I cannot describe how beautiful this is. Anyone who wants to do any form of "fusion" ought to listen this and study how well this is done. Most will quit because they cannot do what has been accomplished here. Sri Gurucharan should be commended and encouraged for an outstanding adaptation of the original for this collaboration. He has done that without swerving from either the diction (impeccable), or the rAga chAya or the bhAva. Kudos. As for Sri Sreenivasan, I have no words. Handling the piano like a boss, and make it do things that I would not have thought possible. It is mellifluous beyond description, and takes the already fantastic singing to a hard to imagine level. I think these two artistes genuinely enjoy this combination, and have not done it simply to "market" themselves. Live long and make many a song!
Well I am not an expert technically but listen to asai mugam by Karthik, That sounds much better with excellent feel thann Sikkil. Sikkil might want to take a leaf out of Karthiks book here.
+Subramanian S I don't agree. Slow singing does not represent "feel" like many people imagine. "Feel" is what the singer stirs in the hearts of the listeners. I find this very natural. But yes, I respect your opinion.
+Latha Baradwaj I agree with you wholeheartedly. It takes a lot of control over the pitch, intonation, layA and sAhitya to sing it slowly and yet hold the viewer's experience at pleasing plane. Sri Gurucharan and Sri Sreenivasan have done an outstanding job.
I am addicted to this song
I kept enjoying this one song for nearly three hours again and again.
It didn't let me put my phone down.
Commendable performance by Gurucharan & Anil Srinivasan in this beautiful Jonpuri Rag composed by Subramania Bharathiyar.Kudos to you both👍👍
Super! soulful! என்ன ஒரு உருக்கம்! திரும்பத் திரும்ப க்கேட்கத் தோன்றுகிறது.
Soulful, moves you. Longing, pathos, desperation, angst - all rolled into heavenly music.
Wow wow wow... Enna oru kural..amazing
I don't understand anything, but the feeling and music tells everything
I think this song has so much soul, I can never get over it. Beautifully sung!

Excellent
very nice!
Well, Karthik is good but he's too flamboyant. Gurucharan is truer to the classical flavour of this Isai.
Anil you are Amazing... please post more videos of your performance!!
Could somebody translate?
yah,
miss latha baradwaj seems to antagonize everything that walks this planet
Who are those "pathetic" 10 people who didn't like it ?
Lata, they are just Fools....
The singer is forgetting talam.
