thing, before the finale.
I had so much fun watching this scene man. I love how Ncuti's Doctor just allows himself to show emotion or show that he's having fun while past Doctor's would have been straight faced in this situation.

But I don’t agree that Ncuti’s playing the exact same character. Eric wasn’t as naturally confident and comfortable within his own skin as the Doctor is. They’ve got a few things in common on the surface, but that’s about it.
